10C 1890 PCGS PR64 CAMEO
VERY HIGH END!
Sold on
08/2010
ONLY 590 pieces were ever minted. PCGS showed no mercy on this coin!
Only two minor planchet flakes keep this coin from a PR65 or higher designation. The surfaces overall are smooth, deeply mirrored, and are clean. A thin ring of gold frames the peripheries. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have thick white frost. The eye appeal is fantastic!
PCGS 10, NGC 9, CAC 1.

10C 1835 PCGS MS64
DEEP ORIGINAL COLORS!
Sold on
08/2010
Just bought this coin back from a collector whom we placed it with back in 2008. Its a very neat and high end coin!
Only using a strong glass can you detect a few tiny pinpoint ticks. Overall, the surfaces do appear clean and smooth. The luster is decent. Both sides are evenly covered by a moderate to deep mix of navy/purple/olive colors. The centers are a little lighter. Miss Liberty and the details stand out with strong strikes. The eye appeal is pretty nice!
PCGS 56, NGC 80, CAC 5.

H.01 1855 PCGS MS64RD
A GEM ORIGINAL MINT RED COIN!
Sold on
08/2010
Housed in an older green tag holder. This coin is the real deal: its GEM ORIGINAL MINT RED!
This coin is from the Martin Logies/Cardinal collection (not noted on the holder).
The fist thing you see is a flaming ORIGINAL Mint red color. Its not faded or turning. An intense luster shows the RD color wonderfully. One a few VERY teenie ticks keep this from grading full MS65RD. Overall, to the naked eye the coin does appear clean. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have sharp strikes. No matter how picky you are, this coin has such great eye appeal you will stare at all day!
PCGS 170, NGC 77, CAC 6. If you could find one looking this great in MS65RD, it would cost you at least $10,000.00! This is NOT your typical 1855 MS64RD!

UNBELIEVABLY ULTRA HIGH END!
Sold on
08/2010
Housed in an older NGC thick holder, this coin is an easy MS66.8. WOW does this coin have the ultimate in luster and color. Of course it is spot free. The surfaces are amazingly FLAWLESS! Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have excellent strikes. You have to see this coin in person-IT WILL BLOW YOU AWAY. It is really that close to MS67. The holder actually adds to the eye appeal.

10C 1854 W/A PCGS PR65 CAMEO
INCEDIBLE QUALITY AND EYE APPEAL!
Sold on
08/2010
WOW what a GEM! We can tell that a few years ago this coin WAS in an NGC PR66 holder. We actually had it downgraded before we placed it. We do not have the tag and we do not guarantee it will go back. We are more than satisfied with the coin as is. We have compared it to the other coin and unhesitatingly state this is the FINEST 1854 PR Cameo 10C.
Incredible and nearly electric mirrors are deep, crystal clear, super clean, and of course blaze with bold reflectivity. A touch of blue/green/gold colors frame parts of the rims. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have awesome thick frost. The eye appeal is spectacular (and better than some later dates that come nice)!
It is believed LESS than 50 pieces were minted. PCGS 2, NGC 1, CAC 1. An FYI: IN NON Cameo the pops are PCGS 3, NGC 2. Also, this coin is the ONLY one stickered by CAC for the date in proof.
The last one to sell in major public auction brought $43,125.00 4/2009 Heritage (that's the other coin). This is your only other chance to own Cameoed GEM PR 1854 10C! There are now NONE graded higher!

10C 1878 PCGS MS66
TOTALLY ORIGINAL!
Sold on
08/2010
Not a common date. This coin clearly has been safely stored since it was minted!
The obverse is satiny, yet has light semi-prooflike mirrors. There are NO major hits or problems anywhere. A strong luster enhances a light coating of pewter/pale blue colors. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 3, NGC 3, CAC 2. PCGS does have 3 coins graded higher. Still, we think for under $5,000.00 this coin is a great value.

A PURE SILVER JEWEL!
Sold on
08/2010
A perfect coin for those of you who dislike that haze, spotting, or dullness so many of these come with.
Both sides have fresh, crystal clear, clean, and highly reflective mirrors. Not a hint of toning anywhere. There are ZERO problems to be found even using a strong glass. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike. You will NOT be disappointed in this VERY high end GEM! Oh yeah, its looks great too!

1C 1848 PCGS MS65RD N-10 EX NAFTZGER
POSSIBLY THE FINEST 1848 1C!
Sold on
08/2010
Unquestionably the Naftzger Collection is the greatest ever formed for Large cents. This coin is proof as to why.
We unhesitatingly consider this coin a "WONDER GEM". Even later dates do not comes as spectacular.
Virtually perfect surfaces are smooth and have nothing but some teeny scattered toning dots. The color is a bold ORIGINAL Mint Red. A booming luster also shows off the frosted and sharply struck details. No matter how picky you are, this coin WILL impress you! There just is nothing not to like. The eye appeal is incredible!
PCGS 3, NGC 1, CAC 1. Opportunity like this only knocks once!

$3 1860S PCGS AU53
SUPER HIGH END!
Sold on
08/2010
We purchased this coin from major "crackout" dealer. He said it had been an NGC AU55. Even though no one ever comes up with a tag, we do believe them-this coin is unquestionably VERY high end!
PCGS was VERY tight when they graded this. First, it is totally ORIGINAL and has never been messed with. If we were offered it in a AU55 holder we would have bought it. Still, that does not mean it will ever grade 55 again. Both sides are amazingly clean. Only under a strong glass can you even detect a few light lines. There are NO discolorations from wear (which is super light) or spots. A surprisingly strong luster shows off deep original gold surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is fabulous!
PCGS 9, NGC 11, CAC 1. This date is VERY rare and undervalued. PCGS has graded ONLY a possible 14 coins higher.
If you are an incredibly picky $3 collector, this coin represents an incredible opportunity!
