Item - 8890
$5 1874CC PCGS AU58
  A SUPERB GEM AU!!!
Sold on 04/2013
This awesome piece was consigned to our Legend-Morphy Feb sale by one of the largest and pickiest CC collectors. We can't imagine what he upgraded to, but we did fall madly in love with this coin and had to own it! It is far superior to 99% of ALL CC $5 Libs we see!

This date typically comes flat, dull, and just nasty looking but this coin blows away the competition! The surfaces are outrageous! They are satiny yet have a subtle trace of semi-Prooflike mirrors. Only a few thin lines can be found, but no hits. There actually is some luster and the colors are totally ORIGINAL. The obverse is a frosty yellow gold while the reverse is a slightly deeper orange color. There are NO spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details boldly stand out with sharp frosty strikes. There is NO visible wear. The eye appeal is super. We can't imagine even the pickiest collector not loving this GEM AU58 74-CC!

PCGS 7, NGC 11, CAC 2. PCGS has only graded 2 coins higher after 25+ years of operations. One sold for $27,025.00 (8/12 Heritage) and this coin realized $25,300.00 in our Legend-Morphy Feb Sale. Opportunity knocks loud here!

This coin is just the way you want your stunning GEM PR Walker to be!

Both sides have deep, crystal clear, super clean, and highly reflective mirrors. There is not one mico hintof haze anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is tremendous!

We can't belieev these are still below $1,000.00

5C 1887 PCGS PR65 CAMEO
  GORGEOUS!
Sold on 04/2013
VERY HIGH END quality!

Only a small HIDDEN tick/scuff keeps this coin from being an easy PR66 Cameo. In fact, for an 1887, it actually borders on DCameo. The mirrors are deep, crystal clear, clean, and have bold reflectivity. They look like a fresh sheet of glass. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have nice frosting. The eye appeal is fabulous!

PCGS 8, NGC 7, CAC 3. NO CAC has ever sold at auction, and the last 1887 Cameo to sell in auction was waaaaay back in 2006! A PR66 CAC sold for $4,113.00 (10/12). Opportunity knocks loud here!

50C 1836 REEDED EDGE PCGS PR64 CAMEO
  A MONSTER GEM PROOF!
Sold on 04/2013
Collectors are lucky we don't retire and just start buying up great coins. This might be the coin that makes us do it! This PHENOMENAL coin is every bit as rare (or rarer) than an 1894-S 10C (mintage 24) or even an 1804 $1 (mintage 10). Yet, it has never attained the pricing greatness. We shake our heads at the great opportunity this piece represents!

The quality is PHENOMENAL! The ONLY thing that keeps this coin from grading a full PR65 CAMEO are light die polishing lines which are all mint made and invisible to the naked eye. The mirrors are similar to what you'd see on a Barber proof! They are super deep, clean, have amazing clarity, and of course have killer reflectivity. A PHENOMENAL light mix of ORIGINAL gold/pale lilac swirls all over. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted a silvery white and needle sharp in strike. Like everything else about this coin, the eye appeal is PHENOMENAL!

Only 12 coins were ever minted. PCGS 2, NGC 1, CAC 2. There is only ONE PR64+ Cameo graded higher. The ONLY PR64 Cameo to ever cross the auction block did so in 2006, and realized $52,900.00. The current Collectors Universe Value is $93,500.00. Why isn't this PHENOMENAL coin worth $150,000.00 or even $250,000.00? Only time will adjust the rarity factor and pricing issues this coin suffers!

Legend Numismatics is proud to own and offer this PHENOMENAL GEM! We do most highly recommend it for any collector or anyone looking to put away a coin for the long term.

$1 1924 PCGS MS67
  SUPERB IN EVERY RESPECT!
Sold on 04/2013
This is a wonderful SUPERB GEM!

Both sides are super satiny. An amazing, Morgan Dollar-like full booming luster beams from all over. The surfaces are clean and satiny with ORIGINAL white/pale gold colors. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is fabulous!

