Half Dollars:Walking Liberty
Item - 10127
50C 1920 PCGS MS65+
  SUPER HIGH END!
Sold on 08/2014
This is an amazing GEM Walker. It is a real borderline MS66!

Super satiny surfaces are incredibly clean overall. All we could find is a teenie microscopic tick or two-but that took a strong glass and some effort. A strong luster shows off a wonderful mix of totally ORIGINAL golden brown/pewter/silver colors all over. Miss Liberty and the details are above average in strike. The eye appeal is VERY nice!

PCGS 82, NGC 40, CAC 9. PCGS has graded 3 in MS65+. The last one to sell in auction brought $4,700.00 04/2014 Heritage. Keep in mind, the next step up would cost at least $12,000.00-if you can ever find a PCGS CAC piece. Opportunity knocks loud here!

50C 1919D PCGS MS64+
  A BORDERLINE MS65!
Sold on 10/2014
This beautiful 19D was love at first glance! After owning an MS65 and selling the 66 we know what one of these should look like. This coin is SUPER HIGH END and really does border MS65! It WILL fit in to ANY GEM set.

Only a small line and a scattered tick/frost break or two (a tick and a giggle as we like to say) are what keeps this beauty from being a $200,000.00 MS65. The coin does appear clean overall to the naked eye. Unusual for a 19D, this coin has a full booming satiny luster. Even the dreaded right field looks fantastic. Both sides are a bold snowy white. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. You do NOT need a glass to see the skirt lines or the remarkably fullness of the thumb. The eye appeal is tremendous!

PCGS 71 NGC 83, CAC 8. PCGS has graded only 3 MS64. The last one of these to sell in major auction brought $54,875.00 08/2013 Stacks. An inferior piece brought $38,188.00 04/2014 Heritage. There are 10 MS65's by PCGS-but those cost $200,000.00-if you can ever find one. This coin is so close to MS65 too. Be glad we are offering this coin here and not in an auction! Opportunity knocks loud for anyone building a GEM Walker Collection.

50C 1946 REV DOUBLE DIE PCGS MS65
  PROBLEM FREE!
Sold on 08/2014
VERY HIGH END. Its an added bonus that this coin happens to have a doubled die reverse!

Super surfaces are remarkably clean and satiny. The dreaded right field does have a teenie tick-but it is NOT hacked up or is unsightly. A full booming luster shows off blazing white surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is excellent!

PCGS 27, NGC 15, CAC 8. The last one to sell in a major auction brought $3,056.00 12/2013 Heritage. These are not as easy to find as the pops might let you think!

WE HAVE POSTED THIS COIN AT OUR BEST PRICE!

50C 1859S PCGS MS68
THE FINEST NO MOTTO HALF THAT EXISTS!
Sold on 08/2014
Legend Numismatics is proud to own and offer this magnificent No Motto Half Dollar. There is no such thing as a finer piece-for the No Motto series! We have been huge fans of this coin ever since we first saw it years ago. This coin belongs in a world class collection!

Outrageous quality abounds all over. The surfaces are sleek yet have a sexy satiny texture. If you play detective and use a super strong glass only a scattered line or two can be found-do not there are some thin raised die polishing lines (Mint made). A nearly blinding FULL booming luster can be seen from a block away! Both sides are a frosty white with a hint of gold toning near the date. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have thick frost. The eye appeal is spectacular!

PCGS 1, NGC 1, CAC 1. We think anything below $100,000.00 for a coin like this is a great value. The next highest graded 1859S half is a PCGS MS66 (and there is only ONE MS65). Its not like this is a commoner date in GEM. One thing is for sure, PCGS has been operating for OVER 25 years, its a powerful statement that THIS coin is the ONLY PCGS MS68 for the series after all that time! Plus, you know CAC isn't going to bean it if the piece was not worthy!

50C 1901 PCGS PR68 CAMEO EX CHILDS
THE FINEST CAMEOED 1901 PROOF HALF!
Sold on 07/2014
You can't beat the original pedigree of this coin: Childs. He went to the Mint and personally handpicked every coin. Childs also had included the world famous and finest known $1 1804 PCGS PR68. That was one MONSTER collection!

