$1 1880CC PCGS MS66+ SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON
  A RAINBOW CRESCENT!
Sold on 03/2010
SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON. We know this coin was just replaced in the Sunnywood Collection-we replaced it with a MONSTER Sonnier 80CC! So until two weeks ago, this was the main 1880CC.

The quality of this coin is also exceptionally high end. Even PCGS has designated it so with their new + grade. The surfaces are smooth and are super clean. A super strong luster also shows off frosty well struck details.

A crescent of MS67.5 colors covers the left obverse. Electric shades of violet/amber/blue all swirl together over 1/3 of the coin. The eye appeal is gorgeous!

This coin is pedigreed Sunnywood/Simspon on the holder. For a colored Morgan, there is no finer pedigree.

$1 1886 PCGS MS67 SIMPSON/SUNNYWOOD
  ELECTRIC RAINBOW COLORS!
Sold on 04/2010
SIMPSON/SUNNYWOOD (Sunnywood not on the holder). Hard to believe there is a wilder 1886 w/color! There is, and it is now in the Simpson/Sunnywood Collection.

Over 65% of the obverse is covered by a monster electric rainbow. The colors include neon like reds/violets/amber/golds/baby blue. We grade the colors MS68!

The technical quality of the coin is all there too. Both sides are extremely clean and pack an intense luster. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have full strikes. This coin is bold eye candy! You can't get a better pedigree for a colored Morgan!

$1 1883CC PCGS MS67 SIMPSON/SUNNYWOOD
  BEAUTIFUL!
Sold on 07/2010
SIMPSON/SUNNYWOOD (only Simpson pedigreed on the holder).

We have sen several 83CC's with color. They are typical bullish and crusty mottled. This coin is a definite exception. in fact, we grade the colors MS66.4. A beautiful bland of autumn gold/reddish gold/pale green/pale blue/pale violet cover the entire obverse. The reverse has some splashes of light gold.

The technical quality is all there and then some. Super smooth and remarkably clean surfaces just glow with a full booming luster-which also brings out the colors. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is super beautiful!

PCGS 128, NGC 115, CAC 14. Here is your chance to add a coin with the ultimate pedigree in colored Morgans to your collection. One look and you will clearly agree why this was originally included in the Sunnywood set.

  NICE!

McCLAREN COLLECTION. This is a nice white GEM! Only a few light and scattered lines are on the obverse. The coin definitely was not messed with. The surfaces are amazingly clean. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is excellent!

$1 1885O MS65 SONNIER COLLECTION
  FLAMING BURLAP TEXTILE TONING!
Sold on 04/2010
SONNIER COLLECTION (not on holder). When the electric company needs power, it comes to this coin! Over 2/3 of the obverse has MONSTER BURLAP BAG TONING.

Yes, this is an ORIGINAL eye popping beast. The left side of the obverse is sprinkled with neon flaming pearl green/intense red/violet/blue/gold/amber colors. They blend into softer baby blue on the right side. An intense luster makes the toning speckles apepar almost 3-D. We grade the burlap color MS68.5! Overall, the quality is solid for the grade. Under a glass you can see a few light hits, but nothing serious. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are about 95% fully struck. Of course its the MONSTER colors that you are buying this coin for.

$1 1901O PCGS MS65

Sold on 07/2010
Above average! There are just a few light ticks or lines around-nothing major to focus on. The surfaces are lightly semi-prooflike and emit a strong luster. The color is a silvery white. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have full strikes. Her cheek just has some light frost breaks. The eye appeal is wonderful!

$1 1880S PCGS MS65 SONNIER COLLECTION
  BABY GODZILLA!
Sold on 05/2010
SONNIER COLLECTION. Sonnier is not on the holder. This is a glow in the dark neon headlight monster! No question its mother IS Godzilla.

Unbelievable monochromatic colors of green/violet/red/blue flame in a fashion you'll never forget on the entire obverse. We grade the colors MS68+! Its like looking at a melted neon billboard on steroids! The reverse has some violet and gold by the rims. An intense luster adds to the drama. The surfaces are appear clean overall. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have generous frost. You can't beat the eye appeal.

If you seek wild colored Morgans, then the Sonnier and Sunnywood/Simpson coins are what you want. This coin is one of the wildest!

$1 1888O PCGS MS64 SONNIER COLELCTION
  A MULTICOLORED MONSTER!
Sold on 04/2010
SONNIER COLLECTION (not on the holder). Except for the Sunnywood/Simspon coin, we have NEVER seen any 88O even remotely close to this coin. The colors mimic some of the wildly toned 82S's we have seen. This coin is totally mindblowing!

The ONLY negative we could find is a small area of weakness in Miss Liberty's hair above the ear and some softness on the Eagle breast. if this coin had been struck just a little better, it would easily break the bank and be worth $25,000.00!!!!!!

This is one of the few coins we rank the colors MS69! The obverse has a streaky partial bag toned (the dots are tiny and white) mix of the wildest colors to be found on any Morgan. Electric reds/greens/violets/blues/ambers/golds mix together so powerfully you won't be able to get your jaw up from the locked position its will get stuck in. A monster full booming luster adds to the colors. There are NO visible impairments. On the reverse, the rims are gold w/a hint of violet. Everything about this coin is mind blowing!

$1 1889 PCGS MS65 SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON
  RAINBOW CRESCENT COLORS!
Sold on 04/2010
SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON COLLECTION. Until last year, this was the 1889 in the collection. It was replaced with a beautiful higher graded coin, but this has by far the wilder colors! We have NEVER EVER seen another 1889 with colors like this!

To start, this coin is in the new Secure Plus holder. We do agree with PCGS that the technical quality is average (we can see a few teenie ticks scattered about). However, we grade the colors MS69 and +++!!! To us, eye appeal DOES count for something!

When mother nature sat down to do this coin up, she wanted it be totally crazy-it has WILD colors on BOTH sides! The obverse has an electric rainbow (like you see on 81S) on 1/4 of the left side. The colors are deep violet/neon green/navy/gold. The centers are a lighter pale green. On the reverse, there is also a thin crescent. Those colors are neon violet/green/gold/blue. They blend into phenomenal baby blue centers. We promise, you will NEVER see another 1889 like this! If one exists, we'd LOVE to buy it!

If this coin were in a major auction, we could see a full blown bidding war that lasts days erupting! This coin is posted at our BEST price!

$1 1883O PCGS MS65 SONNIER COLLECTION
  TWIGGY!
Sold on 04/2010
SONNIER COLLECTION (not on the holder). This coin was easy to name. The pattern of toning looks like a formation of twigs!

Both sides are toned. The obverse is quite dramatic. Iridescent lines of color run from top to bottom and side to side on the obverse. You have shades of sandy brown/golden brown/pale green/blue/pale violet/gold that all intermingle in an unique fashion. We grade these colors MS67.9. The reverse has an electric crescent of blue/violet which opens into lighter purple/pale tangerine. A full booming luster really makes the colors explode. Also, there are no major marks anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. Of course the eye appeal is awesome!
