  ICE LIKE MIRRORS!
Sold on 07/2011
WOW! Love it when these big coins have slick ICE like mirrors as this coin does!

Nothing worse than a scattered light line or two can be detected with a strong glass. The mirrors are exactly was described: ICY! They have bold reflectivity, stunning clarity, and are clean overall. They look like a freshly formed sheet of ice. A beautiful mix of gold/golden brown/pale violet covers both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted a creamy white. They are sharply struck too. The eye appeal is great!

Only 625 were ever minted. PCGS 15, NGC 18, CAC 3. This coin wil fit nicely into any choice or GEM Collection.

  AMAZING!
Sold on 07/2011
Absolutely a real 63.9. This coin is totally heart pounding!

Both sides have incredible ultra clear, deep, and highly reflective mirrors that look like freshly formed sheet of ice. Only with a glass can you see some light lines. PHENOMENAL colors of royal blue/purple/pale tangerine/gold evenly circle both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and have gorgeous thick frost. We can NOT over describe this coin qualities. The eye appeal is tremendous!

Only 50 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 1/1, NGC 0/0, CAC 1. PCGS has only graded one PR64 higher. NGC has 5 coins higher. This is one rare coin! There is NO auction record for ANY 63+. The last time a regular 64 NON CAC NON + sold was back in 2004. The current Collectors Universe price guide values this at $14,000.00. We can not stress enough what a great opportunity this is for anyone who loves PR Seated Dollars.

The serial # is 20438966

  GORGEOUS!
Sold on 09/2011
Only some light and INVISIBLE lines from being a full PR65 Cameo!

We love these when they have killer mirrors like this. Both sides have fully deep, crystal clear, and powerfully reflective mirrors. You need a glass to see any lines. A mellow mix of pale navy/purplish colors cover the peripheries and open into whitish centers. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have thick frost. The eye appeal is far more than just pleasing!

PCGS 8, NGC 6, CAC 8. We did not buy this coin from any auction. The CU value on it is $8,500.00. Opportunity knocks loud here!

$1 1865 PCGS PR65 CHILDS
JUST LIKE IT LEFT THE MINT!
Sold on 07/2011
From the famous Childs Collection that was auctioned back in 1999 by B+M. The majority of this collection was hand selected from the Mint and had remained in the Childs family until they were auctioned. This same collection yielded the $1 1804 PCGS PR68-the all time finest. The quality of the coins from that collection is supreme! You can tell this coin had superb care from the Childs family from the day they picked out of the Mint!

Fabulous! The ONLY thing that could be keeping the coin from a higher grade-PCGS does not like a little deeper and slightly mottled toning. Otherwise, this GEM is all there are then some. Technically, this coin does look PR66. Super glassy mirrors are deep, crystal clear, have amazing cleanliness, and are highly reflective. Both sides have slightly motted toning. The obverse is more of a blue/navy/violet/tangerine mix while the obverse is more golden brown/pale olive mix. The colors ARE pretty and are NOT dull or dark. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have pinpoint sharp strikes and thick frost. The eye appeal is tremendous (the image will NOT due this coin justice)!

Only 500 were ever minted. PCGS 26, NGC 26, CAC 3. The last CAC coin to sell in major auction brought $13,800.00 03/2011 heritage. It certainly was NOT equal to this GEM and did NOT have its amazing pedigree!

  A GEM AU!
Sold on 08/2011
A GEM AU Bust Dollar is a piece that is ORIGINAL and has NO problems of any significance. This coin is a definitely that!

Totally ORIGINAL "skin" covers both sides. Some moderate deep pewter/gray covers both sides with a touch of rose colors on the reverse. The surfaces are extremely clean and smooth. Some light luster can be seen. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and do not have discolorations where worn (the wear is light and even). The eye appeal is exceptional!

PCGS 6, NGC 2, CAC 3. PCGS has ONLY graded 3 coins higher! We can NOT stress enough how exceedingly rare this date is in ALL grades and Types. The last one of these to sell (a NON CAC PCGS piece) brought $40,250.00 08/06 Heritage-that's FIVE years ago!

This is a beautiful specimen and will make a wonderful addition to ANY GEM AU Bust Dollar Collection!

For a sneak peak, go to PCGS cert verification: 25566404 (the image dies not do this coin justice).

  AMAZING!
Sold on 01/2012
Having assembled the all time finest ever MS Seated Dollar set, we know how most of the dates do NOT come-nice! This date is impossible to find not banged up or with eye appeal. Of course, this magical GEM has both!

