1C 1856 PCGS PR65BN SLANTED 5
  LOOKS PERFECT!
Sold on 06/2010
What an incredible store of value and history! This is one of three ex Martin Logies/Cardinal Collection (not on the holder) Superb GEM Proofs we have recently purchased.

No matter how picky you are, this coin will more then impress you. Both sides offer splendid deep, clear, clean, and slightly reflective mirrors. There are NO spots or stains. The color is a rich chocolate with hints of violet/red/blue. Miss Liberty and the details are incredibly struck and stand out. The eye appeal of this GEM is pretty neat.

Only 100 were ever minted. PCGS 5, NGC 3, CAC 3.

5C 1912S PCGS MS65
  HIGH END+INCREDIBLY COLORED!
Sold on 06/2010
WOW, WOW,WOW! This is one of our all time favorite 1912S pieces. We have only seen one other coin that is similar. This has AWESOME killer toning and is of VERY high end quality!

A surprisingly strong luster shimmers and glows from both sides. You can clearly seen clean and smooth surfaces. Only under magnification can you see some stray teenie hairlines. The colors are a circular reddish gold with neon like lilac/blue centers. You do not have to tilt the coin to see them. Miss Liberty and the details are virtually fully struck. You do not need a glass to see the corn on the reverse. The eye appeal is incredible!

PCGS 95, NGC 87, CAC 7. PCGS has graded 8 higher and those go for $25,000.00 and up (we have only seen 2 in the past decade). This is not a coin for a price buyer. This is a coin for someone who LOVES color!

This coin is posted at our BEST price!

$20 1913 PCGS MS64+ EX SIMPSON COLLECTION
  A TRUE HANDPICKED MS64+!!!
Sold on 06/2010
Ex Simpson Collection-one of the greatest collections ever formed. Until we purchased the MS65 at the Ft. Worth ANA Auction, this was the actual coin in Mr. Simpson's #1 ranked MS Saint set. The only reason why he is selling it is to make room for more coins!

The quality is what you'd expect-true high end. Mr Simpson is particular about quality and eye appeal. Only a few minor teenie ticks are scattered about and can be detected with a glass. An intense luster also shows of beautiful orangy/gold colored surfaces. There are NO spots or discolorations. And CAC verifies this coin has NOT been messed with. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are really exceptionally struck (no flatness visible). The eye appeal is terrific!

We do not have + pops, so we will quote regular pops: PCGS 315, NGC 185, CAC 10. We paid $69,000.00 for the coin that replaced this. Duplicate coins this nice are something Legend loves to buy back (which we did here). Nice coins never go out out style!

$1 1921 PEACE DOLLAR PCGS MS66 EX SIMPSON
  A FANTASTIC BLAST WHITE GEM!
Sold on 06/2010
Ex Simpson Collection-one of the greatest collections ever assembled! This is a powerful flashy white GEM!

The highlight of this frosty GEM has to be its ultra intense and nearly blinding luster. There are a few teenie ticks scattered around, but the luster really makes the coin pop. The obverse is completely white, while the reverse has just a hidden blush of gold. As with most of these cool coins, the "deep dish" appearance looks grand. Miss Liberty and and the details are exceedingly well struck and you can see all the Eagles leg feathers. The eye appeal is real flashy!

PCGS 147, NGC 105, CAC 10.

This coin is far superior to the typical dull and crusty toned MS66's you will typically see.

$2.5 1928 PCGS MS64+ EX SIMPSON COLLECTION
  PLEASING APPEARANCE!
Sold on 06/2010
Ex: Simpson Collection-one of the all time greatest collections ever assembled.

Not your typical baggy 1928. This coin has never been messed with in any way. The surfaces have a few teenie ticks but appear clean. A strong luster shows off a light two color pattern. There are No spots or discolorations. All of the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is very pleasing!

PCGS 1265, NGC 2238, CAC 44.

$1 1886S PCGS MS66PL EX SIMPSON COLLECTION
  AN AMAZING SPECIMEN!
Sold on 06/2010
Ex Simpson Collection-one of the finest coin collections ever assembled! Yep, he bought killer Morgans too! This coin should have been awarded a + by PCGS. We have NEVER seen another 86S like it!

Both sides blaze with 4"+++ mirrors that just have the ultimate in reflectivity. They also lack the typical die polishing lines. We have seen lesser coins called DMPL many times. The surface are amazingly clean and have an intense luster. There are ZERO problems to be found-and this coin clearly has never been messed with. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have full strikes. her cheek is super clean and rounded. They stand out boldly. The eye appeal of this SUPERB GEM is so tremendous it will knock you out!

PCGS 4, NGC 1, CAC 1. We unhesitatingly crown this coin the FINEST 86S PL.

Note: the blast and flash may not appear well from their image. This is a MUST see coin!

$2.5 1929 PCGS MS64 EX SIMPSON COLLECTION
  ABOVE AVERAGE FOR THE DATE!
Sold on 06/2010
EX Simpson Collection-one of the greatest collections ever formed. This actually was the coin in his $2.5 Indian set until we paid $54,625.00 for the PCGS MS66 at the Ft. Worth ANA Show. We were surprised it did not receive a + from PCGS.

This is an above average coin. Only a few very teenie ticks are scattered about. The surfaces look smooth and have a bold luster. There is also a gorgeous moderate two tone orange/deep gold color scheme. There are NO spots. ALL of the details are frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is fabulous!

PCGS 1332, NGC 2122, CAC 56. Note: the last one of these that sold in major auction brought $1,725.00 4/10 Heritage.

10C 1876CC PCGS PR66 BM
  UNIQUE!
Sold on 06/2010
You can not find a rarer coin than this! This is the ONLY PROOF 76CC 10C in existence. Some specimens exist (struck from the same dies), but they clearly are NOT Proofs (and they trade for about $50,000.00 in SP 65). We seized the opportunity to out right purchase this amazing classic rarity when it was merely mentioned in passing. It sure looks better than any regular 1876 PR 10C we have seen!

Both sides have the ultimate in deep mirrors. They are crystal clear, perfect (not a single tick), and have incredible powerful reflectivity. An even mix of pale navy/rose/pale olive colors even swirl on both sides. Most important to identify it as a proof-the strike is unquestionably needle sharp and struck up. The flash of this coin really makes it look awesome!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1.

The last time this coin sold in a public auction was back in 2008 Superior. It brought $178,250.00. In today's heated marketplace, no telling how much it could bring in auction! All it lacks is the story. If it had spent for ice cream or was made late at night, we could see the value if this piece being almost $2,000,000.00. Or, you can compare it to the UNIQUE 1873CC 10C PCGS MS65 that is unquestionably worth $1,000,000.00! We are perplexed as to why it is not worth at least $500,000.00. Legend Numismatics is pleased to own and offer this amazing rarity to our collector friends.

  GORGEOUS COLOR RINGS!
Sold on 06/2010
A true PR67 in every respect!

Shimmering deep, crystal clear, clean, and powerfully reflective mirrors adorn both sides. The holder has more lines on it than the coin! A thin ring of electric violet/blue/gold frames only the obverse rims. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!

Only 912 pieces were minted. PCGS 6, NGC 14, CAC 3.
