$1 1866 NGC PR-66 ELIASBERG
  OUTSTANDING!
Sold on 04/2008
BUCKEYE COLLECTION. Unbelievable quality, eye appeal, and pedigree! This piece is from the famous Louis Eliasberg Collection-the ONLY COMPLETE set if US coins ever to be assembled. It has a pedigree that dates back to the Clapp Collection (most of which was plucked from the Mint).

This is a sparkling SUPERB GEM. Bold glassy mirrors are clear, clean, and remarkably reflective. As true to many of the Eliasberg coins, this coin is covered by a light mix of gorgeous champagne/gold colors with some highlights of blue on the rims. Miss Liberty and the details have full strikes and heavy frost (we question why this coin is not a cameo). We do rank this coin as being in the top 5% for the grade-we can't imagine it ever in a PR65 holder!

ONLY 725 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 2, NGC 3. At the CSNS Sale a PCGS PR Cameo sold at auction for $20,700.00! We are pleased to be able to offer this magnificent GEM.

$1 1856 PCGS MS62
  SUPER HIGH END!
Sold on 05/2008
Having built the all time finest ever MS Seated Dollar Collection, we do know what each date comes like. not only are 1856's undervalued, they hardly ever come nice. That fully explains why the finest graded is only an MS64-and there are only 2.

We unhesitatingly grade this coin an MS62.9! PCGS probably got spooked by the slightly irregular toning and they haven't seen enough of these to know how to accurately grade them. We make no guarantees this coin will ever MS63, but some one sure has to tell us why it is not. The surfaces are extremely clean and do emit a decent luster. There simply are NO major detractions anywhere. The toning is a deeper pewter and is slightly mottled. it is totally original and is NOT dark or drab. Most important, Miss Liberty's head is FULLY struck and all of the details are sharp. If you are picky and are building and extremely choice set, this coin IS the one for you! good luck on finding another. PCGS 9, NGC 4. PCGS has graded 12 coins higher (of which we think about 3 are duplicated).

As far as pricing: there are NO accurate prices for ANY MS Seated Dollars. They are too rare and the price guides can't track any trades. We would gladly pay at least $15,000.00 sightUNSEEN for any PCGS MS63 that is stickered. You can offer us a 64 (which is impossible since both are placed) and we would happily pay $22,000.00 sightUNSEEN (MUST BE PCGS and CAC stickered).

  SUPER HIGH END!
Sold on 05/2008
Forget the pops, forget the price sheets, this date in ANY CHOICE grade is SUPER RARE! We are pleased to have purchased an example that is ULTRA HIGH END.

This date is worldly famous for not coming nice. The finest graded is the lone MS65 in our Finest EVER MS Legend Collection. One GEM after 20+years says alot about how these do NOT come! Regardless, this piece is remarkably clean and DOES have some decent luster. We definitely have seen MS64's with more ticks. The colors are an original blend of reddish gold/tangerine/golden brown and look beautiful. They cover parts of the coin and are not dark. Miss Liberty and the details are extraordinarily sharply struck. Even one or two of the 63's we've seen don't look as good.

PCGS 14, NGC 3. We do think there are dupes in the PCGS pop. PCGS has graded only 8 coins finer (there is just one MS64 and one MS65). Legend will gladly pay $15,000.00 sightUNSEEN for ANY PCGS CAC stickered MS63. Any for sale???

  LOOKS LIKE A MS63!
Sold on 09/2008
We paid very strong for this coin because we don't just like it-we LOVE it! It is definitely closer to MS63 than MS61.

Both sides shimmer with strong semi-prooflike mirrors. An even pewter/golden brown/soft lavender color blends together across all of the surfaces. There are few ticks or abrasions (typically, this date is loaded with cuts in the lower grades). Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally clean and have strong strikes. Throw away the current published prices on ALL MS Seated Dollars we'd gladly pay $6,500.00 or more for any PCGS stcikered MS63 piece. PCSG 12, NGC 19.