Shimmering surfaces are exceptionally clean. Even with a glass, you will find very little in the way of hits. The luster is strong and the coin does have semi-prooflike tendencies. A wonderful dusky and NOT dull mix of pale lavender/blue/gold colors swirl mostly around the peripheries and open into creamy off white centers. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is VERY nice!

PCGS 4, NGC 5, CAC 1. PCGS has 2 coins in MS66. None have sold in auction. The extreme rarity of this date (or ANY STD) in GEM can NOT be overstated. Once this coin is sold, the chances of another coming along will take years.

  INTENSELY LUSTEROUS!
Sold on 02/2012
We do not buy many Bust Dollars because we can't find nice ones. When we do buy them, we assure you, they are either totally superior or are borderline the next grade up. This SUPERB GEM AU coin is both!

From the recent Hesselgesser Sale (we did not like most of the coins in it). It is one of the few that did CAC. We were blown away by the coins intense booming luster. Also its unquestionable originality. Everything else about the coin is great too! The surfaces are clean and are smooth. Any wear is light and you need a glass to see it. There are NO discolorations. The color of the coin is a mixture of lavender/pewter/pale tangerine and is quite lively and lovely. Miss Liberty and the details are actually frosty and have really great strikes. In fact, if it were just a little more struck up, it could be a MS61. Its still a really great looking Bust Dollar!

PCGS 8, NGC 20, CAC 1 (the only other CAC'd AU58 for any 1798 variety is a wide date). We paid $19,265.00 out of the Hesselgesser Sale. Prior to that, a NON CAC coin sold for $17,825.00 05/11 Goldberg. We can only find possibly 5-6 coins finer. CAC has really helped the GEM AU Bust Dollar market separate the dreck. Ture GEM material does indeed trade for strong premiums. Opportunity knocks loud for any serious Bust Dollar enthusiast!

For a sneak peek, go to PCGS cert verification: 16207460 (the coin is much nicer than the image)

  A TERRIFC GEM AU!
Sold on 09/2011
This is a B-2, BB-143. We ONLY buy Early Bust Dollars when they are really what w call GEM AU. To be that, they MUST be ORIGINAL, have some luster, and not have ugly discolored wear. This coin is definitely a SUPERB GEM!

We can not over describe this coins great attributes. It has smooth and super clean surfaces. The planchet looks great. There is plenty of luster around the devices. both sides are a totally ORIGINAL pewter/deep silver color. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and show no real visible wear. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 8, NGC 3, CAC 1. Not as common to find as you might think. The last two NON CAC PCGS specimens sold for: $10,925.00 08/201 Heritage and $12,075.00 05/2009 Goldberg. We can not stress how rare true GEM AU Bust Dollars have become. Dreck is sall over the place, GEM's are not!

  A GEM AU!
Sold on 11/2011
Love the quality and originality of this coin. We did sell another AU58 last week.

If your into flashy rainbow like coins, this piece is NOT for you. The originality look is from the moderate layer of "old time" toning that covers both sides. The surfaces are clearly visible and are both clean and have a surprising luster. Even more impressive, Miss Liberty and the details are very well struck. You need a strong glass to see any wear. There are no discolorations on the high points. The overall eye appeal is great!

PCGS 8, NGC 20, CAC 1. There is an auction record for a NON CAC piece that sold in 05/11 Goldberg for $17,825.00. Classic rarities like this are not surfacing much anymore. And as you can see, CAC is really strict about how it grades them as well. Opportunity knocks louder than ever if you collect GEM AU Bust Dollars!

  VERY HIGH END QUALITY!
Sold on 10/2011
A very impressive HIGH END and gorgeous early Bust Dollar! It took us all of a second to know we had to buy it (don't worry, we did inspect it carefully).

Fabulous seek and super clean surfaces reveal ZERO impairments anywhere. A full booming luster (full for a 1799 coin) radiates powerfully from both sides. A beautiful moderate mix of gold/pale purple/blue colors all swirl over the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are remarkably struck. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 22, NGC 17, CAC 4. The last PCGS MS62 CAC coin to sell in a major auction brought $46,000.00 03/11 Stacks. We have not seen any others we have liked in the last few years. Classic coins like this if PROPERLY graded and NOT messed with, are VERY rare. Do NOT worry about the pop reports, coins like this stand out on their own!
