1C 1834 PCGS MS65RB LG 8, SM ST MED LT EX HOLMES
SUPER ULTRA HIGH END!
$ 8500.00
The Newcomb # is N-4. This is one of our all time favorite Large Cents. The coin just has a look that we love. The quality is SUPER ULTRA HIGH END. Could PCGS have been any tougher on early Large Cents? NO!

Absolutely pristine surfaces dominate both sides. We used a powerful glass and looked over every inch and found ZERO impairments of any size any where. About 30% GEM ORIGINAL MINT RED is visible-mostly around the devices. The balance of color is a delicate GEM ORIGINAL pale brown. There are ZERO spots or toning dots. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. There is some minor weakness from uneven striking pressure in a few stars. The eye appeal is mind boggling!

PCGS 6, NGC 0, CAC 2. This coin last sold in the Dan Holmes Sale 05/2010 for $5,750.00. We assure you, there are NO other 1834's like this coin! If it were in an MS66RB holder, we'd still be madly in love with it.

1C 1839 SILLY HEAD N-9 PCGS MS65RB NAFTZGER
MOSTLY GEM MINT RED!
$ 9500.00
Our jaws dropped and locked and we still can't eat! Yes, this coin is that amazing.

A remarkable luster shows off surfaces that are basically perfect. We used a strong glass and covered every inch and found ZERO imperfections. Shockingly about 85% of this coin is GEM ORIGINAL MINT RED. There are some splashes of light brown toning (and a few pinpoint toning dots) scattered around. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is phenomenal!

PCGS 6, NGC 2, CAC 4 (we believe this coin is represented 2x). PCGS has graded only ONE full RED coin-an MS66+ coin that we sold back in 2011 for $70,000.00 (and the color was funky at best). The only time this coin ever appeared in auction was back in 2009-at the original Naftzger Sale. We bought it out of that sale for $6,037 02/2009 Goldberg. Its been 5 long years hidden away and yes, this coin definitely has appreciated-and deserves it. In a major auction it probably would go for a "runaway" price. We assure you, there is NOTHING else like it!

1C 1840 LG DT PCGS MS65RB N-6 NAFTZGER
UNBELIEVABLE!
$ 14950.00
What we are offering here really should not exist! It is a 174 year old Large Cent in perfect condition! PCGS was a bit too tight with calling this coin a 65RB. The quality is ULTRA HIGH END!

At first glance you see a perfect coin. Then when using a strong glass, you still see a perfect coin. For the life of us, we do not know why this coin is not a MS66RB. The colors are about 50% GEM ORIGINAL MINT RED. There are a few pinpoint toning dots scattered around. Some mellow light brown color is visible too. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have crisp full strikes. The eye appeal is like the quality-unbelievable!

PCGS 6, NGC 0, CAC 2. PCGS has graded one higher. This coin last sold in the Naftzger sale (where purchased by Legend) back in 09/2009 for $10,925.00. We assure you, there are few (if any) equals to this magnificent GEM!

1C 1841 PCGS MS66BN
A MONSTER!
$ 5500.00
Some how we managed to lose the pedigree. We believe it is a Nafztger coin-it sure looks like one!

No question this coin is an MS66++. Its got a really neat die crack going through all the stars on the obverse. The surfaces are flawless. A moderate luster also shows off the totally original brown with hints of MINT RED color that evenly coats both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have crisp full strikes. The eye appeal is spectacular!

PCGS 2, NGC 3, CAC 3 (we're pretty sure this is 2x). PCGS and NGC have graded NONE higher. The last one of these to sell in auction brought $4,994.00 09/2014 Heritage. We think that's a steal.

WE HAVE POSTED THIS COIN AT OUR BEST PRICE!

1C 1842 SM DT PCGS MS65RD N-2 NAFTZGER
UNBELIEVABLE!
$ 87500.00
For sure, this is the grand highlight of our Naftzger Large cent offering! We marvel at how this incredible piece even exists.

This unquestionably is the FINEST 1842 RD. The surfaces are remarkably clean and satiny. You can look for hours and find NO imperfections of ANY size,ANY where. A full booming luster combined with absolute ORIGINAL GEM MINT RED colors make this coin resemble a brand new Lincoln Cent! The colors are stable and there is no sign they are turning. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are sharply struck. The eye appeal is beyond anything anyone has ever seen for an GEM RD Large cent from the 1840's! Your jaw will drop and lock while uncontrollable drool runs down your cheek!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. This coin last sold in the Cardinal sale in 01/2013 Heritage. It brought $76,375.00. Back in the original Naftzger sale 09/2009, this coin brought $71,875.00. We never regraded this coin. We can not see how this coin could not MS65+ RD at the very least.

Legend is pleased to be to offer our friends this truly once in life time coin. It will certainly be the highlight of ANY GEM Large Cent Collection!

1C 1843 PCGS MS66BN Petite HD, SM LT N-15 NAFTZGER
OUTSTANDING!
$ 8500.00
There is no such thing as a finer 1843BN 1C! This coin is amazing-typical to the Naftzger pedigree.

