$1 1873 STD PCGS MS65
  AN AMAZING GEM!
Sold on 06/2011
Another amazing GEM from our #2 all time finest MS Seated Dollar set. We did not post it due to the fact we had trouble imaging it. As you can see, the coin is high end and looks tremendous!

You can't ask for a more perfect MS65. Both sides have smooth and satiny surfaces. There are just a few VERY teenie scattered ticks-nothing big that the naked eye would stick on. The luster is surprisingly strong. it enlivens totally ORIGINAL colors of pale blue/pale purple/golden brown/champagne that swirl all over. There is one tiny toning dot hidden on the reverse in the eagles wing. Miss Liberty and the details are heavily frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal will make your jaw drop!

PCGS 4, NGC 4, CAC 5. PCGS has graded only 2 coins finer-the FINEST is the MS66 in our #1 all time greatest set. The last one to sell in a major auction brought $63,250.00 08/2010 Heritage. This is not an auction, and we have priced this coin at a really great deal! When these GEMs are gone, good luck find any in the future-MS Seated Dollars in 65 and higher are incredibly rare.

  TOTALLY ORIGINAL!
Sold on 06/2011
This is a full MINT RED GEM!

No question this coin is totally ORIGINAL. Both sides have a GEMMY Mint Red color that is enlivened by a full booming luster. There are NO spots or problems-just light toning dots. Every detail is fully struck and have frost. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 42, NGC 26, CAC 6. These are not as easy to find w/CAC stickers as you think! The last one sold (a NON CAC) in major public auction brought $4,313.00 1/2011 Heritage. Opportunity knock loud here!

$10 1912 PCGS MS65
  100% ORIGINAL!
Sold on 06/2011
Have not seen or handled one of these in ages. This coin is all there quality wise!

First, this coin clearly has NEVER been dipped or messed with. The tiny "spots" you see on the lower left, actually are patches of toning. There are NO marks visible to the naked eye (under a glass you can see one or two MINOR ticks). The surfaces are satiny smooth and radiate with a really strong luster. Both sides are a silky yellow gold color. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 23, NGC 62, CAC 11. The last PCGS MS65 CAC sold for $15,525.00 in 11/10 Stacks sale.

J- 150 1C 1853 PCGS PR65+ THIN
  STRONGLY MIRRORED!
Sold on 06/2011
This is an R-7 (4-12 minted). It is s a made from the regular production dies for the Quarter Eagle. It is a mix of metals. The quality of this coin is outrageous!

Surprisingly strong mirrors are clean and clear overall. There is a teenie planchet chip by the rim at 10:00 on the upper left obverse. The color is a bold pewter/silver. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. This coin is the FINEST graded by PCGS. There are NO auction records for any + coins. The Judd book values a PR65 at $8,500.00. We do agree with that valuation.

ANY PR coin from 1853 is exceedingly rare. Here you have a 1C on a $2.5 Proof coin in a unique cocktail mix of metals. We don't think a pattern can be much cooler!

  VERY HIGH END!
Sold on 06/2011
Some days the + machine can't stop itself, and other days it won't do make a single +. Guess which day this coin came in!! We unhesitatingly proclaim this coin to VERY HIGH END and in the top 2% for the grade!

There is a light abrasion on Miss Lib's neck which looks more like a frost break than a little hit. Overall, the surfaces are clean and smooth. The reverse looks like it is MS65 quality. A full booming luster shows off gorgeous greenish gold colors. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 15, NGC 10, CAC 4. The last one of these to sell in major auction (a NON CAC) brought $6,325.00. We also think its critical to point out, after 25+ years of operations, PCGS has NOT graded a MS65, only ONE MS66! This is hard factual proof how this date does not come-nice! We're also going to guess that the pops are inflated by at least 20% as all geniuses have probably tried every 64 for a 65. Anyway, this is a beautiful VERY HIGH END GEM!

  PRETTY!
Sold on 06/2011
Only a small reverse scratch (HIDDEN IN THE EAGLE) is what keeps this coin from an MS66 designation. It is not deep or really eye catching. The surfaces on both sides are super clean overall. A strong luster lights up the pretty orange gold colors. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!

The current sightUNSEEN BID for MS65 Saints is $2400.00.

  A GEM AU!
Sold on 06/2011
A GEM AU coin we are selling for a good friend. We really do like it.

There are ultra light hints of semi-prooflike mirrors and luster (when you tilt the coin). Both sides have no major marks and are covered by ORIGINAL "skin" (this coin was never dipped). No spots or discolorations are visible either. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. Any wear is light and does not stand out. The eye appeal is fabulous for an AU55!

PCGS 14, NGC 26, CAC 3. A NON CAC piece that was not so nice sold in auction for $2,990.00 08/2010 B+M. The CU value of this date is $4,200.00. You will be extremely pleased with this coin!

3CS 1858 PCGS MS67
  PERFECT!
Sold on 06/2011
How exciting to find a perfect coin from 1858-especially an obsolete denomination too!

The highlight of this coin is its absolutely perfection. Both sides have NO marks anywhere or of any size. What you do see (when using a strong glass) are light clashing marks (Mint made). The surfaces are satiny and have a strong luster. There is light pewter color on the surfaces. All of the details are needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 10, NGc 15, CAC 2. PCGS has graded one MS67+. The last 1858 PCGS MS67 (non CAC) to sell at a major auction brought $18,400.00 03/2005 B+M. That should prove how rare these are! Legend Numismatics is pleased to own and offer this rare GEM 3CS.

1C 1856 FE PCGS PR64
  REAL MIRRORS!
Sold on 06/2011
Only the PR67 we bought and sold recently had mirrors close to this coin. We never ever see real mirrors on these!

We do unhesitatingly call this coin in the top 5% for the grade. There are NO spots-light toning stains should not be confused with spots. They are invisible to the naked eye (the pinpoint stains). We can not believe that both sides have real Silver Type like mirrors. On the reverse they are mostly covered by toning. The coin has a terrific rich copper/red color too (which is darker on the center of the reverse only). Every detail is sharply struck and has light frost. This is NOT your typical 1856 FE! The eye appeal is gorgeous!

PCGS 195, NGC 119, CAC 13. The last one of these to sell in a major auction (NON CAC) brought $18,400.00 3/11 Heritage. Prior to that one sold for $27,600.00 02/2011 Heritage. We have not handled one of these since early 2009. They are hard to find nice-let alone with real mirrors like this!

  VERY PLEASING!
Sold on 06/2011
Have a nice, fresh, and totally ORIGINAL MS 65 Saint here. This coin has never been dipped and displays pretty light orange gold surfaces. Only with a strong glass can a few teenie ticks be detected-there are NO major hits. A strong luster shows off well struck features. We were able to buy this slightly better date at no premium!
