10C 1856O PCGS MS65 ELIASBERG
A SOLID MS 65!
Sold on
07/2010
A VERY rare and VERY undervalued date in GEM. This coin has a tremendous pedigree: Eliasberg. Plus, with CAC beaning it, you know its not been messed with.
We believe this coin has never been dipped. It does have original white color along with very light shadows of toning. An intense luster shows off only MINOR planchet flaws and some tiny abrasions. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is terrific!
PCGS 2, NGC 6, CAC 1. Only PCGS has a single MS66 piece. Even in MS64, there are ONLY 8 pieces graded by PCGS. After 21+ years of operations, this coin has proved to be almost unobtainable in GEM! They just do not come that nice looking. The great rarity of this date in GEM can not be over hyped! Opportunity is doing more than just knocking here.

$1 1883O PCGS MS65
DEEP RAINBOW COLORS!
Sold on
07/2010
WOW! Over 2/3 of the obverse are covered by spectacular deep rainbow waves of color!
The technical quality of the coin is a solid MS65 all day long. There are are a few tennie ticks, but they do NOT stand out or make this a low end coin.
The color is true burlap bag rainbow type. Waves of deep magenta/aqua green/violet/baby blue/amber all burst from the obverse. If you use a glass, you can see burlap dots on Miss Lib's forehead. The reverse is white with a small area of baby blue/gold color. A bold luster also shows off sharply struck details. The eye appeal will make your jaw drop!
We are pricing this at a super fair level-THIS COIN IS POSTED AT OUR BEST PRICE!

$1 1892 PCGS MS65 SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON
SENSATIONAL!
Sold on
07/2010
SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON COLLECTION. Even without color, finding an NICE true MS65 1892 is VERY hard these days. This coin could actually fit in a white set as well.
Hard to believe but the best Sunnywood could do for the date was this coin. The color is in a thin band that frames the rims only. In that thin band are electric blue/violet/russet colors. The centers are white. An intense luster adds to the drama.
Even though this is in the new PCGS Secure Plus holder, and does not have a +, we strongly call this coin VERY High End. There are NO real marks visible. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. Even if you are the pickiest Morgan collector, this coin WILL impress you!
PCGS 215, NGC 85, CAC 8. PCGS has graded only TWO coins higher after 20+ years of operations.
For what ever reason, this coin is still pictured in the Sunnywood/Simpson registry set. This coin is listed at our BEST price!

If you demand sheer perfection, then check this amazing GEM out!
Even when using the most powerful glass and looking every where multiple times, you will find NO problems. The color is a nickel/faint golden brown which is nicely enhanced by a decent luster. Every detail is needle sharp in strike. This coin has never been messed with. It looks really nice!

J-128B Cent 1851 PCGS PR66
THE FINEST!
Sold on
07/2010
EXTREMELY RARE-this is an R-8 (2-3 known). Legend is pleased to have purchased the FINEST KNOWN example of this issue. This coin is minted in Silver, not experimental Billion.
One look and you can easily tell this coin was carefully stored since 1851. Its like the Mint sent it direct to PCGS! The ONLY lines you see are die striations which are MINT MADE (and a few on the holder). Overall, the surfaces are clean, smooth, and do have strong reflectivity. A light hint of champagne frames the peripheries. Every detail is needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is superb!
The last one to sell at a major auction was a PR63, which brought $20,700.00 07/08 Stacks. The Judd Book lists a PR65 at $35,000.00. This is one awesome opportunity for the serious pattern enthusiast!

A MARVELOUS ORIGINAL GEM!
Sold on
07/2010
EX BEAR COLLECTION (not on the holder). No question, this coin is 100% original. Just another great Bear coin!
A strong luster is the first thing you see. It really shows off superior clean and smooth surfaces. Totally original colors of honey (go figure)/pewter/reddish gold/pale navy evenly swirl on both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have bold stand out strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 42, NGC 48, CAC 2.

BEAUTIFUL LIGHT COLOR!
Sold on
07/2010
Ex Simpson Collection, one of the greatest EVER assembled!
We sold this coin to Mr. Simpson long ago when he just wanted to buy nice Dollars. Obviously, his tastes have changed.
This super high end GEM has virtually NO impairments in the fields or anywhere else. A full booming luster really lights up both sides. The color is a light blush of gold/rose and is really vibrant (you do not have to tilt the coin to see it). Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are fully struck. The eye appeal is stunning and like Mr. Simpson, you will NOT be disappointed with anything about this coin.

$1 1879S PCGS MS66 EX SONNIER
PSYCHO ART!
Sold on
07/2010
Yes, this is from the incredible Sonnier Collection of colored Morgans. We have just repurchased this coin from the original buyer. .
"Psycho art" is what we have named this electric tissue paper toned GEM. Its got neon like colors shooting out from many different areas that are squared off. This is NOT your typically patterned color Morgan! You have all the outrageous obverse rainbow shades represented: red/electric violet/amber/royal blue/gold/aqua green/pale lilac. The reverse has lilac centers with pale violet/gold rims. Besides all that wild stuff, the technical quality is all there. PCGS showed no mercy to the coins from this amazing collection!
If you missed all these coins the first go round, here is a rare second chance to buy one of the neat looking monsters from Sonnier!

HIGH END!
Sold on
07/2010
We have seen common date MS's of equal quality!
This coin is just a few teenie lines on the reverse from being a full GEM. Both sides are extremely clean and emit a strong luster. The color is a beautiful orange/gold. There are NO spots or discolorations. All of the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 593, NGC 832, CAC 12.
Keep in mind, an MS65 CAC coin is worth at least $35,000.00 if you could find either of the TWO that have been stickered!

$5 1909D PCGS MS64 EX SIMPSON
BEAUTIFUL!
Sold on
07/2010
Ex Simpson Collection. We were fortunate Mr. Simpson decided to "clean his closet" to make room for all the goodies we recently bought him and the ones we expect to buy him this ANA Show. So he sold us some of his duplicates.
This is not just an average $5 Indian. Only a gorgeous colored coin would do. And the quality had to be all there too.
Both sides are VERY clean (especially the notorious reverse) and have a great luster. There are NO spots. The color is a gorgeous two tone gold mix. All of the details are sharply struck. The quality of this piece definitely is high end.
PCGS 2249, NGC 2061, CAC 107. This coin offers a great opportunity to buy an affordable SUPERB coin from one of the greatest collections ever formed.
We have posted this coin at our BEST price!
