J-1099 25C 1871 PCGS PR66
  THE FINEST J-1099!
Sold on 04/2010
This is an R-7 (4-12 known). Too bad this design was never adopted, the with stars Seated Lady is truly ornate.

This Pattern is incredible. Both sides have deep, clear, remarkably clean, and boldly reflective mirrors. A moderate and beautiful mix of soft navy/tangerine/pale purple swirl effortlessly on both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have thick toned frost. The eye appeal is sensational!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1.

This coin is fresh to the market and never has been at auction! Opportunity knocks loud here!

  INCREDIBLE!
Sold on 04/2010
Ultra High End! Struck in copper. This coin actually did come out of an NGC PR66BN holder (tag included). Also, it is an R-7 (4-11 minted).

Everything about this GEM is awesome. Perfect surfaces have mirrors that are crystal clear and powerfully reflective. A glossy medium brown/gold/blue/violet color beams from both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. This is NOT a dull or drab coin-it has tons of life! The eye appeal is incredible!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. PCGS has graded one higher. The latest Judd book (10th edition) lists this coin at $27,500.00 in PR65. Legend is pleased to own and offer this great test piece (it is a WITH MOTTO) from the Civil War era.

$1 1887 PCGS MS65 SONNIER COLLECTION
  KILLER COLOR BAG TONING!
Sold on 04/2010
SONNIER COLLECTION (not noted on the holder). The obverse has killer original burlap bag toning.

Looking dead on you can see the toning dots all lined up going almost sides by the face. killer colors of neon pearl green/purple/violet/royal blue/pale gold all swirl together vividly. We grade these colors MS67.1. There is some electric gold that frames on the reverse rims.

The quality is solid for the grade. Only using a strong glass can you see some tiny ticks scattered about. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and appear boldly. The eye appeal is typical Sonnier-awesome!

This coin is listed at our BEST price!

$1 1884O PCGS MS66 SONNIER COLLECTION
  AN EXCEPTIONAL TISSUE PAPERED GEM!
Sold on 04/2010
SONNIER COLLECTION. This is the FINEST of the 3 1884O's we have posted. ALL three were stored int he same Capital holder.

No question this coins quality is solid MS66. Even using a strong glass, marks are held to a minimum. Miss Liberty and the details are very well struck.

We rank the colors MS67. The intensity of the luster really makes the colors stand out. The obverse has neat box like formations of amber/gold/violet/pale lime/baby blue/soft purple colors. This is not a look you find too often.

Both sides are exceptionally clean. Using a strong glass only one teenie fleck could be found. The matte surfaces are well defined and are crisp. A decent luster also shows off the light golden brown/champagne colors. ALL of the details are pinpiont sharp in strike. The eye appeal is VERY pleasing!

These are NOT as common as you would think. ONLY 600 were ever minted. PCGS 66, NGC 65, CAC 3.

  PRETTY PERIPHERIAL RAINBOW COLORS!
Sold on 04/2010
Not a date or grade you see with much color-let alone cool rainbow colors.

The highlight of this GEM is the stunning colors. They drape most of the peripheries on both sides. Swirls of blue/pale violet/navy/gold open into a light tangerine/gold/creamy white centers. The technical quality is solid. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is really stunning! This coin was NOT out of Sunnywood or Sonnier-but it should have been!
