$1 1880CC 8/LOW 7 PCGS MS66+
ULTRA HIGH END-THE FINEST GRADED BY PCGS!
Sold on
10/2011
We really love this coin! In fact we were blown away by it when we first saw it!
Dramatic semi-prooflike surfaces also emit a full booming luster. Most impressive is how impeccably clean and sleek they are. Only with a glass can you detect a tick or two and a few die polishing lines. Both sides are a awesome snowy white. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. Her cheek will please the pickiest of old time (perfect cheek) perfectionists. The eye appeal will blow you away too!
PCGS 31, NGC 10, CAC 6 (ALL). This is the ONLY 66+ graded by PCGS. It is also the highest graded after 25+years of operations!

25C 1903O PCGS MS66
A FRESH AND TOTALLY ORIGINAL GEM!
Sold on
10/2011
We do not typically buy GEM MS Barbers. This coin knocked us off our feet! We rarely see them so fresh and totally ORIGINAL.
Outrageous clean and satiny surfaces are loaded with a thick yet booming luster (for an 03O). A beautiful mix of moderate but pretty "old time" multi colors swirls all over. Miss Liberty and the details are actually lightly frosted and have super sharp strikes. The eye appeal is super!
PCGS 4, NGC 1, CAC 2. PCGS has graded only ONE coin higher. The last one of these to sell at major auction brought $7,763.00 08/2010 Stacks. As far as we know, this coin did not come from any auction and had been bought raw by the dealer who slabbed it.
While not an MS68 dazzler, this coin is a real treat for MS Barber fans.

ONE FO THE FINEST 1806 50C!!
Sold on
10/2011
How nice is this GEM? Lets just say we passed on the MS66 (and we had an open budget to buy it if we liked it). No question this coin is well worthy of its +. It certainly was close to full MS66!
Amazing smooth surfaces have NO flaws any where of any size. A surprising and mind boggling booming luster shows off stunning colors. Gorgeous shades of royal blue/gold/tangerine/violet swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal will make your jaw drop!
PCGS 5, NGC 1, CAC 2 (ALL). This is the ONLY MS65+ PCGS has graded of this 205 year old coin. There has not been a CAC MS65 that sold in any auction. The MS66 SOLD for in excess of $250,000.00. Opportunity knocks loud here!

J- 971 50C 1870 PCGS PR64RB DENALI
GORGEOUS COLOR!
Sold on
10/2011
This is a very rare R-7 (4-6 minted). It is struck in copper. The quality is VERY high end.
Ultra deep mirrors are super clean. They are partially covered by a eye popping mix of ORIGINAL mint red/royal blue/green/pale gold colors. There are NO defects and its hard to see why this coin is just a PR64. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is tremendous! PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. Only the Simpson coin is finer. This also is the only graded piece we could find any record of. The Judd book estimates these at $5,000.00 in 63 and $9,000.00 in PR65. Opportunity knocks loud here!

$2.5 1840 PCGS MS64
TIED FOR FINEST GRADED!
Sold on
10/2011
This remarkable piece is one of our all time favorite $2.5's. It is unparalleled in quality and rarity.
Boldly semi-prooflike mirrors and a powerful luster give this coin surprising flash. Under a glass, you can detect a few very teenie hits. Overall, the coin does appear clean. both sides are covered by a beautiful yellow gold color. There are No spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck-for a 1840 (there is normal flatness on the eagles left leg). The eye appeal is tremendous!
PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 1. This coin last appeared in auction 10/10 where it sold for $29,900.00 Heritage. Why this coin isn't worth $50,000.00 remains a mystery to us. After 25+ years PCGS/NGC certainly have seen NONE finer! And if this coin weren't all there and then some, CAC would not have stickered it.
Legend Numismatics is proud to own and offer this amazing GEM to collectors.

1C 1858 PCGS PR65 LARGE LETTERS
SUPERB IN EVERY RESPECT!
Sold on
10/2011
This coin is a rock solid PR65.
Only under a strong glass (if you dig deep) can you find a partial thin line or two and a toning dot or two. Overall, this coin is clean and flashy. The mirrors have decent depth and strong reflectivity. A small swatch of golden brown toning forms a line across the obverse. There are splashes of color on the reverse. No question this coin is unmolested and is totally ORIGINAL. Every detail is frosty and has a needle sharp strike. The eye appeal is terrific!
ONLY 80 pieces were minted. PCGS 15, NGC 11, CAC 13. This was the coin that sold for $32,200.00 04/2008 Heritage. They have come down a little bit since then.

50C 1918 LINCOLN PCGS MS65+ GUTTAG
The ONLY thing that keeps this coin from a an MS66+ is a small LIGHT half line or two in the right field. Otherwise, this coin is super clean. Both sides have an intense booming luster that shows off light natural golden toning. You can easily say the coin is mostly silvery white. Lincoln and all of the details are frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal of this coin is totally GEMMY! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