PCGS 23, NGC 84, CAC 6. We have triple checked the auction records and NO PCGS CAC piece has ever sold at auction. The last PCGS piece to sell at auction was back in 4/11, which brought $6,900.00. 1924 PCGS/CAC MS67 Peace Dollars are far harder to find than you think!

Here is something interesting: a 1922 PCGS/CAC (POP 21 PCGS, POP 8 CAC) is already at $10,000.00 in the upcoming Heritage sale. NON CAC 1922s have brought $9,775.00. These stats more than prove that 1924 MS67s are both hard to find and good deals! Also, this is a fresh coin to the market and is in an older green tag holder!

3CS 1869 PCGS PR66
  ULTRA HIGH END!
Sold on 04/2013
No one knows PR 3CS as well as we do! Having built the top 2 ALL TIME FINEST SETS EVER (the Legend set is #1) we know how these should come. When we saw this coin, we graded it PR66+, maybe even 67! Nope, PCGS showed us we were wrong (more than once)!

After carefully examining this coin with a powerful glass, we found a tiny planchet flake around 1:00 on the obverse which may be what is keeping it from 66+. Otherwise, we don't see ANY problems. The mirrors are deep, amazingly clarity, and highly reflective. Both sides are a gorgeous ORIGINAL navy/blue color that's a little deeper but NOT black or dull. Every detail is frosted and has a sharp strike. The eye appeal is phenomenal!

ONLY 600 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 18, NGC 20, CAC 3. Hard to believe, but NO PCGS/CAC has ever sold at auction. We're actually selling this at a slight loss, especially when you include the multiple grading fees! If you are building a GEM PR Set, let us help. We have the access and the experience to build you one of the greatest sets!

  PRETTY COLORS!
Sold on 04/2013
Besides being VERY pretty and high end, this coin also seems like a great value!

Deep and flashy mirrors shows off pretty clean and clear surfaces. A totally ORIGINAL mix of olive/green/gold/blue/violet colors swirls all over. There is actually some light contrast with Miss Liberty being FULLY struck and have thick toned over frost. The eye appeal is excellent!

ONLY 551 were ever minted. PCGS 57, NGC 57, CAC 5.

50C 1941D PCGS MS67
  SUPERB IN EVERY RESPECT!
Sold on 04/2013
At first we thought there was problem in the dreaded right field, but no! It was just a small scuff on the holder! This coin is super clean and a real MS67!

Satiny smooth surfaces are lustrous and problem free. The color is a totally ORIGINAL creamy white. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have extra sharp strikes. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 162, NGC 175, CAC 47. If you really think about it, these pops are not that common. The last of these to sell in a major auction brought $1,116.00 (1/13 Heritage) and this coin will meet or beat that coin's qualities!

$5 1909 PCGS MS65+
  A REAL MS65+!
Sold on 04/2013
Clearly this coin went from the Mint, to the bank, to someones safe storage for over 104 years!

We think this coin just sat somewhere undisturbed. There are practically NO lines or scuffs that typically plague the reverse. The obverse is also super clean and smooth. Both sides offer a warm bold luster. The color is an even pale ORIGINAL orange gold. There are NO spots or discolorations. All of the details are VERY well struck and have light frost. This coin is a picky buyers dream! And its has great eye appeal too.

PCGS 88, NGC 68, CAC 11. There are only TWO MS65+ graded by PCGS. The other one sold for $14,375.00 back in 08/11 Heritage. That was then, try and find one now! A PCGS/CAC MS66 would cost you $30,000.00 if you could ever get the ONE coin beaned.

  SUPERB!
Sold on 04/2013
These 23-Ds come with a pretty awesome look. They are part sleek, part satiny. This coin is intensely lustrous and with smooth surfaces. Just a tiny scattered tick or two can be seen. Both sides burst with sunny deep yellow gold color. There are NO spots. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 1513, NGC 845, CAC 193. The current sight UNSEEN WHOLESALE BID dropped all of $50.00 to $3,700.00. Load us up with PCGS/CAC W/M at that price!

This coin is housed in an older green tag holder
