$1 1880S PCGS MS66 SONNIER COLLECTION
  [quotes]MR BURLAP[quotes]
Sold on 03/2010
SONNIER COLLECTION. This beast of natures glory has it all toning wise! We grade the toning MS69!

Before we get into the toning, we must state the technical qualities for the grade are all there. There are NO major hits or distractions. An intense headlight booming luster beams from both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes.

"Mr. Burlap" is special. It is a coin totally covered with burlap bag imprints on the obverse. Electric bursts (dots) of violet/gold/blue/pearl green/amber will make your head spin-from across the room! This coin looks lie a rainbow with its colors all melted into one. Its for sure is one of the prettier coins in this unbelivable collection! We've seen similar coins sell in auctions for OVER $4,000.00. The images probably do not due this monster justice. If you seek wild color, then this coin will have what you want!

This coin is posted at our BEST price!

  MONSTER RAINBOW
Sold on 03/2010
SONNIER COLLECTION. WOW! This is oen of the WILDEST 85O's we have EVER seen! We grade the colors MS69!!!!

The overall quality of the coin isn't so bad either. There are a few scattered teenie ticks-but they are hidden. Both sides have an incredible luster. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and fully struck.

The colors come with a warning from the Mayo Clinic: Do not stare too long or else the formation will be implanted forever in your memory! Out of this world totally bag toned MONSTER stripes of navy/pearl green/burgendy/violey/baby blue/amber/gold look like they are illuminate by a fire! They cover over half the obverse and show a trace of gold on the reverse.

Legend Numismatics can't thank Brian Sonnier enough for keeping his many years promise of selling us this incredible once in a life time collection.

We have posted this coin at our BEST price!

Perfect and pretty, what more could you want?

Both sides really have ZERO imperfections anywhere. The surfaces are fully matte and do emit a strong luster. The obverse has an even light nickel gold color while the reverse is more light golden brown. The colors are definitely original. Every detail is also pinpoint sharp in strike. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 46, NGC 39, CAC 9. The last one of these to sell in major public auction brought $4,600.00 10/09 Heritage (it was a non CAC coin too).

  A BORDERLINE MS66!
Sold on 03/2010
This is one heck of an early Walker!

We rank this coin in the top 5% for the date-and grade it a 65.8+++. There is not much separating it from MS66.

Both sides are super clean and slightly velvety. A good luster highlights light original champagne/golden brown colors that fully cover the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck-you do NOT need a glass to the full head or thumb split. The eye appeal is exceptional too!

PCGS 30, NGC 18, CAC 1. Keep in mind, the next step up would cost you $50,000.00+ if you could find one!
