10C 1892-1916 PCGS MS66-68+ SIMPSON SET
THE ALL TIME #1 MS BARBER DIME SET
Sold on 09/2014
Legend Numismatics is honored to offer our friends and all collectors this amazing collection: Yes, this is the Ex Law, now Simpson MS Barber Dime Collection (#1 on the PCGS registry). Due to changing taste and believe it or not, lack of space, Mr Simpson has asked us to find this special collection a new home. This set could not be duplicated today.

Legend has exclusively built this set over a period of 20 years (we would hope the new owner would allow us to continue to be its exclusive supplier)! The very first coin we purchased for it (when it was the Law Collection) was a 1902S PCGS MS66-that is now in Legends "memories" collection. The 02S was replaced by a killer MS67. All through this sets life, we have been constantly searching for the very finest MS Barber Dimes. We have rejected pieces if we thought they were just plastic grades. EVERY coin in the Law/Simpson Dime set not only is all there and then some, but has spectacular eye appeal. Saying "WOW" is light when starting to describe the quality. Listed below are just a few random highlights (really EVERY coin in this set is a highlight):

1892O PCGS MS66+

1893 PCGS MS67+

1896O PCGS MS66+

1902O PCGS MS66+

1903S PCGS MS67

1906D PCGS MS67

1910 PCGS MS68+

1911 PCGS MS68+

1914S PCGS MS67+

ALL the coins listed above are POP 1 with NONE higher. Of course there are MANY more Pop 1's that are the finest graded. Again, EVERY coin WILL blow you away with their superior quality and eye appeal.

You may visit the complete collection on the PCGS Registry at: http://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/alltimeset.aspx?s=71629.

Do note, the majority of coins have NOT traded in many years. While researching pricing, for the most part there are NO reliable up to date sources. So you really have to estimate what a pop 1 coin purchased in 2005 would sell for today. We are offering the set at $1,350,000.00. For $3,250,000.00 (total) we would make it a wicked cool set and add the 1894S PCGS PR64 Cameo CAC. With or without the 1894S, this collection offers one heck of a once in a lifetime opportunity. Over the long term, there have been no smarter purchases in numismatics then the VERY finest with awesome eye appeal-this collection for sure has all that and then some!

Please feel free to email or call to discuss this remarkable set. We will have it on display at the ANA Show.

1C 1937 PCGS PR66RD CAMEO
  SPECTACULAR!
Sold on 09/2014
The WOW factor here is off the charts!

Superior mirrors are really ULTRA deep. They have amazing clarity, cleanliness, and of course intense reflectivity. They are so intense you are almost blinded! There are ZERO spots or color streaks. Both sides are a monster original GEM MINT RED color. Lincoln and the details are thickly frosted in a lighter red and have pinpoint sharp strikes. The eye appeal is jaw dropping!

PCGS 7, NGC 16, CAC 5. The last one of these to sell in a major auction brought $6,168.00 07/2013 Heritage. We promise, you won't see many similar offered-especially with any frequency!

10C 1796 PCGS MS66 CAC COL GREEN/NEWMAN
  OUTSTANDING!
Sold on 09/2014
This amazing and most historical coin is only for sale because it was replaced by the fully prooflike (most likely a specimen) 1796 10C that sold for $881,000.00 in the Gardner sale. As you can see, the coins former owner really was picky about their 1796 Dimes!

The quality of this piece rivals ANY! This coin was originally graded an MS66+ by NGC when in the Newman sale. This was the description in from the sale: The Eric P. Newman specimen is a sensational example with eye appeal that is second to none, exhibiting gorgeous olive-gray patina on the devices with vivid orange, violet, and steel toning nearer the borders. Heavy clash marks are noted in the fields of this piece that is the same die state as the MS64 Ed Price coin that we sold five years ago. The Newman specimen ranks high in the condition census. NGC has chosen the Newman coin to illustrate the 1796 dime on their NGC Coin Explorer website.

Nearly all known examples of JR-1 have a heavy rim break that partially covers star 1. A small number of pieces are known from a perfect obverse die, and those are invariably in low grades. Most survivors are middle die state pieces with the rim break covering two points of star 1, and with moderate clash marks in the obverse fields. The rim break remains constant in later die states as the clash marks become stronger. Census: 9 in 66 (1 in 66+), 2 finer (10/13). Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $30.00.

The only thing we can add, the coin does indeed have beautiful rings of color! Legend was the buyer out of the Newman sale on behalf of the collector. In Newman, the coin sold for $188,000.00. Opportunity knocks loud here! Its not always you get a second chance on a coin like this!

3CS 1869/8 PCGS PR66CAMEO
  A MONSTER!
Sold on 09/2014
WOW! This is one of the nicest PR 69/8's we have ever seen (and we own a PR67Cameo in our FINEST EVER set).

