25C 1914 PCGS PR65+ CAMEO
  A GORGEOUS GEM PROOF!
Sold on 10/2011
This is a beautiful and quality oriented piece!

We love Barbers when they have super deep, clear, and highly reflective mirrors like this. The only thing we can see that keeps this coin from a higher grade designation is a small HIDDEN scratch (and it really is hidden). A wonderful mix of pale olive/golden brown/russet colors all swirl on the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is really great!

ONLY 380 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 5, NGC 5, CAC 2. This is the ONLY PR65+ Cameo graded by PCGS or NGC. The last REGULAR NON + sold for $2,300.00 11/2010 Stacks. Opportunity knocks hard and loud here!

3CS 1868 PCGS PR66 CAMEO
  ONE OF THE FINEST KNOWN!
Sold on 10/2011
Being the owner and builder of the #1 all time FINEST PR 3CS set, we know what is and is not available. The only other one of these we have seen-is the one that now resides in our set! This coin could reside in our set too-it is phenomenal!

Only a small thin lint mark could be what is keeping this coin from aPR67 cameo status. You need a glass to see it. Both sides have shimmering deep mirrors that are crystal clear, super clean, and have bold reflectivity. A heart pounding ring of royal blue frames burnt orange/pale violet colors all over. Every detail is frosted and has a pinpoint sharp strike. The eye appeal is major WOW factor-even though it is a smaller coin!

ONLY 600 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 6, NGC 3, CAC 3. PCGS has graded NONE higher while NGC has one. We paid strong for this coin as we know there are no others around that look as good. Opportunity knocks loud here!

5C 1874 PCGS PR66 CAMEO
  GLASSY MIRRORS!
Sold on 10/2011
Shimmering mirrors are glassy and flashy!

Even if you use a really strong glass, all you can find is a thin scattered line or two. Overall, the mirrors are pristine, clean, and have bold reflectivity. They look like glass. Every detail is needle sharp in strike and have bold frost. The eye appeal is wonderful!

ONLY 700 pieces were minted. PCGS 11, NGC 9, CAC 4. PCGS and NGC each have graded only 2 coins higher. A PCGS NON CAC coin sold for $1,840.00 1/2010. These are definitely NOT as common or as easy to find as you think!

5C 1873 CL 3 PCGS PR66
  A SHIMMERING GEM!
Sold on 10/2011
This coin is basically "as struck". That means it was never touched.

Only a light and hidden die line or two on the reverse are what keep this killer GEM from being an PR67. The mirrors are strong, clean, clear, and do have surprising reflectivity. Every detail is needle sharp in strike and has strong frost. There are NO spots anywhere. The eye appeal is great and is nearly a full cameo!

PCGS 23, NGC 36, CAC 3. A NON CAC PCGS PR66 sold for $1,840.00 03/2011 Stacks.

50C 1914 PCGS PR66
  SUPER HIGH END!
Sold on 10/2011
A date and grade you hardly ever see! This coin is SUPER HIGH END!

Using a strong glass you find NO imperfections anywhere. PCGS probably felt the toning was slightly irregular and thus found its ridiculous reason not to grade the coin PR67. The mirrors are crystal clear and have strong reflectivity. The toning is a mix of olive/purple/gold/blue and other assorted flavors. No question this coin is totally ORIGINAL. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. Only 380 pieces were ever minted. The eye appeal is VERY pleasing!

PCGS 19, NGC 38, CAC 3. The last one of these to hit a major auction was back in 2007! These definitely do NOT appear with any frequency!

5C 1916D PCGS MS66 DAKOTA
  REMARKABLE!
Sold on 10/2011
Superior in quality and eye appeal to so many Buffaloes we see in higher grades!

Both sides are PERFECT! not even the teeniest tick or spot can be found anywhere. The color is an even silvery nickel with a faint hint of gold on the lower left obverse. A lot of luster adds to the boldly struck details standing out. The eye appeal is really GEMMY and SUPERB! This coin would 66 every time.

PCGS 11, NGC 4, CAC 2. PCGS and NGC have graded NONE higher than MS66. A NON CAC coin sold for $7,188.00 in 06/10. Prior to that several sold in the 2004-2007 era for $12-$16,000.00. At least with this GEM, not only does PCGS assure you the quality, so do we and CAC. It does not get any better than that!

  SATINY SUPERB!
Sold on 10/2011
This coin seriously borders MS66 quality!

Ultra clean and smooth surfaces reveal nothing more than a light frost break or two. A strong luster also shows off gorgeous ORIGINAL creamy white colors. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 268, NGC 227, CAC 28. There are only 3 MS65+ graded by PCGS. One sold in auction for $3,450.00 07/2011 Heritage (it was a NON CAC). Next step up costs $30,000.00+-if you can find the lone CAC coin. We bought this coin right and will pass the savings on to you!

50C 1938 NEW ROCHELLE PCGS MS66+ GUTTAG
  SEMI-PROOFLIKE!
Sold on 10/2011
We see no real reason as to why this magnificent coin did not receive a MS67 from PCGS. It is awesome!

bold semi-prooflike surfaces are super clean and smooth. A bold luster shows off a little scattered and light gold toning (this coin is really silvery white). Every detail is well struck There is no way anyone can dislike this coin! The eye appeal is PHENOMENAL!

PCGS 858, NGC 506, CAC 146 (ALL). PCGS has graded only 18 coins MS66+. Just 15,266 were minted.

$1 1880S PCGS MS68
  SEMI-PROOFLIKE W/LIGHT CONTRAST!
Sold on 10/2011
We totally agree with BOTH PCGS and CAC that this coin is a really nice MS68. We'd guess that 75% of what are in holders as MS68's-are not. What a shame!

The new owner of this SUPERB GEM gets a coin to be really proud of. The surfaces are surprisingly clean and smooth. Semi-prooflike mirrors are the epitome of perfection and have an intensity that along with the great luster can blind you. This is NOT a dipped out coin. The color is a creamy white. Miss Liberty and the details are heavily frosted and have full strikes. Your heart will race when it sees this piece of eye candy!

PCGS 148, NGC 280, CAC 47. The last PCGS/CAC coin to sell in major auction brought $5,031.00 07/2011 Heritage. Opportunity knocks loud here!

10C 1835 PCGS MS65+
  OUTSTANDING!
Sold on 10/2011
A true borderline MS66! Totally ORIGINAL too!

Crisp, clean and smooth surfaces are a delight. Only two very teenie ticks can be detected on the reverse. A superb pretty mix of pale gold/green/golden brown colors intermingles nicely all over. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are well struck. The eye appeal is exceptional!

PCGS 14, NGC 19, CAC 4. This is the ONLY PCGS/CAC MS 65+ graded by PCGS. PCGS has graded ONLY one MS66. The last regular MS 65 (NO CAC) that sold in auction brought $7,475.00 09/2006 Heritage-that's 5 years ago! This is certainly not a date you will see with any remote frequency in full GEM. Opportunity more than knocks loud here!
