$20 1926D PCGS MS65 SIMPSON
  LOOKS ALMOST LIKE A 26P!
Sold on 02/2012
Last month at the FUN show, we were able to acquire the 26D PCGS MS66+, the FINEST 26D in existence. Hence, this coin has become a duplicate. We rank it as the SECOND FINEST 26D (we do not think the other MS66 is so great). It is an unquestionable REAL GEM 26D. And it has NEVER been messed with.

One thing that is remarkable about this coin that you see immediately: it has a super strong luster. This is NOT a dull or crusty coin. The surfaces have a few thin cuts (which are invisible) but do look exceptionally clean overall. The bold cartwheel luster shows off totally ORIGINAL pale greenish/yellow gold colored surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and are very well struck. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 3, NGC 0, CAC 2. This coin last sold in 1/10 Heritage for $253,000.00.

If you collect RARE GEM Saints, this is one of the all time tough dates to locate in TRUE MS 65. Legend Numismatics is proud to have placed it in the Simspon Collection-the UNDISPUTED ALL TIME FINEST EVER MS Saint Collection. Now, we are proud to own it again and offer it to collectors.

  INTENSELY LUSTEROUS!
Sold on 02/2012
We do not buy many Bust Dollars because we can't find nice ones. When we do buy them, we assure you, they are either totally superior or are borderline the next grade up. This SUPERB GEM AU coin is both!

From the recent Hesselgesser Sale (we did not like most of the coins in it). It is one of the few that did CAC. We were blown away by the coins intense booming luster. Also its unquestionable originality. Everything else about the coin is great too! The surfaces are clean and are smooth. Any wear is light and you need a glass to see it. There are NO discolorations. The color of the coin is a mixture of lavender/pewter/pale tangerine and is quite lively and lovely. Miss Liberty and the details are actually frosty and have really great strikes. In fact, if it were just a little more struck up, it could be a MS61. Its still a really great looking Bust Dollar!

PCGS 8, NGC 20, CAC 1 (the only other CAC'd AU58 for any 1798 variety is a wide date). We paid $19,265.00 out of the Hesselgesser Sale. Prior to that, a NON CAC coin sold for $17,825.00 05/11 Goldberg. We can only find possibly 5-6 coins finer. CAC has really helped the GEM AU Bust Dollar market separate the dreck. Ture GEM material does indeed trade for strong premiums. Opportunity knocks loud for any serious Bust Dollar enthusiast!

$20 1907 HR PCGS MS66 FLAT EDGE
  A MAJOR WOW FACTOR COIN!
Sold on 02/2012
As soon as we saw this coin we felt shivers down our spine. There was no way we could pass up a GEM HR looking this good!

This coin is amazingly clean and smooth. There are some very minor frost breaks-not marks you can see only if you look really hard. The surfaces are satiny and do have a booming cartwheel type luster. The color is a totally ORIGINAL deeper yellow gold. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are struck in High Relief, and yes, this coin has that monster "deep dish" appearance. The eye appeal is super too!

PCGS 38, NGC 56, CAC 9. NO CAC pieces have sold at auction prior to the FUN Sale (where this coin realized $74,750.00). A NON CAC piece sold for $97,750.00 02/11 Heritage (we're suspect it was very high end). Its been two plus years since we have owned one of these. We just could not pass this coin up on the bourse floor! This coin will be a highlight of any collection it is in.

$10 1884S PCGS MS63
  THERE ARE NONE GRADED HIGHER!
Sold on 02/2012
We all know how rare choice to GEM $10 pieces are. This date has NONE graded beyond MS63 by PCGS or NGC. That is a powerful statement as to how they do not come (nice)!

There are some very light scuffs and ticks scattered about. NONE are serious enough to focus on or reduce the grade. The surfaces actually do have a slight satiny texture. A very strong luster beams from both sides. The color is a total ORIGINAL deeper gold. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have extra sharp strikes. The eye appeal is really nice!

PCGS 9, NGC 5, CAC 2. This was the only coin to appear in auction in recent years-it brought $7,187.50 12/11 Heritage. If a better coin ever appears, we need it and we will pay strong to get it!!!!

  A BALL OF LUSTER!
Sold on 02/2012
We have not handled one of these in over two years. They are not as easy to find nice as you think!

