$1 1881S PCGS MS66 SONNIER COLLECTION
  JINGLE BELLS!
Sold on 05/2010
SONNIER COLLECTION (not on holder). We named this Jingle Bells because that's what we think of when we look at it. We definitely consider this to be on the best pieces from the Sonnier Collection!

We unhesitatingly grade the colors MS69.9! They are unbelievably polychromatic and that look is enhanced by unbelievable semi-prooflike mirrors. out of this world shades of neon pearl green/royal blue/fire burst violet/red/purple/gold all swirl wildly on the obverse only. The reverse just has some gold by the rims and is white. Only under a strong glass can you find any ticks. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck.

This is a coin we will be very sad to see sell. It has sat on our desks each day we have owned it. It probably will for the new owner too. The eye appeal is THAT mindblowing!

If this coin were in a major auction, it would easily bring a run away record price. This coin is posted at our BEST price!

$1 1880S PCGS MS65 SONNIER COLLECTION
  BABY GODZILLA!
Sold on 05/2010
SONNIER COLLECTION. Sonnier is not on the holder. This is a glow in the dark neon headlight monster! No question its mother IS Godzilla.

Unbelievable monochromatic colors of green/violet/red/blue flame in a fashion you'll never forget on the entire obverse. We grade the colors MS68+! Its like looking at a melted neon billboard on steroids! The reverse has some violet and gold by the rims. An intense luster adds to the drama. The surfaces are appear clean overall. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have generous frost. You can't beat the eye appeal.

If you seek wild colored Morgans, then the Sonnier and Sunnywood/Simpson coins are what you want. This coin is one of the wildest!

$20 1909S PCGS MS64+
  VERY HIGH END!
Sold on 05/2010
Yes, this coin is a + in a PCGS Secure Plus holder. It is also ex Simpson Collection (it was one of his dupes).

Mr Simpson loves his gold. However, his mandate to us has been buy the BEST for the grade and make sure it has color and or great eye appeal. While this coin is not two tone, it has awesome looks. Both sides are amazingly clean and have a strong luster. The color is a rich yellow gold. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are well struck. We did compare this piece to a non CAC MS65 we have. Its scarey how close they are. Regardless, if you seek a VERY high end 09S, this is your coin!

We do not have the + pops, so we will tell you the regular pops: PCGS 1645, NGC 1325, CAC 37. A PCGS MS65 CAC coin is worth $6,000.00 easily (CAC has only stickered 9).

  GORGEOUS TWO TONE COLORS!
Sold on 05/2010
The originality of this coin is unquestionable. Mother nature got out her paint brush and splashed color all over this coin!

There are no major problems-only a few MINOR hidden ticks on the velvety smooth surfaces. A full booming luster shows off beautiful two tone colors of orange/yellow gold on both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is jaw dropping!

PCGS 448, NGC 654, CAC 36.

  A PLEASING WHITE GEM!
Sold on 05/2010
This is a pleasing white GEM. There are NO problems visible. Also, there are NO spots or discolorations. The surfaces are exceptionally clean and emit a bold luster. All of the details are well struck and appear boldly. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 264, NGC 73, CAC 14.

$1 1898 PCGS MS66 SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON COLLECTION
  BEAUTIFUL ALBUM COLOR!
Sold on 05/2010
SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON COLLECTION. This coin is virtual twin to the 1897 we have posted. It has the same colors and color patterns.

Both sides are amazingly clean and smooth. A strong luster highlights the moderate blushes of blue/lime/green/gold/tangerine that swirl all over both sides. We grade the colors MS65.6. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is fantastic! Keep in mind, next step up costs $6,000.00-for a regular white coin!

This coin is listed at our BEST price!

$1 1886 PCGS MS66 SONNIER COLLECTION
  MAGICAL RAINBOW COLORS!
Sold on 05/2010
SONNIER COLLECTION (not on holder). Special note: this is the ONLY Sonnier coin that did NOT CAC. We think its because there are a few VERY light bag marks. The color was NOT the issue.

The obverse is 3/4 covered by a magical neon like rainbow of blues/pearl greens/gold/violet/reds that sweep you off your feet. An intense and nearly blinding luster makes the colors appear almost 3-D. We grade the colors MS68.8! You can see a few VERY light scuffs scattered about, but they do not detract at all. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. This is really one heck of a colored Morgan!

  FANTASTIC!
Sold on 05/2010
Really neat!

Full GEMMY and glossy surfaces are perfectly clean. There are a few tiny spots-but they are toning, not flecks or anything else. The color is a gorgeous original even chocolate. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is wonderful!

Do not let the pops fool you! These are rare coins in true GEM! PCGS 36, NGC 101, CAC 5. PCGS has graded only 2 coins higher. This coin is housed in an older green tag holder.

We think ALL true GEM Half cents are way undervalued. This coin is posted at your BEST price!

$20 1930S PCGS MS65
  PHENOMENAL EYE APPEAL!
Sold on 05/2010
Considering it is hard to get ANY common date a CAC sticker, you know this was carefully examined and had to be special for it to receive the green bean. One look and your eyes will pop out!

We make no bones about it, we purchased this coin out of the Heritage FUN Sale for $207,000.00 purely because we LOVED it. We NEVER ever see 1930S with such glorious color or quality. Plus, in December, we WHOLESALED a nice PCGS MS64 for $135,000.00. When a great coin comes to market (with so few doing so these days), we are not afraid to put our money into it.

The quality is all there and then some. Only one teenie tick can be detected on the left obverse. There is a thin partial RAISED line in the right obverse field. Otherwise, the surfaces are all clean and satiny. A full booming luster shows off orginal two tone mindboggling orange/electric yellow gold colors. There are NO spots anywhere. The eye appeal is incredible, just like the coin!

PCGS 8, NGC 7, CAC 1.

Legend Numismatics is pleased to own and offer all of our numismatic friends the opportunity to acquire on the best GEM 1930S $20's in existance!

  SEMI-PROOFLIKE!
Sold on 05/2010
WOW! An out of this world SUPERB GEM that is the lone highest graded coin by PCGS. Keep in mind, that's after 20+ years of operations and millions of coins.

Virtually perfect surfaces adorn both sides. Only some die clashing marks (which are Mint made) are visible. There is a VERY TEENIE copper spot under the neck. Not only are the surfaces semi-prooflike, but the luster is intense. The color is a stunning orange gold. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is tremendous.

PCGS 1, NGC 3, CAC 1. NGC has graded one MS68 which as of right now is not CAC stickered.

This coin last appeared in 03/04 B+M sale where it realized $25,300.00. Its been with the same collector since. And it is housed in an older green label holder.