The quality and eye appeal of this piece is out of this world!

Both sides display incredible mirrors. They are super deep, have incredible clarity, are unbelievable flawless, and are intensely reflective. These are NOT shallow or washed out mirrors. A delicate hint of pale gold really is more around the peripheries then the centers. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and are covered by thick white frost. The eye appeal is jaw dropping incredible!

ONLY 813 were ever minted. PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. We can only imagine what it might sell for if offered in any major auction. If you are a PR Barber Collector this is a special piece you should not miss! Even if you had all PR69's (which do not exist) this coin would still be a highlight! Once this coin is sold, we doubt you will ever see anything remotely similar-PCGS has been operating for 25+ years and this is the lone PR68 CA.

(the coin looks more toned in the image then reality).

50C 1860 PCGS PR64
  VERY HIGH END!
Sold on 08/2014
What a lovely and VERY high end coin!

Shimmering mirrors are deep, have crystal clear clarity, are clean, and have bold reflectivity. Only with a strong glass can you find some faint light lines. Both sides are evenly covered by an original mix of blue/pale purple/light violet colors. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have extra sharp strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 37, NGC 16, CAC 4. The last example to sell in auction was a PCGS NON CAC piece. It brought $3,055.00 03/2014 Heritage. Do not be fooled by the pops, these do NOT appear with any great frequency!

50C 1943S PCGS MS66+
  VERY HIGH END QUALITY!
Sold on 07/2014
We only buy the + coins when they really are bordering the next step up. This coin is VERY high end!

Superb surfaces are semi satiny and have a smooth look. They are also super clean-even the dreaded right field has only a super teeny frost break-no hits. Both sides are a beautiful original creamy white. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 632, NGC 287, CAC 168. PCGS has graded only 43 in MS66+. The last one to sell in auction brought $1,763.00 04/2014 Heritage.

50C 1898 PCGS PR68 CAMEO
  OUTRAGEOUS QUALITY!
Sold on 07/2014
There are more minute lines on the holder then the coin! We could not dream of a more perfect PR Barber Half!

The surfaces have mirrors that are deep, have crystal clear clarity, are not just clean but are PERFECT, and have bold reflectivity. The mirrors look like a freshly formed sheet of ice. A light mix of totally ORIGINAL gold/pale purple swirls in the centers and opens to deeper color by the rims. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and thick creamy white frost. There is no question this coin has NEVER been messed with. The eye appeal is phenomenal!

ONLY 735 were ever minted. PCGS 2, NGC 4, CAC 2. Prior to this coin selling in auction, none had sold since 2008 when one realized $18,000.00 (and was non CAC). This is NOT a common date at all. Opportunity knocks loud for any one who loves extreme top pop top graded PR Barbers.

50C 1894 PCGS PR67
  A SHIMMERING GEM!
Sold on 07/2014
This is a good 'old fashioned" Proof with beautiful "old fashioned" original colors!

Ice like mirrors leave a strong impression. They are deep, crystal clear, super clean, and offer super reflectivity. A kaleidoscope like mix of totally original moderate shades of blue/olive/pale green/gold/violet/pale navy colors fully cover the coin and swirl around gently. Miss Liberty and the details are actually thickly frosted and have needle sharp strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic!

ONLY 972 were ever minted. PCGS 10, NGC 20, CAC 3. NO PCGS CAC piece has ever sold at auction. In fact the last PCGS piece to sell was back in 2010. That coin brought $8,913.00 Goldberg. PCGS has graded NO PR68's. This coin also has an old green tag! Opportunity knocks loud here for ANY PR Barber lover!

50C 1936 PCGS PR66
  NICELY MIRRORED!
Sold on 07/2014
We love nice looking PR Walkers! This coin certainly fits the bill.

Deep, clean, and highly reflective mirrors beam from all over. For the most part they are clear, but there is ever the slightest hint of frost in the fields (we want to be honest). Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and have thick silver white frost. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 263, NGC 317, CAC 77. The last PCGS CAC piece that sold in auction brought a crazy $7,050.00 06/2014 heritage. The one before it brought $5,581.00 04/2014 Heritage. We're not selling at auction here, so the price is right!
