Half Dollars:Walking Liberty
Item - 7845
50C 1941 PCGS PR66
  PRETTY TISSUE PAPER TONING!
Sold on 04/2012
We prefer these either blazing white or colored like this-no in between or hazed up coins for us!

First, the mirrors are deep, clear, clean, and have powerful reflectivity. No question this coin developed pretty "tissue" paper toning from sitting in a box too long. There are totally ORIGINAL shades of gold/golden brown/violet/pale blue scattered all over. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted a light silvery white and have full strikes. The eye appeal is VERY pretty!

PCGS 919, NGC 916, CAC 100.

  BOLDLY LUSTROUS!
Sold on 04/2012
Well worthy of being designated an MS67, this coin also looks great!

Super smooth and clean surfaces are illuminated by a powerful luster. There is a frost break in the right field, but no marks to focus on. The color is a totally ORIGINAL creamy white. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and sharply struck. You do not need a glass to see the full skirt lines. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 218, NGC 310, CAC 60. We shake our heads at how cheap these have become!

50C 1890 PCGS PR67+ CAMEO
  A WILDLY COLROED GEM!
Sold on 07/2012
Mega WOW WOW to this SUPERB GEM! This coin is not only perfect, but it has awesome colors!

Outrageous ultra deep, crystal clear, and remarkably clean mirrors cover the entire coin. The mirrors have incredible reflectivity and can be seen from far away. Both sides are covered by a moderate mix of totally ORIGINAL navy/olive/golden brown/russet colors that slightly open towards the centers. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and are thickly frosted a creamy white. The eye appeal is out of this world-pure eye candy!

ONLY 590 were ever minted. PCGS 2, (one higher), NGC 0, CAC 2. The other PR67+ CA sold for $20,125.00 1/12 Heritage and is now in a major collection (an FYI: this coin has more color).

This is a perfect coin for any world class collection or portfolio.

  THICK VIBRANT TONING!
Sold on 05/2012
This is a very hard coin to describe and image. It has gorgeous "thick" toning-but it is NOT dark. The toning is an ORIGINAL moderate to deeper pewter/pale gold/dove gray color. A fully booming luster shows off the colors and the fact there are ZERO imperfections of ANY size, ANY where. The right field is fantastic! Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is really pretty!

PCGS 455, NGC 549, CAC 150. We think these have fallen to ridiculous cheap levels.

  AMAZING!
Sold on 04/2012
Ever get bored and start day dreaming at an auction? We did and we woke owning this coin (when it was in another holder) for way too much money. Yeah, we loved the coin, but not what we paid. Guess the dream part about Bill Gates telling us to build him a the greatest collection ever isn't going to happen. Reality is that even though the coin crossed, we're going to LOSE money on it!

Still this is one heck or an MS67. Absolutely stunning and virtually PERFECT surfaces beam with a full booming luster. The color is a snowy white. Miss Liberty and the details are so fully struck you do not need a glass to see the full skirt or thumb details (which are also frosted). The eye appeal is AMAZING too!

PCGS 115, NGC 132, CAC 20. Our less is your incredible gain!

  A GLOWING GEM!
Sold on 05/2012
This is another glowing silvery almost fully black and white GEM! The mirrors are deep, clear, clean, and have powerful reflectivity. They do look "watery". Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and do have generous frost. The eye appeal is beautiful!

A SILVERY BLACK AND WHITE GEM!
Sold on 05/2012
We can NOT put this beast down! If the sun has frost, it would easily be a $10,000.00 coin!

Both sides have mirrors that are miles deep and have perfect clarity! You can perform surgery with them. There are NO visible problems. When tilted, the mirrors do appear black. Miss Liberty and the details are all fully struck and have bold silvery frost. The eye appeal is will blow your eye balls out! This is monster superior to most PR Walkers you will see!

  SUPERIOR SURFACES!
Sold on 06/2012
No question this is a totally ORIGINAL and TRUE MS65!

The surfaces are satiny and are super clean. Even the dreaded right field has NO marks. Both sides are graced by a strong blazing luster. A faint tint of gold mixes with the ORIGINAL creamy white color. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck-for the date. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 40, NGC 21, CAC 5. These are impossible to locate beaned. The last PCGS beaned coin sold in major auction 2 years ago for $11,500.00. Fast forward-none are available!

  AN EXCEPTIONAL EXAMPLE!
Sold on 06/2012
We have seen far worse COMMON dates in higher grades! This coin is really all there and then some!

Shimmering surfaces reveal practically NO problems. Even the dreaded right field is clean and smooth. Both sides are satiny and have a booming luster. The color is white with the slightest trace of gold. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have excellent sharp strikes. You do not need a glass to see the full skirt lines. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 81, NGc 69, CAC 14. A NON CAC piece sold for $5,750.00 in auction in 2011. The last CAC/PCGS graded piece to sell in major auction brought $8,338.00 08/2011. What a great addition this coin will be to any GEM Walker Collection!

50C 1794 PCGS VF25
  A REAL GEM VF25+!
Sold on 05/2012
PCGS definitely showed this coin NO mercy. The difference between a 25 and 30 is so slight anyway.

We label this a GEM VF because it has NO problems and the wear is light and even. It is the kind of coin you would dream up for the grade. The surfaces have a pretty pewter color that mixes with golden brown and pale purple by the obverse peripheries. There are NO discolorations. This is actually a circ coin you can hold in your hands and just endlessly twirl because it is that nice. The eye appeal is SUPERB!

PCGS 37, NGC 25, CAC 4. The last one of these to sell in a major auction brought $24,150.00 in 2012 (not this coin). In fact, the dealer who sold us this actually mourned selling it the entire show. he told us the coin was totally fresh (we could not find any previous images of it). You just do NOT see them like this!

Legend Numismatics is proud to own and offer this magnificent example of one of the first Half Dollars struck.
