5C 1886 PCGS MS66
  A WONDER GEM!
Sold on 04/2011
One of the rarest and most underrated dates in the series in GEM MS. This coin certainly is high end and superb in every way!

At first glance you wonder why it is only a MS66. There are NO distracting marks or problems. The surfaces are silky smooth and glow with a powerful unbroken luster. There are NO spots and the color is a totally ORIGINAL Nickel. Miss Liberty and the details are so sharply struck you do NOT need a glass to see all the fine points. The eye appeal is tremendous!

PCGS 6, NGC 3, CAC 5. PCGS/NGC have graded NONE higher. The last one to sell in major auction brought $29,325.00 02/2010 Heritage and was NOT CAC.

Legend is proud to own an offer this possibly FINEST graded 1886 5C!

$20 1925D PCGS MS64+
  A BORDERLINE MS65!
Sold on 04/2011
If this were a common date, it probably would be graded MS65. Realistically it is just a few teenie ticks from full GEM.

There are a just a few very teenie/small widely ticks scattered about. NONE are large or detract. There are NO major problems. The surfaces are semi satiny and have a surprisingly intense luster. Both sides have a beautiful mix of deep gold and pinkish gold. No question this coin is 100% ORIGINAL. Miss Liberty and the details ar frosty and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal will dazzle you!

PCGS 123/1 (1 in MS64+), NGC 88/0, CAC 9 (with NONE higher). This lone 64+ has not been in auction. Do NOT let the pops fool you. This is a very hard to find date in GEM!

An MS65 is worth a minimum of $75,000.00-and so far there are NONE CAC'd. The Collectors Universe Value is $30,000.00. This particular coin does indeed warrant a price in between 64 and MS65-its the real deal!

$1 1872 PCGS PR65 DCAMEO
THE ULTIMATE BLACK AND WHITE MONSTER!
Sold on 04/2011
To start, the quality is ULTRA HIGH END. PCGS definitely should have designated this coin a + at the very least (which is why we do not understand how they grade anymore). If you seek a true B+M ULTRA, then you MUST see this coin in person!

We can hold this coin all day and just stare are our full reflection in the miles deep, crystal clear, clean, and powerfully reflective mirrors. There is not one even minute hint of haze or toning (there are a few pinpoint toning dots). The mirrors look like fresh ice. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have awesome neon like snowy white frost. Your eye balls will pop out when they see this total MONSTER!

PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 1 (this is the ONLY DC beaned by CAC in ANY grade). There are NO auction records. The closest thing we can come up with is an 1870 NON CAC that sold for $23,000.00 in 07/2008 Heritage. We strongly believe if this coin were in a major auction it would bring a run away price. Real quality and eye appeal like this never come cheap!

The image does NOT due the coin justice.

1C 1793 WREATH VINE+BARS PCGS AU58
  A SUPERB GEM AU!!!
Sold on 04/2011
We challenge anyone to show us a finer AU58 Wreath Cent. Can't happen-any finer the coin would be an MS61! This coin is amazing!!!

You need a strong glass to detect only the slightest hint of wear. The surfaces are amazingly super clean, smooth, and glossy. There is some ORIGINAL luster remaining. No question this coin has never been messed with. There are NO discolorations. Both sides are a heartpounding even deeper chocolate color. Miss Liberty and the details have the most amazing strikes they look sculpted. The eye appeal is this GEM is outrageous!

PCGS 14, NGC 10, CAC 2. The last one of these to appear in a major auction sold for $48,875.00 1/2011 Stacks. We have had this coin with a customer for some time now. Prior to his ownership we had placed it in a major PRE 1800 Type Collection we built (and was sold privately). We never ever see them like this!

50C 1863 PCGS PR64
  A NEAR MISS PR 65!
Sold on 04/2011
We studied this coin hard and could not see why PCGS did not grade it PR 65 (we make no guarantee). It definitely is SUPER HIGH END!

Deep, clear, clean, and powerfully reflective mirrors beam from all over the coins surfaces. There are NO visible lines or problems anywhere. A deeper but NOT dark or drab color scheme of navy/olive/blue evenly covers the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is wonderful!

