$1 1860 PCGS MS65
  FANTASTIC!
Sold on 06/2011
Not a common date. This is a solid MS65.

The characteristics of this date are similar to that of an 1862. There are numerous die striations visible under a glass. The surfaces do have a few ticks but appear clean overall. A full booming luster shows off light colors of golden brown/tangerine/blue. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The eye appeal is excellent!

PCGS 4, NGC 5, CAC 2. NONE of the PCGS coins have ever sold in auction. Both CU and the CDN have this coin valued at $75,000.00. We agree its worth in that range. We also think the pop is 3 not 4 in MS65. PCGS has 2 graded MS66.

$1 1860O PCGS MS65+
  THE FINEST GRADED BY PCGS!
Sold on 03/2011
Here is a VERY rare opportunity to own a coin FINER than the one that is in our FINEST EVER set! This coin is more than worthy of its FINEST graded at PCGS designation!

We all know how 60O's come-baggy. Some how this coin was spared of most of the hits and is one of the cleanest 60O's you will EVER see. The only reason you see ANY ticks on this coin-the surfaces have bold semi-prooflike mirrors. A full booming luster also makes the surfaces really stand out. This is a natural off white coin that has never been dipped or messed with. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is spectacular-especially for a 60O!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1 (there may be 4 NGC coins graded higher).

Legend Numismatics is proud to own and offer this coin at what we know to be a great price. We highly doubt you will ever get the chance to buy a similar coin. PCGS has had 25+ years of operations proving these just do not exist finer. If you buy the best, then this is your coin to own!

$1 1849 PCGS MS65
  OUTRAGEOUS QUALITY!
Sold on 06/2011
Clearly, this piece is the second FINEST KNOWN for the date. The FINEST is the PCGS MS67 that is in our FINEST EVER MS Set. Hard to believe this GEM we are offering here has survived 162 years in such pristine condition!

To start, this coin looks more like an 1870, then 1849. Sleek and shimmering surfaces have a trace of semi-prooflike mirrors. An intense booming luster also helps show off the near flawless surfaces. A heart pounding mix of light golden brown /champagne color mixes with some blue by the rims. Miss Liberty and the details are remarkably struck and boldly stand out. We could make a strong argument that this coin should be an MS65+. The eye appeal is awesome!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. The ONLY time this piece was in auction, was back in 2003 where it sold for $41,400.00. The CDN shows a WHOLESALE BID of $85,000.00 (they are getting better). Being the ONLY available GEM, its sure worth multiples more today!

Legend Numismatics is proud to own and offer this prized specimen.

  AN AMAZING GEM!
Sold on 06/2011
Another amazing GEM from our #2 all time finest MS Seated Dollar set. We did not post it due to the fact we had trouble imaging it. As you can see, the coin is high end and looks tremendous!

You can't ask for a more perfect MS65. Both sides have smooth and satiny surfaces. There are just a few VERY teenie scattered ticks-nothing big that the naked eye would stick on. The luster is surprisingly strong. it enlivens totally ORIGINAL colors of pale blue/pale purple/golden brown/champagne that swirl all over. There is one tiny toning dot hidden on the reverse in the eagles wing. Miss Liberty and the details are heavily frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal will make your jaw drop!

PCGS 4, NGC 4, CAC 5. PCGS has graded only 2 coins finer-the FINEST is the MS66 in our #1 all time greatest set. The last one to sell in a major auction brought $63,250.00 08/2010 Heritage. This is not an auction, and we have priced this coin at a really great deal! When these GEMs are gone, good luck find any in the future-MS Seated Dollars in 65 and higher are incredibly rare.

$1 1872 PCGS PR65 DCAMEO
THE ULTIMATE BLACK AND WHITE MONSTER!
Sold on 04/2011
To start, the quality is ULTRA HIGH END. PCGS definitely should have designated this coin a + at the very least (which is why we do not understand how they grade anymore). If you seek a true B+M ULTRA, then you MUST see this coin in person!

We can hold this coin all day and just stare are our full reflection in the miles deep, crystal clear, clean, and powerfully reflective mirrors. There is not one even minute hint of haze or toning (there are a few pinpoint toning dots). The mirrors look like fresh ice. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have awesome neon like snowy white frost. Your eye balls will pop out when they see this total MONSTER!

PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 1 (this is the ONLY DC beaned by CAC in ANY grade). There are NO auction records. The closest thing we can come up with is an 1870 NON CAC that sold for $23,000.00 in 07/2008 Heritage. We strongly believe if this coin were in a major auction it would bring a run away price. Real quality and eye appeal like this never come cheap!

The image does NOT due the coin justice.

  PRETTY ORIGINAL TONING!
Sold on 05/2011
We can easily tell this coin has been lovingly saved since it was minted 146 years ago. It just oozes with total ORIGINALITY!

Glittering deep, crystal clear (real glassy looking), clean, and highly reflective mirrors command your attention all over. Even using a strong glass, there are NO problems to be found. A moderate mix of ORIGINAL olive/blue/gold/golden brown colors evenly cover both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic!

ONLY 500 were ever minted. PCGS 27, NGC 26, CAC 2. These are NOT as common as you might think. The last one to sell in major auction brought $13,800.00 in 1/07 Stacks-which is now 4 years ago! Opportunity knocks loud here!

  ICE LIKE MIRRORS!
Sold on 07/2011
WOW! Love it when these big coins have slick ICE like mirrors as this coin does!

Nothing worse than a scattered light line or two can be detected with a strong glass. The mirrors are exactly was described: ICY! They have bold reflectivity, stunning clarity, and are clean overall. They look like a freshly formed sheet of ice. A beautiful mix of gold/golden brown/pale violet covers both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted a creamy white. They are sharply struck too. The eye appeal is great!

Only 625 were ever minted. PCGS 15, NGC 18, CAC 3. This coin wil fit nicely into any choice or GEM Collection.

  AMAZING!
Sold on 07/2011
Absolutely a real 63.9. This coin is totally heart pounding!

Both sides have incredible ultra clear, deep, and highly reflective mirrors that look like freshly formed sheet of ice. Only with a glass can you see some light lines. PHENOMENAL colors of royal blue/purple/pale tangerine/gold evenly circle both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and have gorgeous thick frost. We can NOT over describe this coin qualities. The eye appeal is tremendous!

Only 50 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 1/1, NGC 0/0, CAC 1. PCGS has only graded one PR64 higher. NGC has 5 coins higher. This is one rare coin! There is NO auction record for ANY 63+. The last time a regular 64 NON CAC NON + sold was back in 2004. The current Collectors Universe price guide values this at $14,000.00. We can not stress enough what a great opportunity this is for anyone who loves PR Seated Dollars.

  GORGEOUS!
Sold on 09/2011
Only some light and INVISIBLE lines from being a full PR65 Cameo!

We love these when they have killer mirrors like this. Both sides have fully deep, crystal clear, and powerfully reflective mirrors. You need a glass to see any lines. A mellow mix of pale navy/purplish colors cover the peripheries and open into whitish centers. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have thick frost. The eye appeal is far more than just pleasing!

PCGS 8, NGC 6, CAC 8. We did not buy this coin from any auction. The CU value on it is $8,500.00. Opportunity knocks loud here!

$1 1865 PCGS PR65 CHILDS
JUST LIKE IT LEFT THE MINT!
Sold on 07/2011
From the famous Childs Collection that was auctioned back in 1999 by B+M. The majority of this collection was hand selected from the Mint and had remained in the Childs family until they were auctioned. This same collection yielded the $1 1804 PCGS PR68-the all time finest. The quality of the coins from that collection is supreme! You can tell this coin had superb care from the Childs family from the day they picked out of the Mint!

Fabulous! The ONLY thing that could be keeping the coin from a higher grade-PCGS does not like a little deeper and slightly mottled toning. Otherwise, this GEM is all there are then some. Technically, this coin does look PR66. Super glassy mirrors are deep, crystal clear, have amazing cleanliness, and are highly reflective. Both sides have slightly motted toning. The obverse is more of a blue/navy/violet/tangerine mix while the obverse is more golden brown/pale olive mix. The colors ARE pretty and are NOT dull or dark. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have pinpoint sharp strikes and thick frost. The eye appeal is tremendous (the image will NOT due this coin justice)!

Only 500 were ever minted. PCGS 26, NGC 26, CAC 3. The last CAC coin to sell in major auction brought $13,800.00 03/2011 heritage. It certainly was NOT equal to this GEM and did NOT have its amazing pedigree!