Overall, this coin is super clean. If you are a perfectionist: there is a thin teenie cut on the face and a mark on the eagle-NONE too serious to harm the grade or looks. A full booming luster whos off totally ORIGINAL snowy white surfaces. There is a thin pinch of reddish gold in the upper left rim area. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 261, NGC 88, CAC 19. The last PCGS/CAC piece that sold in major auction brought $5,750.00 08/2011 Heritage. We bought this coin really right, and will pass the deal on to you!

  GREAT BALLS OF LUSTER!
Sold on 02/2012
For an O Mint, this coin is on fire! It has nearly blinding full booming luster. There are just a few VERY teenie and trivial ticks/lines scattered about. The coin could use a new holder, but why give up an old green tag. The surfaces do have slight traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. her cheek will please the pickiest "old time" collector who demands perfection. This looks more like a P Mint than a O Mint. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 200, NGC 39, CAC 25. After 25+ years of operations, PCGS has graded NONE higher. The last PCGS/CAC piece to sell at auction brought $2,530.00 09/2011 Heritage. Opportunity knocks loud here!

  SUPERB!
Sold on 02/2012
Love this SUPERB GEM!

The mirrors are deep, clean, and have powerful reflectivity. A very light hint of tissue paper toning can be detected. The coin does look glassy and is NOT dull. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is very nice!

PCGS 170, NGC 220, CAC 27. The last two PCGS/CAC coins that sold in auction brought: $2,530.00 12/11 Heritage and $2,070.00 08/11 Heritage. Fortunately, we bought this coin right and are NOT an auction!

  SUPER GLASSY MIRRORS!
Sold on 02/2012
We like the + when used correctly. In this case, the + is correct! This is a VERY highend GEM!

Only a few INVISIBLE small lines scattered about keep this coin from grading a full PR65. The mirrors are super clean, deep, crystal clear, and have powerful reflectivity. They look like a fresh sheet of glass. There is NO toning anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and have light frost. The eye appeal is really super!

ONLY 755 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 56, NGC 55, CAC 2 (ALL pops are for regular PR 64). This is the ONLY + at either PCGS or NGC).

50C 1865 PCGS MS66
  AN EXTRAORDINARY COIN!
Sold on 02/2012
We consider this coin to be totally remarkable! It unquestionably ranks among the FINEST known. The quality is slightly better than the other PCGS MS66 (and that coin is no slouch). For us, this coin was love at first sight!

Smooth and satiny surfaces are clean overall. There is only one small tick hidden in the right field (which is the only thing to keep this coin from MS67 or 66+). A surprisingly strong full booming luster shows off the surfaces and colors. Both sides start with a band of electric royal blue then blend into a lilac/lavender/tangerine centers. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have extra strong crisp frost. The eye appeal is totally jaw dropping and sensational! Mother nature did an incredible job here. Everything is totally ORIGINAL and this piece has NEVER been messed with.

PCGS 1, NGC 1, CAC 3. The other CAC coin sold for $19,550.00 in 11/10 B+M sale. That was just too cheap. This piece is also in an old green tag holder. PCGS has only graded a MS66+ higher.

Legend Numismatics is proud to own and offer this magnificent rarity/GEM coin from the Civil War era for your consideration.

50C 1850O PCGS MS65

Sold on 02/2012
When we first saw this GEM we couldn't believe our eyes. This is a virtually perfect specimen. Think about it-thats 162 years with out being touched or messed with. Monster impressive!

Shimmering semi prooflike mirrors cover surfaces that are also intensely lustrous. There are hardly any marks visible-even with a strong glass. The color combo is a rich but very vibrant totally ORIGINAL navy/brown/royal blue/gold mix. Miss Liberty and the details are absolutely needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is sensational!

PCGS 4, NGC 6, CAC 3 (CAC has NONE higher). PCGS has graded only 2 coins higher. A different PCGS/CAC specimen sold in auction for $14,950.00 11/10 B+M. We can't stress enough the exceptional rarity ANY GEM MS65 Half from the 1850's offers. Opportunity can't knock any louder here!

For a sneak peak, go to PCGS cert verification: 25563869. The coin DOES look much better in person!
