This wonderful Superb GEM was formerly in a world class MS Lincoln Cent until its recent replacement by a killer MS66RD. We do very much admire this coin. 14D's in our opinion are one of the most UNDER valued of all the rare Lincolns in GEM. Unfortunately, there have been a few that are lesser quality specimens in MS65RD that have sold at auction, thus reducing the values for really nice ones. Hopefully as time goes on, the values will be corrected.
This coin is a totally original GEM MS65RD. The surfaces clearly are virgin and are not repainted or chemically treated. No marks what so ever can be detected. Lincoln and all of the details are amazingly struck and appear boldly.
Keep in mind, the next step up is extremely expensive. While we don't know what this coins replacement cost, we do know one of the 3 graded sold for MORE than $150,000.00. In our opinion, we think MS65's should be $30-$35,000.00. Opportunity kncoks loud for the serious Lincoln Cent collector!
