J-140 1852 PCGS PR65
  WICKED COOL GEM RING DOLLAR!
Sold on 04/2010
This coin is a R-7 (7-12 possibly minted). It was struck in copper nickel and is wicked neat!

These are actually easy to grade. The surfaces are clean and smooth. A strong luster shows off the original moderate colors. All of the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal of this coin is awesome!

This is certainly a coin you do NOT see offered with any frequency! PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. There are NONE higher! The Judd book values this at $12,000.00. Any other coin from 1852 in Proof 65 is worth a fortune. We know this coin represents great value!

50C YORK PCGS MS68
  ORIGINAL TAB TONING!
Sold on 04/2010
This York should answer everyone's questions as to whether or not we still deal in Commems! We just haven't seen many we really like. This coin got our hearts pumping again.

Partial gorgeous original tab toning displays fiery colors of reddish gold/pearl green/gold. The surfaces are ultra clean and offer a powerful luster. Of course all of the details are sharply struck and have light frost. The eye appeal will make you drool!

PCGS 21, NGC 30. The last one of these sold in a major auction brought $7,475.00 03/08 Heritage.

50C 1936S RHODE ISLAND PCGS MS67
  BEAUTIFULLY COLORED!
Sold on 04/2010
Yet another Commem date and grade we have not owned for years. The sad part-Commems have so much potential.

This coin is gorgeous! Both sides greet you with an intense luster. You can clearly see the surfaces are perfectly clean. A moderate mix of original pale blue/purple/russet/violet colors all swirl about (the mix is more vivid on the reverse). Every detail is sharply struck and appears boldly. A great coin for a color lover!

This is still the rarest RI in MS67. 15000 were minted. PCGS 14, NGC 19, CAC 5. NONE are graded higher anywhere. The last one to sell in major auction brought $3,450.00 Stacks 03/09. Not a Commem you will see offered at every show or auction.

50C 1937 BOONE PDS SET PCGS MS67
  A MATCHED ORIGINAL SET!
Sold on 04/2010
We love this RARE and important set to death! ANY matched original set is considered by us to the top last numismatic frontier to conquer. And this set, certainly in this state of preservation is remarkable to even exist!

While not a monster colored set, this set is evenly colored with tones of champagne/pale golden brown/russet/pale lilac. Each coin is exceedingly clean, lustrous, and has fully struck features. The eye appeal is VERY pleasing.

Only 2506 sets were ever minted. We doubt if even 100 GEM ORIGINAL MATCHED sets still exist. We'll do the pops by each coin: P : PCGS 69, NGC 56, CAC 15, D: PCGS 44, NGC 28, CAC 9, S: PCGS 31, NGC 26, CAC 4. Our guess is its been at least a decade since we have handled any 1937 Boone set in as high of a grade. Opportunity knocks loud right now for people looking for something cool and different to own. We can not streess enough the great potantial offered here.

1C 1909S INDIAN PCGS MS65RD
  A TERRIFIC COIN!
Sold on 04/2010
We have not owned or handled one of these in well over a year now. We have not seen any we liked.

No question this is a totally ORIGINAL GEM. Both sides are VERY clean. A microscopic tick can be found on the cheek ONLY if using a powerful glass. The reverse has some VERY light teenie flecks (no not enough to look like a finger print or anything like that). A strong luster also shows off the GEM ORIGINAL MINT RED COLOR. All of the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is terrific!

This coin is housed in an older green tag PCGS holder.

PCGS 135, NGC 51, CAC 5. The last one to sell in a major auction brought $5,750.00 03/2010 B+M. And it was not CAC'd, but was Photo Sealed. The last one of these we bought in 2008, we paid $6,900.00 for. Opportunity knocks loud now!

50C 1941 PDS-1947PD SHORT SET ALL PCGS MS65
  EACH COIN IS BEAUTIFUL!
Sold on 04/2010
McCLAREN COLLECTION. This is a handpicked HIGH END set. We selected each coin based upon QUALITY and EYE appeal. There are NO dogs in here. Each coin is WHITE and has a strong luster.

We have only made a total of 5 sets from this massive collection of at least 10000 Walkers! This is the last set we can assemble.

YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

This set is posted at our BEST price!

  WOW IS THIS CLEAN!
Sold on 04/2010
Not your typical mushy or dull 17D Walker! The quality is VERY high end!

Amazing ultra clean surfaces reveal nothing more than a minor frost break or two. The surfaces are velvety and have a great strong luster. Both sides are a creamy white and have just a blush of gold. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. This coin definitely has NOT been messed with. The eye appeal is fabulous!

PCGS 32, NGC 18, CAC 2. PCGS has graded just 5 in MS 66 with NONE higher. We actually did buy this from a world class "crackout" dealer who tried it several times for an MS66. Maybe in last years market this was an MS66, but in today's market, this is a 65++ GEM!

J-1375 1874 PCGS PR64RB BICKFORD
  A GEM CLASSIC RARITY!
Sold on 04/2010
This coin is a R-7 (7-12 possibly minted). The quality is SUPER HIGH END!

Incredibly deep, crystal clear, clean, and unbelievably reflective mirrors cover both sides. There is a small patch of toning/staining on the reverse only and it is NOT bothersome in person. The only reason why we think PCGS did NOT PR65 it-there is some slight porosity on the planchet. The colors are a rich mint red/gold/pale brown. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is spectacular!

Yes, this is the exact same Bickford design that in Gold just sold for $1,100,000.00! We can not stress enough what tremendous value this coin represents. In the Judd Book a PR63 is valued at $30,000.00! In the book, they show the last J-1375 selling at a major auction in 2/2008 (Heritage) in an ANACS PR62 for $21,850.00! It certainly wasn't this coin as this coin is in a older green tag PCGS holder.

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. We think this coin represents an opportunity of epic proportions for the collector who loves Patterns and rarities.

10C 1824/2 PCGS MS64
  VERY NEAT!
Sold on 04/2010
This is not your typical Bust Dime. First, we have never seen one of these that we really liked (we have owned half the pop of MS64's). Apparently not a lot of care went into striking them. This coin has proof of that.

It appears under a strong glass this coin was struck from slightly rusted dies. Also, the planchet did not seem to the best. You can clearly see die clashing (Mint made) and a few scattered teenie tick and lines. To the naked eye the coin appears clean. The luster is actually decent and makes the moderate layer of pewter more lively. The strike is typical for the date-good but not great. You do NOT need a glass to see the over strike on the date (which we think is pretty neat). Still, the eye appeal manages to be nice.

PCGS 6, NGC 6, CAC 1. PCGS has graded only 2 coins higher. The last one to appear in major auction brought $8,050.00 09/09 Heritage. Opportunity knocks loud for the serious Bust Dime Collector.

J-319 3C 1863 PCGS PR65RB
  A STUNNING PROOF LARGE CENT!
Sold on 04/2010
This is an R-5 (31-75 pieces minted). It is basically a 3C piece struck as a Large Cent. Rarely will you find coins like this in such an outstanding condition.

The quality clearly is ULTRA HIGH END. Lightly mirrored surfaces are pristine. Even if you use the worlds strongest glass, you will find NO imperfections. Originality beams from both sides. Strong hints of faded Mint Red blend into light blue/brown centers. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is amazing!

PCGS 3, NGC 0, CAC 2. Auction records show one selling for $8,913.00 in 1/2009 Heritage.

If you love Proof Large Cents, then you WILL love this GEM! We think this piece represents excellent value.
