IMMACULATE!
Sold on
03/2011
We are huge fans of SUPERB GEM Gold Dollars like this. It blows our minds how a coin like this could survive for 121 years in such perfect condition.
Using a strong glass you will NOT find any imperfections. The surfaces are satiny, smooth, and have a very strong luster. There are NO spots or discolorations. The color is a a slight two tone orange gold by the rims and deeper yellowish gold in the centers. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 174, NGC 215, CAC 29.

A GREAT COIN!
Sold on
11/2010
The term: great coin really sums this piece up nicely.
The quality is VERY high end. In fact even using a strong glass, we see no reason why this coin is not a MS66. The surfaces are super clean, satiny, and have terrific smoothness. There are NO spots or stains. The luster is strong and shows off the beautiful deeper gold color. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have bold strikes. The eye appeal is great!
PCGS 453, NGC 302, CAC 40.

This is a HIGH END GEM!
Both sides are crisp, clean, and smooth. A strong luster highlights beautiful deep yellow gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic!
Only 7600 were ever minted. Regular pops: PCGS 82, NGC 84, CAC 2. The last CAC coin to sell in major auction brought $5,175.00 08/2010 Heritage. We very much like the value GEM Gold Dollars have to offer.

VERY HIGH END!
Sold on

Superb color and luster. This coin is just two teenie planchet chips (you need a glass to see them) on the face from MS66!
both sides are awash with an intense luster. You'll see some light die clashing, otherwise the surfaces are super clean and are satiny. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 6, NGC 4, CAC 2. PCGS has possibly graded 7 coins higher-still not a lot of these to go around in GEM! This date and grade are terribly UNDERvalued.

COMPLETE ORIGINALITY!
Sold on
06/2011
We are pleased to offer this amazing superior GEM from our "Deal of the Decade" collection (not on the holder). It is above and beyond most Gold Dollar Proofs you will be offered!
Most important, this coin is completely ORIGINAL and has NOT been dipped. You can see a light layer of toning when using a glass. Also, there is no question the coin has never been messed with. The mirrors still exhibit extreme clarity, flash, cleanliness, and depth. Both sides are a rich even gold color. There are NO spots-but there is a hint of copper toning in the right obverse field. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and are clearly visible without a glass. of course they are covered by thick bright gold frost. The eye appeal is awesome!
PCGS 1, NGC 5, CAC 2. There are NONE finer by PCGS or NGC (even in Dcameo). Of course this coin has NEVER sold at auction. Collectors Universe values it at $29,500.00. Even if you offered $50,000.00, your not going to buy another PCGS/CAC stickered coin!

No spots or discolorations are visible. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and have thick gold frost. The eye appeal is huge!
PCGS 8, NGC 10, CAC 3. In the Heritage FUN Sale an NGC PR65 Cameo sold for $10,350.00. Opportunity knocks loud here!

FULLY PROOFLIKE!
Sold on
05/2011
At first glance, this coin is dead ringer for a proof. Only after careful examination do you confirm it is a really neat MS piece!
Superior deep, crystal clear, and remarkably clean mirrors highlight surfaces that have powerful luster. There are one or two incredibly teenie toning spots scattered around, otherwise this coin has NO spots/stains and is a gorgeous deeper yellow gold color. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have thick yellow gold frost. The eye appeal is stunning!
Only 3500 were ever minted. PCGS 8, NGC 1, CAC 2. We do not believe the pop in MS67 is 8. We think the real pop is more like 4-5 pieces if even. The last one of these to sell in a major auction brought $14,950.00 08/2010 Heritage. Prior to that, one sold for $18,400.00 in 2006. Opportunity definitely knocks loud here!

ULTRA HIGH END AND AWESOME LOOKING!
Sold on
06/2011
If you are a price buyer-forget about this wild SUPERB GEM! We paid far more than you can imagine for it. There are MS68's that are not as nice as this. We do grade it MS67.9!
Ultra clean and smooth surfaces adorn both sides. The luster is fiery and super intense. A killer color scheme of electric orange/yellow gold is clearly visible from several feet away. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have are fully struck. Your eyes will pop out when they see this coin! WOW!
PCGS 82, NGC 83, CAC 11. PCGS has graded only 3 coins in MS67+. The last MS68 to sell in a major auction brought $12,650.00. Opportunity knocks loud here!

SEMI PROOFLIKE AND GORGEOUS!
Sold on
06/2011
Only 10500 were ever minted. Not many survived in Superb GEM. This coin some how did and is a great example!
Flashy and smooth surfaces glow with a full booming luster and traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. Only with a glass can you detect a little planchet roughness and a line or two. To the naked eye the coin looks perfect. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 3, NGC 1, CAC 2. Hard to believe PCGS has graded 2 coins finer. We think a coin like this offers tremendous value.

A SENSATIONAL JEWEL!
Sold on
07/2011
153 years old and looks as good as the day it was minted! Now this is a classic numismatic rarity at its finest!
Strong and clean mirrors have NO major problems. They are highly reflective. Only under a strong glass can you find a hidden teenie lint mark (mint made) and a small grease dot on the reverse. The color is a natural deeper gold. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and have generous thick frost. The eye appeal is sensational!
ONLY 40 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 1, NGC 2, CAC 1. This coin last appeared at auction in 08/2010 Heritage where it brought $37,375.00. We think that price was way too cheap. Even if you offered $50,000.00 your not going to find another!
