  VERY CHOICE!
Sold on 11/2014
This is a very nice and pleasing choice coin!

Just a few very teenie contact dings can be seen scattered around. Overall, the surfaces do look clean and smooth. A moderate luster (typical for the date) helps display the pretty and totally original shades of pale olive/rise/gold colors that are spread all over. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 20, NGC 18, CAC 6. The current Collectors Universe Value is $2,450.00. We think that is fair. Keep in mind, this is a choice 169 year old coin! :

  SUPER HIGH END!
Sold on 11/2014
We've studied this coin really hard over and over.We grade it MS66.9+ with a real FULL HEAD!

We've seen lesser and certainly less lively coins in higher holders. The surfaces are immaculate. There are no ticks of any size to be found. A full booming luster shows off the totally original creamy white colors. Most important: the strike. You do not need a glass to see the true FH, or every rivet in the shield. The strike is so full and sharp it has to be on steroids! The eye appeal is nothing less then tremendous!

PCGS 39, NGC 19, CAC 10. The last PCGS CAC regular MS66 piece to sell in auction brought $4,846.00 08/2013 Heritage. No MS66+FH CAC has ever sold at auction. We assure you, this coin is vastly superior to the majority of MS66FH's you will ever see!

  A MULTICOLORED GEM!
Sold on 11/2014
We've NEVER seen a Civil War era MS piece as colorful. What a great coin. How it has managed to stay in such a wonderful state of preservation-is a real question!

Fabulous surfaces are clean and smooth. Nothing hidden anywhere. A surprising luster (especially around the details ) enhances the stunning colors and also reveals traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. The colors are a moderate but vibrant royal blue/forest green/rose/violet/olive/fiery tangerine. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have clear full strikes. The eye appeal is super!

PCGS 6, NGC 6, CAC 3. No PCGS CAC piece has ever sold in auction. Even if you are ridiculous picky, this coin WILL impress you! The quality and eye appeal really are that great.

THE GREATEST 01S ON THE PLANET!
Sold on 03/2015
This monster coin is ex Gardner. Here is what Gene had written about it: "A mesmerizing kaleidoscope of colors covers the surfaces of this coin. More than having just casual eye appeal, this coin commands the eye's attention. I can lose myself in it for long stretches of time. So beautiful it is almost impossible to look away. Great rarity, great strike, great luster, and magnificent colors. This coin has it all."

All we can add is that coin is a complete WOW! It is of the ultimate quality and eye appeal! You can look hard and long and never find ANY imperfections. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have fully struck features.

If you buy the very best, then is the 01S 25C you MUST have!

This great piece brought $258,000.00 in the Gardner sale in June (our customer has since had a change of direction in his collection). The current Collectors Universe value is $275,000.00. Opportunity knocks as loud as humanly possible here!

  THE EPITOME OF PERFECTION!
Sold on 02/2015
This coin is absolutely amazing and is "as struck".

The surfaces are beyond pristine, they are "as struck at the Mint perfect"! Some how this coin has been carefully stored for 100 years. There are no ticks or lines, or nothing. A strong booming luster shows off superb and totally original pewter toning. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have completely full crisp strikes. The eye appeal is excellent!

PCGS 3, NGC 1, CAC 4. This coin is from the Gardner sale where it sold too cheap. We were ready to pay $7,500.00 hammer (thinking that was a bargain). Between the pops only being 3 , this coins remarkable quality, and the fact its 100 years old, we think it should be a $10,000.00 coin. Time will correct this.

  SUPER CLEAN!
Sold on 12/2014
If you love absolute cleanliness, then you WILL love this coin!

Both sides are as clean and satiny as you will find. There are no problems and al you will find with a strong glass is a scattered toning dot or two. A strong luster shows off original creamy white surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have extra sharp strikes. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 76, NGC 51, CAC 17. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $1,782.00 05/2012 heritage. These certainly are not as common as you may think!

  VERY HIGH END!
Sold on 11/2014
Love everything about this coin-its originality, quality, and eye appeal!

We used a strong glass to examine this piece with. There are virtually NO marks or even contact marks that can be seen except under VERY strong magnification (even then there are few). A light luster shows off totally original lavender/deep champagne/pale blue colors that are evenly spread all over. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is excellent!

PCGS 20, NGC 18, CAC 6. Our records show the last PCGS example sold in auction brought $2,232.00 08/2013 Stacks. Do not be fooled by the pops, this is a very scarce coin!

  INCREDIBLE!
Sold on 01/2015
this beauty is so high end, even we resubmitted it for a 67+. As you can see, nada.

The surfaces are immaculate and have a thick satiny texture. A strong luster shows off a wonderful blend of original blue/lime/gold/russet/gold/golden brown "sunset fall" like colors. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have extra sharp strikes. The eye appeal is awesome!

PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 1. This is the coin from the Gardner sale that bought $15,275.00 last June. Our customer has since changed direction. Rarely do second chances occur on great coins like this!

  ULTRA HIGH END!
Sold on 03/2015
WOW! Take a good hard look at this magnificent GEM. We doubt you will see many more ever offered-and if so, we doubt they will be as top notch as this coin!

Awesome surfaces are remarkably clean and smooth. Even using a strong glass there are no problems of any size any where to be found. A strong luster beams from all over. Superb original colors of gold/pale purple/pale violet/creamy white are splashed around. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have thick frost. The eye appeal is fabulous!

PCGS 3, NGC 5, CAC 2. Prior to this coin selling in the Gardner Sale in June, no other 1838 25C in GEM have sold since 2004! PCGS has graded 3 in MS66-but NONE have ever sold at auction. We can't stress enough the extreme rarity of this date in MS65 and higher.

  A TRUE SUPERB GEM!
Sold on 12/2014
Great value for an awesome coin!

Deep and glittering mirrors reveal NO flaws. They are also super clear and have strong reflectivity. A wonderful mix of totally original olive/blue/pale purple colors frame the peripheries and open into silvery centers on the obverse. The reverse has totally original purple/gold colors. Miss Liberty and every detail is pinpoint sharp and has delicate frost. The eye appeal is pretty awesome!

ONLY 727 were minted. PCGS 11, NGC 22, CAC 9. The last one to sell in a major auction brought $4,406.00 08/2014 Heritage. We can't stress enough how bullish we are on ALL PROOF BARBERS IN ALL SERIES PR66-68. You just do not see many nice pieces offered.