Absolutely PERFECT surfaces are smooth and have NO marks. There is a very light planchet impression HIDDEN on the neck-that can only be seen with a strong glass. You will marvel at the surfaces like we did. A strong luster (which does have a full cartwheel effect) shows off totally original shades of GEM MINT RED and beautiful original pale brown. There are NO spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full crisp strikes. The eye appeal is awesome!

PCGS 2, NGC 4, CAC 3 (we think this coin is 2x)The last time this coin was in auction was in the original Naftzger sale. We paid $6,612.50 for it 09/2009 Goldberg. There have been NO 1843 66BN for sale in auctions since! That is powerful proof as to this coin rarity!

WE HAVE POSTED THIS COIN AT OUR BEST PRICE!

1C 1847 PCGS MS66BN
TOTALLY ORIGINAL!
$ 5750.00
A piece that is nearly on par with the legendary Nafztger coins are offering here.

Absolutely FLAWLESS surfaces are the epitome of perfection! We used a powerful glass and found NOTHING what so ever anywhere. A decent luster shows off totally ORIGINAL shades of deeper copper/brown/faded Mint Red colors. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do standout. The eye appeal is superb!

PCGS 5, NGC 26, CAC 3. NO PCGS CAC piece has ever been sold at auction. In fact , the last PCGS piece to sell was a Naftzger coin back in 2009. We can not stress enough how rare this date and grade are!

PHENOMENAL QUALITY+RARITY!
$ 18500.00
What an incredible GEM PROOF! The Mint really knew even 144 years ago how to produce a true forever collector worthy coin! This coin certainly is one. It looks like it was minted yesterday!

Deep mirrors like you'd expect to see on a silver coin from the 1890's cover all of the surfaces. The mirrors are deep, crystal clear, remarkably clean, and have strong reflectivity. There are NO spots or discolorations. The reverse actually has hints of light MINT RED. The obverse is mostly brown with highlights of red. Of course the colors are totally original.. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and have thick frost. The eye appeal is sensational!

Read this carefully: ONLY 7 pieces were minted. PCGS 3, NGC 0, CAC 1. We do think this coin is represented more then once on the PCGS pops. This coin last sold for $14,375.00 in the Holmes sale Goldberg 01/2011. You really can't argue how grossly UNDERvalued a coin like this is-even if all 7 survived and were GEM's. How can they not be at least $25,000.00?? Even an 1848 10C in PR 64 is worth $25,000.00-and that's just a 64!!! If your looking for a neat "put away" piece, here it is. Or, if you have junk or dupes laying around-this is a much better hold for the future!

1C 1849 PCGS PR65RB EX GARDNER/HOLMES
BOLDLY MIRRORED!
$ 36000.00
Being the "secret copper weenies" we are, it is a worst kept secret we madly LOVE all Half Cent and Large cent Proofs. This particular "old friend" had to come home ot us. We sold it to Gene Gardner back in 2011. We can not stress enough what out of this world quality and extreme rarity this piece possesses.

No question this coin is a full mirrored proof. The mirrors are like any you'd see on a silver coin from the 1890's. The mirrors are deep, have amazing clarity, are clean, and are fully reflective. There are NO spots. A gorgeous and totally ORIGINAL color mix of pale MINT RED/gold/pale brown/pale violet/pale green colors all swirl over the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are so sharply struck they look carved out. The eye appeal is absolutely jaw dropping!

ONLY 20 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 4, NGC 1., CAC 1. Back in 2011 we paid $26,450.00 for this GEM out of the Holmes sale. We think a coin like this priced BELOW $50,000.00 is an out right steal. Time will correct this injustice. Once this coin is sold, we doubt you'll see another full GEM for years. Opportunity knocks loud here!

WE HAVE POSTED THIS COIN AT OUR BEST PRICE!

1C 1851 PCGS MS65RD N-10 NAFTZGER
NAFTZGER GRADED THIS COIN MS70!!!
$ 13750.00
What in the world was PCGS thinking when they graded this? We can not make any guarantees, but if this isn't a 66RD, then what is (a 67 in a 66 holder?). You MUST see it to believe it!

The surfaces are absolutely FLAWLESS. There isn't even a microscopic imperfection to be found. A strong luster shows off not only the satiny texture of the surfaces, but the GEM ORIGINAL MINT RED color that blazes all over. There are no signs of fading and you can tell the color is quite stable. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptionally sharp strikes. The eye appeal is so incredible, you'll spend days trying to get your eye balls back in their sockets!

PCGS 17, NGC 8, CAC 4. PCGS has graded NONE higher. Even Noyes graded this coin MS69, while the crazed EAC gods called it a 67 in the original Naftzger sale. In the original Naftzger sale, we dropped out of bidding when this broke $20,000.00. It sold for $24,150.00 09/2009. Then it reappeared in the Cardinal sale and brought a weak $10,575.00 01/2013 Stack. An average 1851 PCGS MS65RD brought $8,225.00 08/2014 heritage. Not just because of the pedigree, this coin is special in EVERY respect when compared to ANY other GEM RED Large Cent for the Type! We can not stress how much opportunity knocks here for the Large cent lover!
