Three Cent Silver

3CS 1863 PCGS PR66 CAMEO
  A GLITTERING WILD COLORED MONSTER!
Sold on 06/2010
Only one teenie INVISIBLE planchet irregularity is what keeps this from bring a $15,000.00+ coin! You need a glass to see it. The colors are beyond wild and the quality is SUPER HIGH END!

Glittering mirrors are deep, clean, and have powerful reflectivity. Only using a strong glass can you see the minor mint caused imperfection on the lower left obverse. Electric colors of green/gold/reddish gold/amber/purple/violet swirl wildly on both sides. Every detail is needle sharp in strike and has thick frost. The eye appeal is totally jaw dropping!

Only 460 pieces of this elusive Cival War date were minted. PCGS 2, NGC 3, CAC 2.

The last one of these to appear in a major public auction was VERY high end and brought $10,925.00 04/2004 Heritage. Opportunity knocks loud here for ANY intense 3CS Proof collector! Next step up can not happen as both PR67 Cameos are in collections (and one would run you over $15,000.00 easy now).

$1 1881S PCGS MS66 SONNIER COLLECTION
  STUNNING!
Sold on 06/2010
SONNIER COLLECTION. A spectacular colored GEM!

The technical quality is all there. Smooth and sleek looking surfaces are also semi-prooflike. An amazing luster beams from both sides. The obverse colors are a phenomenal pale and are a lightly chromatic blue/green/gold. We grade them MS67! It is a near twin to the 1886 we have posted. Never saw a color like this on a Morgan.

This coin is posted at our BEST price!

50C 1881 PCGS MS67
  WOW, WOW,WOW!
Sold on 06/2010
WOW! That's the best way to describe this amazing SUPERB GEM! Have not seen anything similar since we first handled this coin a few years ago. There is noway this coin could ever disappoint!

Super high end quality. Only a few widely scattered and VERY teenie ticks can be detected. The surfaces are clean overall and have an incredible semi-prooflike finish. The luster is ORIGINAL and is blinding. Some pale reddish gold forms a small crescent on the left obverse and opens into phenomenal frosty white centers. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have needle sharp strikes. The eye appeal of this GEM is super flashy+incredible!

Only 10000 were minted. PCGS 3, NGC 3, CAC 1 (this is the ONLY MS 1881 stickered by CAC). NONE have been graded higher. Pricing for coins like this is not accurate as so few have ever traded. If this coin were in a major auction, who knows what it would sell for. Opportunity knocks loud if you are building a killer Type Set or Monster Half collection.

  SUPERB!
Sold on 06/2010
This GEM oozes with originality! Both sides have a very strong luster that shows off light original toning. The surfaces are exceptionally clean. All of the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is equal to the coins quality: VERY pleasing!

PCGS 862, NGC 819, CAC 40.

$2.5 1925D PCGS MS65
  A GLORIOUS COIN!
Sold on 06/2010
CAC is extra strict on ALL $2.5 Indians.

Rarely will you find $2.5 Indians as clean. The reverse of this is way superior to most-just a few light scattered lines-not ticks. Both sides have a strong luster that shows off beautiful original orange gold color. There are NO spots or stains. All of the details are needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is superb!

PCGS 456, NGC 765, CAC 33.

  ONE OF THE FINEST GRADED!
Sold on 06/2010
Recently we placed another in a major collection we are building. Not really sure where the other example is. Still, this is a VERY rare coin in Superb GEM!

Semi-prooflike surfaces are also intensely lustrous. Only a scattered teenie line or two can be found with a strong glass. There are NO spots or discolorations. The color is a gorgeous gold/pinkish gold mix. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is tremendous!

PCGS 3, NGC 1, CAC 2. The last time a PCGS appeared in a major auction was back in 2006. This is not an easy coin to find-especially not messed with!

J-1403 20C 1875 PCGS PR65
  SUPERB!
Sold on 06/2010
A pristine and totally elegant example of the rare and popular "Seashore" design. This is a R-6 (21-30 minted).

This is a truly ORIGINAL and GEMMY example of this elusive design. The mirrors are exceptionally deep, clear, clean (there are a few tiny toning dots) and have powerful flash. A pretty layer of olive/forest green colors evenly blankets both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 1, NGC 0. Only NGC has one graded higher (in our finest ever Simpson Pattern Collection). The 2009 Judd book values these at $10,000.00 in PR65 and can trace just 10 examples. This coin will make a terrific addition to ANY 20C PR set, or major Pattern collection.

J-339 1863 HALF PCGS PR64BN
  A STUNNING GEM!
Sold on 06/2010
This ULTRA HIGH END GEM is an R-6 (21-30 possibly were minted).

The ONLY thing we see keeping this coin from a PR65 designation, is a VERY small tick on the lower right obverse. It is practically invisible. Otherwise, this coin is a PR65+. Both sides are ultra clean. The mirrors are light. A gorgeous milk chocolate/gold/pale violet mix covers the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is awesome!

PCGS 4, NGC 2, CAC 1. Keep in mind, a regular Proof has 460 minted and trades for $3,500.00. This is a not a bad deal at all! And its housed in an OGH.

J-70 G $1 1836 NGC PR64 GILT
  NEAT DESIGN!
Sold on 06/2010
This is an R-7 (4-12 known). Few people realize this coin is struck on copper and is plated with Gilt (a cheaper gold mix). At the time they were testing different metals.

Both sides reveal even gilted surfaces. Two small copper spots show-proving the coins originality. Surprisingly, you can even detect proof mirrors. Every detail is sharp in strike. Just a little roughness in the gilting is probably why NGC did not grade it PR65. Overall, the eye appeal is VERY pleasing.

PCGS does NOT encapsulate Gilted coins. NGC 1, CAC 1.

1C 1798 2ND HAIR PCGS MS63BN S-174
  AN AMAZING COIN!
Sold on 06/2010
EX HUSAK COLLECTION where it realized $16,100.00 in Feb 2008. Since that sale, we have seen no other MS63's enter the market. And this coin has been tucked away since then as well.

The quality is truly amazing! This is a totally ORIGINAL coin and has been verified so by CAC. There are NO impairments to be found-even using a strong glass. A minor toning dot or two can be seen, but there are NO spots. The surfaces are lightly glossy and have a wonderful pale olive/chocolate brown color. Miss Liberty and the details are remarkably struck and do appear boldly. There is some minor die clashing visible on the reverse. The eye appeal is like the quality-extraordinary!

PCGS 3, NGC 0, CAC 1. Opportunity is knocking down the door! From experience, we can tell you these coins NEVER make appearances at auction or on the bourse floor. This could be your only chance to obtain a choice 1798 1C (PCGS only has one coin higher-an MS and that sold for $200,000.00+ in 2008)!