Besides being of superior quality, the numbers are impressive too: ONLY 460 pieces of this grand Civil War date were ever minted. PCGS 38, NGC 24, CAC 2. Surprisingly, the last coin to sell in a major auction was a NON CAC piece which brought $3,220.00 in 09/2005 Heritage! We know it is safe to say that adding a CAC bean and time have only made this piece more valuable!

  SUPER PRETTY COLORS!
Sold on 04/2011
This coin is exceptional for the grade. It has great colors too!

Deep, clean, clear, and highly reflective mirrors adorn both sides. Even using a strong glass you find no real imperfections. There is a gorgeous color scheme that starts with a ring of electric blue then blends into pale tangerine/violet colors on the obverse. The reverse is more of a deeper blue/purple color and is very lively. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is wonderful!

Only 886 pieces were ever minted. The last coin to sell in a major auction was an NGC NON CAC coin that sold for $3,737.00 12/2010 Heritage. A PCGS CAC coin last brought $8,050.00 11/2010 Stacks. We bought this coin right and are pleased we can offer a really good deal on it. You will NOT be disappointed!

50C 1905 PCGS PR66+
  A BORDERLINE PR67!
Sold on 04/2011
No question this coin is a borderline PR67. It has the look and quality!

Under a strong glass we see a line that is either a die line or thin scratch-that's what keeps this coin from PR67. You have to tilt the coin to see it. Both sides have deep, crystal clear, super clean, and highly reflective mirrors. An even coating of ORIGINAL pale purple/blue color is spread all over (the colors are NOT dull). Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is terrific!

ONLY 727 minted. PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 4 (all). This piece has never been in auction. the last PR 66 (non CAC) brought only $4,313.00 back in a 2008 Heritage sale. This piece certainly is worth much more than that!

We are VERY bullish on all PR 65-67 Barber coins. You might want to look into building a set of them as they are some what affordable-and most important-completable!

$1 1842 PCGS MS64 ELIASBERG
  SENSATIONAL PROOFLIKE SURFACES!
Sold on 04/2011
What a coin! Hard to believe this GEM is fully prooflike and would rival any DMPL!

You can be across the street and you will be blown away by this coins powerfully reflective mirrors. They are also incredibly clear. There are a few very tiny ticks scattered about-but none are serious. Some light golden brown/pale violet color covers most of the reverse and has hints along the rims. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have bold strikes. For an MS Seated Dollar to have WOW eye appeal is definitely special!

PCGS 17, NGC 18, CAC 6. Only a PCGS MS64+ is higher. We can not stress enough this coins rarity and its high end great looking qualities!

5C 1915 PCGS PR65
  TOTALLY ORIGINAL!
Sold on 04/2011
If you crave absolute ORIGINALITY this coin is for you!

Super clean and smooth Matte surfaces have NO problems. There are one or two teenie pinpoint toning dots, but NO flecks. A light hint of golden brown is on both sides. The luster is decent. ALL of the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 125, NGC 108, CAC 4. This coin is housed in an older green tag holder.

10C 1904 PCGS MS66+
  TIED FOR FINEST KNOWN!
Sold on 04/2011
This coin is nothing less than a fully COLORED MONSTER! It is tied for FINEST known with our Law/Simpson specimen.

Everything about this coin is spectacular. Only a few nearly invisible small lines keep this coin from grading MS67. to the naked eye, this coin looks clean and smooth. The surfaces are satiny and glow with one of the most intense luster we have ever seen on ANY MS Barber Dime. Picasso couldn't have created a better or wilder color scheme of auburn/golden brown/green/gold pale rose colors that swirl boldly over both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. This is a coin with such killer eye appeal your jaw will drop and lock!

PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 1 (the other coin has not been to CAC). Obviously neither has appeared in auction. NON CAC MS66's sell for about $2,750.00. If a PCGS/CAC MS67 coin were for sale, we'd easily pay $10,000.00. Opportunity knocks loud here!
