1C 1814 PCGS AU58 PLAIN 4
LOOKS BETTER THAN SOME MS PIECES!
Sold on 08/2012
As we like to say, this coin is a SUPERB GEM AU! This coin resided in a dealers personal collection.

You have to use a VERY strong glass to detect the slightest traces of wear (and we are still not sure there is wear). The surfaces have some old very teenie scattered ticks, but NOTHING serious or really visible. In fact, they really look smooth and have a surprising luster. The color is a totally ORIGINAL rich brown. There is NO staining. Miss Liberty and the details are problem free and are well struck. The eye appeal is sensational for an 1814!

PCGS 11, NGC 5, CAC 3. The last one to sell in major auction brought $8,050.00 4/12 Heritage. No mater how picky you are, you will NOT be disappointed with this coin!

$20 1928 PCGS MS66+
  A CRISP SUPERB GEM!
Sold on 08/2012
CAC is so tough on how it deems these coins worthy fo a green bean. GOOD!

Both sides are almost tick free. There are one or two scattered about, but NONE are serious. Even with a glass there are NO lines. A super strong luster shows off beautiful ORIGINAL yellow blush/orange gold colors. There are NO spots. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 2726, NGC 1789, CAC 207. PCGS has graded 58 MS66+. The current WHOLESALE sightUNSEEN BID is $3,875.00. Keep in mind, the next step up costs $16,000.00 (see the next coin listed).

$5 1914 PCGS MS64
ALMOST AS NICE AS OUR MS64+!
Sold on 08/2012
Only some faint lines and light ticks keep this coin from a MS64+ designation. Overall, it does have a high end look!

Not your average MS64. This coin actually has satiny and smooth looking surfaces. Only with a strong glass can you detect anything. A strong luster shows off beautiful ORIGINAL gold colors. There are NO spots. ALL of the details are frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 254, NGC 194, CAC 27. These are not as common as you might think. The next step up costs $15-$17,500.00 if you can find one!

  A BLAZING WHITE GEM!
Sold on 08/2012
SUPER HIGH END! An amazing coin when you can find these with some flash and frost like this piece has!

Both sides are a blazing ball of snowy white. The surfaces are clean and smooth. A full booming luster can be seen from across the room. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. You do NOT need a glass to clearly see the rivets. A small toning dot can be see in the O of OF on the reverse. The eye appeal is fantastic!

10C 1796 PCGS MS61
  A REAL MS!
Sold on 08/2012
Most important, this is NOT an AU58 in an MS61 holder. This is a real MS piece!

The surfaces are fairly clean overall. You need a glass to see a little planchet roughness and some light die clashing (as made). There are hints of prooflike mirrors. A strong luster does show off the white surfaces. There is a hint of gold around the stars. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have good strikes. The flatness you see on the eagle on the reverse is NOT wear-it lack of striking pressure resulting in a "weak spot"> VERY common on coins like this. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 5, NGC 4, CAC 2. NO PCGS /CAC MS61's have sold at auction. Also, keep in mind, this coin is closer to an MS62 than to an MS60! Opportunity knocks if you collect Early Bust Dimes!

$1 1921S PCGS MS66
  AN AMAZING SPECIMEN!
Sold on 08/2012
Finding a correctly graded really nice example of these is almost impossible! We do know that John Albanese considers this coin to be among the finest he has ever seen (and us too). If you notice, to date, CAC has not stickered many of these.

First, this coin has an amazing full booming luster. You can swirl the coin all day just to watch the extreme glow! The surfaces are virtually perfect. There is a teenie tick on the reverse you can see only w/a glass. Both sides are evenly covered by a light pewter/pale navy color. This is definitely NOT a dull or drab coin. Miss Liberty and the details are as fully struck and frosty as you will ever see for 1921S. The eye appeal is tremendous!

PCGS 26, NGC 54, CAC 6. The last one to sell in major auction was a PCGS NON CAC piece. It bought $12,650.00 1/11 Heritage. With CAC being so strict on these, this represents a strong opportunity. We doubt you'll see many more with beans!

50C 1936 PCGS PR66
  SUPERB!
Sold on 08/2012
There were maybe 4 or 5 of these in the group we bought-at least one did NOT sticker. Still waiting on the others. There was no large group of these to being with.

Can't beat a well mirrored Early Walker. For a 1936, the mirrors are extra deep, have great clarity, are clean, and have strong reflectivity. The color is a lively silvery white-there is not even a hint of haze. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and boldly stand out. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 242, NGC 334, CAC 47. The last PCGS/CAC piece to sell in a major auction brought $4,887.50 03/2012 Heritage and another brought $5,462.50 03/2012 as well. There is a so/so NON CAC piece for sale now by a West Coast dealer for $5,250.00. We have priced this coin super fair.

  CLOSE TO FULL MS65!
Sold on 08/2012
We think the color (and a few lines) are actually what holds this coin back from grading full MS65 (NO guarantees).

Lightly semi-prooflike mirrors adorn the obverse. Both sides have a decent luster. There are virtually NO problems to be found other than some light stray lines. The color is a totally ORIGINAL deep pewter/steel gray with hints of pale blue. Miss Liberty and the details are incredibly struck. You really do not need a glass to view this coin with. The eye appeal is pleasing.

PCGS 7, NGC 1, CAC 2. The last one of these that sold in major auction was a non CAC piece. It brought $3,910.00 4/2008 B+M. No question this is a tougher date to find in MS.

A SUPERB GEM ALL THE WAY!
Sold on 07/2012
The mirrors on this remarkable GEM are so clear you can see your pearly whites from across the room!

Both sides explode with incredibly deep, crystal clear, clean, and incredibly reflective mirrors. There is not a hint of haze or toning. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. They have a light coating of silvery white frost. The eye appeal is like the quality: AWESOME!

PCGS 689, NGC 879, CAC 155. We have SEVERAL identical coins in stock!

Definatly a PR65++. The mirrors are icy clear, have great cleanlines, and are highly reflective. A thin light shade of ORIGINAL lively gold covers both sides. Miss Liberty and the detaisl are very sharply struck. This is a beautiful coin!
