$1 1798 PCGS AU58 B-27 BB-113
  A SUPERB GEM AU58!
Sold on 11/2012
This coin is one of the highlights of our purchases from the Baltimore show. It does rival ANY MS 61! The quality is VERY HIGH END!

We'd bet that back in the old days-before certification this coin at one time was sold as "choice BU". It DOES have the look. the surfaces are remarkably clean and have a satiny texture. Under a glass, only a few teeny lines are visible. A surprisingly strong luster shows off totally ORIGINAL pale purple/deep pewter/golden brown/pale navy colors. There is no splotchy or dullness to the colors. Miss Liberty and the details are hard pressed to point out the wear. There is NO discoloration on the high points. ALL of the details stand out with exceptional bold strikes. The eye appeal is jaw dropping fantastic!

PCGS 7, NGC 19, CAC 3. The last one of these to sell in a major auction brought $19,283.00 09/11 Goldberg (it was NOT this coin). In MS61 (which this coin really does look like) a coin would cost you OVER $30,000.00-if you can ever find a nice one since CAC has beaned NONE.

Legend Numismatics is proud to own and offer this magnificent 214 year old dollar.

  SUPERB COLOR!
Sold on 11/2012
Love this coins color and quality!

Super flashy, deep, clear, and clean mirrors really pack some powerful reflectivity. With a strong glass you can't find any imperfections. A super mix of ORIGINAL royal blue/rose/violet/gold/pale forest green colors all swirl wildly over both sides. The toning is slightly irregular-and there are NO finger pints! Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. This coin was plucked from an original proof set recently (not by us). You can tell how fresh and cherry the coin is. The eye appeal is really spectacular!

PCGS 25, NGC 44, CAC 9. Hard to believe no CAC's have sold at auction. Finding ANY nice GEM PROOF TD is harder than you think!

$20 1924 PCGS MS66
  A SEMI-PROOFLIKE PIECE!
Sold on 11/2012
To quote the famous Monty Python statement "and for something completely different"!

Not only do we have a beautiful MS66 Saint here to offer, but this Saint is really semi prooflike, almost fully prooflike! Its looks more like a super intense luster until you twirl the coin and see hints of prooflike mirrors (especially in the upper right field) . Overall, the surfaces do have a teenie tick or two but appear clean. The color is a moderate orange gold. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The appeal is tremendous!

Keep in mind our sightUNSEEN WHOLESALE BID is $3,750.00.

Sold on 11/2012
VERY HIGH END! Close to Cameo.

This is an intense piece. The mirrors are miles deep and have awesome clarity. They are as clean and highly reflective as you can imagine. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have beautiful silvery white frost. The eye appeal is stunning!

  GREAT BALLS OF LUSTER!
Sold on 11/2012
This spectacular GEM is VERY HIGH END! Just a few teeny ticks away from MS67 (we do NOT grade the coin MS67)!

Incredibly smooth and clean surfaces explode with a huge ball of booming luster. There are NO spots. Both sides are a gorgeous ORIGINAL pale two tone orange/yellow gold color. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is jaw dropping!

PCGS 23, NGC 18 in MS66+. The last PCGS/CAC piece that sold in auction brought $4,313.00 06/12 Heritage. Keep in mind, that next step up costs at least $13,000.00-if you can ever find one. Opportunity knocks loud here!

  SUPERB!
Sold on 11/2012
After handling over 15,000 MS 65+ Walkers, we know this is not an easy date to find in MS66 and higher.

Only a teenie and well hidden reeding mark keeps this coin from an easy MS67+. The surfaces are smooth and clean overall. A strong luster shows off delicate ORIGINAL gold/pale blue toning. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have extra sharp strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 58, NGC 85, CAC 20. Do not be fooled by the pop reports, this is a very difficult coin to find in SUPERB GEM!

  STUNNING PERIPHERIAL COLORS!
Sold on 11/2012
Typically we prefer MS65 and higher for a date like this. But this coin just stood out so much we had to buy it!

The quality is SUPER HIGH END! The reverse is full MS65. Only a few frost breaks/ticks from full MS65. The surfaces overall are slightly semi-prooflike and have a monster intense full booming luster. Both sides are framed by a thin band of ORIGINAL neon blue/violet gold colors. Miss Liberty and the details are fully frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal really is spectacular!

PCGS 67, NGC 28, CAC 169 (all). The last 91CC PCGS MS64+ to sell in major auction brought $1,610.00 06/2012-and we know the coin did not look anywhere as cool as this! Next step up for a PCGS/CAC piece is $5,000.00.

  SUPERB!
Sold on 11/2012
Not a date offered in MS67 as often as 80S or 81S.

This coin has an intense booming luster. Traces of semi-prooflike mirrors reveal only a tiny and scattered tick or two. The coin is an ORIGINAL creamy white. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. Her cheek is super clean. The eye appeal is fantastic!

  REALLY DEEP MIRRORS!
Sold on 11/2012
At first glance (and the second glance too) this coin looks like a Proof! It does have mirrors that are that deep.

Remarkable 8"+++ mirrors are ULTRA deep, have ULTRA clarity, and are ULTRA reflective. What keeps this dazzling coin from a 66DMPL-a few teenie weenie ticks scattered about. This is NOT a hacked up coin. Rarely do we see 1881S with mirrors this deep and clear. A thin band of gold frames the outer rims only. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted a silvery white and have FULL strikes. The eye appeal is heart pounding! We consider this a silvery cameo.

PCGS 223, NGC 317, CAC 21. We paid a substantial premium for this coin. We rarely ever see 81S DMPL's like this anymore. Also, it is housed in an older green tag holder.

  DEEP WATERY MIRRORS!
Sold on 11/2012
This is the way many people (including us) prefer them: crystal clear and deep watery mirrors. There is not a hint of toning or haze. The color is a bright silvery white. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. Not such an easy date to find!

PCGS 159, NGC 227, CAC 59. The last one to sell in a major auction brought $676.00 08/2012 Heritage.