  A 64+++!
Sold on 06/2008
Ok, what are we missing here? PCGS must have had a bad day when this coin came through for grading. It does have an PR65 look. The only potential issue we can see are a few wispy super light lines that are well hidden in the right field. Otherwise, the mirrors are glassy, clear, clean, and have strong reflectivity. Both sides are evenly covered by a moderate mix of blue/golden brown/russet/pale olive color mix. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck have light frost. The eye appeal is wonderful! This is NOT a dull or drab coin.

PCGS 49, NGC 45.

  SUPER HIGH END!
Sold on 08/2008
We're glad grading is tight again. in the old days, this coin was a "lock" PR65. Today, its a beautiful VERY high end PR64.

There are NO visible imperfections. Both sides show off icy clean, crystal clear, and strongly reflective mirrors. The obverse has a wonderful mix of olive/forest green/reddish gold/purple colors. On the reverse there is more of a russet/reddish gold color. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do boldly stand out. The eye appeal will please the pickest buyer.

Not just another Civil War date. ONLY 550 were minted. PCGS 23, NGC 49. NO PCGS pieces have been auctioned apparently since 2004. The last PCGS PR65 sold for $17,250.00 in 2006 (an NGC Sold for $14,375.00). Be glad this coin is for sale NOT in a major auction!

  VERY HIGH END!
Sold on 07/2008
We rate this near miss GEM an MS64.8! Just few hidden ticks on the arm from full GEM. Do not be fooled, its impossible to find really nice examples of this date.

Even when using a strong glass it is hard to find fault with this coin. The surfaces are exceptionally clean, smooth, and even have traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. A surprisingly strong luster highlights a beautiful and totally original mix of pewter/pale navy/pearl gray colors. Miss Liberty and every detail are pinpoint sharp in strike and do boldly stand out. The eye appeal is nothing less than amazing!

Do not be fooled by the slightly higher pops. The price we are asking for this coin is more than reasonable (especially when considering the quality and eye appeal). ANY Seated Dollar in full GEM is rare. We will pay sightUNSEEN $65,000.00 for any PCGS MS65 ONLY CAC'd 1860. NON CAC PCGS (only) we'll pay $50,000.00. Have any for sale?

PCGS 24, NGC 16. PCGS has graded 4 in MS65 and 2 in MS66. NGC has one MS67.

  ORIGINAL AND VERY CHOICE!
Sold on 01/2009
We are pleased to have purchased this really nice and high end ORIGINAL PR Seated Dollar.

Most important, both sides display fully reflective, clear, and clean mirrors. Hard to tell exactly why this is just a PR64, but you can detect a stray line or two under a powerful glass. The colors are a pale navy/olive/pewter which are NOT dull or drab. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have terrific strikes. The eye appeal is great!

Of the 1,330 pieces minted, it has been estimated LESS then 500 still exist. Most were destroyed by the Mint due to poor sales. PCGS 43, NGC 40. The last one to sell in a major auction auction brought $6,727.00 09/07 Goldberg. In PR 65, These are worth at least $14,000.00. Opportunity knocks loud here!

  VERY CHOICE!
Sold on 12/2008
Definitely not your run of the mill Seated Dollar.

We rank this piece in the top 5% for the grade. Both sides have light striations (Mint made) and lines visible only under a glass. Chatter is held to a minimum. An intense luster is illuminated by light semi-prooflike mirrors. This piece is frosty white. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and have thick white frost. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 11, NGC 21. PCGS has only graded 6 coins higher.

  SUEPRB IN EVERY RESPECT!
Sold on 10/2008
This is a tremendous, fresh and totally GEM coin! The quality is VERY high end.

it is refreshing to acquire a coin that is not messed with or chemically enhanced with color. Both sides have strong glassy mirrors that are clear, clean, and have strong reflectivity. The obverse displays a rich (and NOT dull) mix of golden brown/blue/violet. The reverse is more of an electric blue/violet coloration. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful and sure beats the PR65 Cameo that is currently on the market!

Do NOT be fooled by the populations, ANY GEM No Motto Seated Dollar Proof is rare. PCGS 28, NGC 27. Only 500 were ever minted.
