$20 1926 PCGS MS66
  NICE!
Sold on 10/2009
We all know CAC has very tough standards for ANY Saint it grades. Its always great to be able to buy a NICE MS66-especially if it is the slightly tougher to find 1926!

The highlight of this GEM is the full booming luster. Both sides are clean and have an even deep yellow gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and habve light frost. The eye appeal is sweet! Also, most importnat, thsi coin has NOT been messed with!

PCGS 689, NGC 349, CAC 30. Keep in mind, CAC bid for ANY MS66 is still $3,400-$3,500.00-and they need the coins!

We have posted this coin at our BEST price!

  BLAZING WHITE!
Sold on 12/2009
McLCAREN COLLECTION. This is a real unquestionable MS66!

Rarely will you see an O Mint as clean as this coin. Both sides have a minor frost break or two and that's it. A really strong luster also shows off exceptionally struck features that also have light frost. The eye appeal is exceptional too! Most important, this coin has NOT been messed with.

PCGS 1731, NGC 1643, CAC 80.

Sorry, no image of this coin is available.

  SOLID QUALITY+PRETTY COLORS!
Sold on 12/2009
This is a very pleasing coin. Also, not too often do you see these with any real color like this.

Only a light and scattered small bagmark or two can be detected. Overall, the surfaces appear clean. A strong luster shows off beautiful light to moderate colors of gold/golden brown/pale lilac. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck for a 28S. The eye appeal is excellent!

PCGS 1642, NGC 1142, CAC 46. Keep in mind, the next step up costs $25,000.00+-if you can find a real CAC stickered GEM! 1,695.00

  BEAUTIFUL LIGHT TONING!
Sold on 03/2008
Sensational! Save for one teenie tick on the eagles breast, this coin for the most part is perfect! Smooth, satiny, and lightly semi-prooflike surfaces are all quite lustrous. A gorgeous light layer of blue/violet frames parts of the peripheries and opens into flashy light golden white centers. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have great strikes. Her cheek will please the fussiest "old time" collector with how clean it is. The eye appeal is magnificent!

  AWESOME!
Sold on 11/2008
We look at this piece is total awe! How it has survived in such a remarkable state of preservation for 213 years is unimaginable.

This is NOT an AU58 in an MS63 holder. It is a real and solid MS63. Even picky CAC loved this coin! There is NO rubbing detectable anywhere-even using a high power glass. Both sides have surfaces that are sleek, incredibly clean, and do emit a surprisingly strong luster. A wonderful mix of original deeper golden brown/champagne/lilac colors are visible all over. Miss Liberty and the details are amazingly struck. Do note: there are some adjustment lines on the eagles breast. The eye appeal is fantastic!

Legend Numismatics is proud to own and offer this tremendous Silver Dollar for sale. Its quality and rarity (especially in choice MS) are undisputed. PCGS 2, NGC 2. There have been NO recent examples in any major auction.

  UNBELIEVABLE!
Sold on 04/2008
WOW, WOW, WOW! Only once before (maybe 10 years ago) have we ever seen a Bust Dollar that was similar. The best description of this piece; it is a GEM CAMEOED AU.

Yes, it was dipped a long time ago. NONE of the surfaces has been taken off and the luster certainly has not been impaired. A pale light gold color is starting to reform. The surfaces are remarkably clean. Miss Liberty and the details stand out with practically NO visible wear. They have phenomenal heavy frost though. This coin is far superior to 99.9% of the AU58 Bust Dollars you will see. And of course being all white, thats VERY rare. PCGS 11, NGC 1.

$1 1799 PCGS MS64 EX FLANNAGAN
  ULTRA HIGH END!
Sold on 08/2010
Our goal is to never let this coin out of our grasp. This monster of an MS64 Bust Dollar is one of our all time favorite coins. From the time we first place it with our dear friend Phil Flannagan (back in 1998) until now, this coin has remained one of the VERY best we have EVER seen! We did send it to PCGS for their new program and they did not + it. We have no hesitation to say they were wrong, VERY wrong. Anyway, if you collect Bust Dollars or need one for your Type set, THIS IS the coin you want!

To start, this coin is totally ORIGINAL. Using a strong glass, the worst thing you can detect are a few wispy light scattered lines. There are NO hits or other problems. Certainly nothing is visible to the naked eye. A strong luster shows off the fully ORIGINAL "old time" attractive colors of blue/champagne/pale gold on both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 9, NGC 16, CAC 1. Only PCGS has graded 5 coins higher. In this market we have not seen any great Bust Dollars offered.

  A PLEASING QUALITY COIN!
Sold on 03/2010
We have not handled an AU55 1801 $1 in over 10+ years! In fact, our fav grade (AU58) the last one of those we handled was back in 2005. Its so hard to find decent Bust coins.

This coin has a tremendous luster-which is something 1801's are not famous for. Possibly it was dipped long ago -but has come back super nice (its hard to tell, but we want to be safe). The possible dipping has NOTHING to do with the luster. Dipping is NOT a negative-and many Bust coins have been dipped. Its harsher cleaning or over dipping that becomes problematic. The surfaces have just a few lines and tiny ticks. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and do stand out. This coin DOES have tremendous eye appeal. Take our word on this, CAC is NOT going to sticker a junky Bust Dollar-they LOVE Bust Dollars and are major buyers of them.

PCGS 9, NGC 16, CAC 1. This is a VERY difficult date to find in GEM AU and higher. PCGS has graded only 22 coins higher. Again, this is a really nice 1801!

The last one of these to appear in major public auction sold for $14,950.00 02/09 Goldberg. A so/so coin sold for $12,075.00 Heritage 1/09. In 2008, one sold for $18,400.00 Heritage 10/08. if you have been looking for a really nice 1801, we suggest you check this coin out in person!

  A CHOICE OLD FRIEND!
Sold on 12/2009
Legend is pleased to own again an old friend-the beautiful and VERY choice 1801 $1 PCGS AU58 Ex Flannagan. The last time we owned this coin was almost 15 years ago. We had placed it in our friend Phil Flannagan's Complete Bust Dollar set (sold by B+M in 1999). Now its time to place it in a new home.

Most impressive about this coin is everything it is NOT. It is NOT scrubbed up or messed with (CAC is notoriously strict). Both sides have a neat original color combo of golden brown/russet/purple. You can clearly see the extremely clean surfaces. A surprising amount of original luster remains. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and do standout. The eye appeal is exceptional too!

PCGS 17, NGC 19, CAC 1. According to our records, the last one to sell in major auction brought $25,875.00 10/05 B+M. We bought this coin right and since we are not an auction, we'll sell it to you right.

  AN AMAZING SPECIMEN!
Sold on 04/2009
This is only the second MS 1801 we have ever handled (the other was the Flannagan PCGS MS63, now a MS64). Most important-this coin is a real HIGH END MS62, not an AU58 in an MS62 holder!

Spectacular shimmering surfaces are remarkably clean, semi-prooflike, and have a bold luster. Only under a glass can you detect a few light lines. The colors are totally original and consist or blue/pale purple/golden brown. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. There are NO discolorations or rub on the high points. The reverse is full MS63 quality. You can not beat this coins amazing eye appeal.

The rarity of any MS 1801 Dollar is undisputed. PCGS 4, NGC 4. PCGS has graded only the MS64 and a 65 higher. The last MS62 that was in auction sold for only $39,100.00 in 11/08 Stacks.

Legend Numismatics is pleased to offer this rare and spectacular piece to collectors. It will be a highlight of any collection!