Powerful mirrors are deep, crystal clear, super clean, and have bold reflectivity. Even holding this coin at arms length you can see the powerful mirrors boom. A gorgeous mix of totally original blue/pale violet/pale tangerine colors circle the rims and swirl all over. Every detail is pinpoint sharp in strike and has thick creamy frost. The eye appeal is stunning!

For a PR 1869 the mintage is 600. It is estimated there are less then 25 of these over dates that exist. The last one to sell in auction brought $16,450.00 08/2013 heritage. Keep in mind, the next step up can NOT be obtained as it is in our FINEST EVER set. This is definitely NOT a date or grade you will find offered more then once every few years! Opportunity knocks loud here!

25C 1874 W/A PCGS PR66 CAMEO
  DEEP MIRRORS!
Sold on 09/2014
Hard to imagine a finer PR 1874 W/A existing (PCGS has done none)!

Deep mirrors really border on full ULTRA deep. They are crystal clear, have no impairments and are highly reflective. The mirrors have that deep "watery"/liquid mercury type look. You will want to twirl them all day long. There is NO toning anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is jaw dropping!

ONLY 700 were ever minted. PCGS 9, NGC 6, CAC 3. The last recorded auction record for one of these : $14,100.00 07/2014 heritage. We do NOT ever see these in any grade above PR 64. Opportunity knocks so loud here!

  FABULOUS!
Sold on 09/2014
This piece belongs in a museum! Its a perfect piece that has survived for 131 years. Hard to believe!

Superb GEM surfaces have deep, crystal clear, super clean, and highly reflective mirrors. Even using a strong glass we can't find ANY imperfections. A faint hint of gold frames the rims only. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and full strikes. The eye appeal is fabulous!

PCGS 7, NGC 6, CAC 7. PCGS has graded two PR66+ DC's. One sold for $5,288.00 04/2014 heritage. The lone PR 67 DC graded has not appeared since 2004. We think it would easily sell for $20,000.00 today. Opportunity knocks loud here!

WE HAVE POSTED THIS COIN AT OUR BEST PRICE!

3CS 1854 PCGS MS66 EX SIMPSON
  SUPERB!
Sold on 09/2014
Until the MS68 Gardner coin was sold, we had placed this coin in the Law/Simpson #1 all time (and probably forever) MS 3CS set. It certainly is all there and then some!

A surprisingly strong luster radiates from all over. Save for the Mint made die clashing, this coin is extremely clean. A moderate mix of totally original olive/deep golden brown covers the majority of both sides. You still can see the details sharp strikes easily. The eye appeal is pleasing!

PCGS 8, NGC 4, CAC 5. We could not find any records of a MS66 1854 PCGS CAC ever selling in any auction. The last record of one selling was for a non CAC. That coin brought $7,475.00 01/2007 Heritage! We assure you, this coin is NOT dreck!

$20 1907 HR WE PCGS MS65+
  SUPERB!
Sold on 09/2014
We have a stunning totally ORIGINAL example of the all time beloved king of Saints. These are unquestionably one of the most beautiful coins EVER minted!

First thing you see-the famous "deep dish" High Relief crater. Inside are surfaces that are smooth and are super clean. A strong luster shows off the coins beautiful and totally original soft gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. As expected, Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have delightful light frost. The eye appeal is phenomenal!

PCGS 291, NGC 92, CAC 35. PCGS has graded only 5 in MS65+. The last one to sell in auction brought $54,344.00 03/2013 Heritage. That is a long time ago! Even if every HR ever minted survived in true GEM, they would still command strong prices as they are one of the most beautiful and popular coins that exists!

$10 1912S PCGS MS65
  A SOLID MS 65!
Sold on 09/2014
What a great quality 1912S! You'll see them in MS64 and even 64+, but never in FULL true GEM MS65!

Impressive surfaces are super clean and smooth. There are a few light frost breaks and a teenie tick or two, but nothing stands out to the naked eye. A surprisingly strong luster (for a 12S) illuminates the soft and totally original gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is full GEM MS65!

PCGS 10, NGC 8, CAC 3. PCGS has graded only 2 higher. This exact piece was the last to sell in auction back in 08/2013 Stacks. It brought $64,625.00 in fierce bidding. The collector who bought it has now changed his collecting direction. Opportunity knocks loud for anyone building a GEM $10 Indian set!

50C 1941D PCGS MS67
  BLAZING WHITE!
Sold on 09/2014
AWESOME! This is the way these should come. VERY high end and clean.

To start, the surfaces are ultra clean and have a great satiny texture. Most important: the dreaded right field is PERFECT!!!!! No scuffs, pinpoint ticks, nothing! Both sides are a fresh frosty white. The luster is bold. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are extra sharp in strike. This coin looks more like a 1943 P then a 41D!
