Twenty Cent Pieces
Item - 10263
20C 1877 PCGS PR66
  PHENOMENAL!
Sold on 11/2014
We have handled a few really great GEM PROOF 20C pieces in our time, we can honestly say this piece does rank among the best!

Its only a few light hidden lines from PR67. The mirrors are deep, clear, clean, and have strong reflectivity. They look like a freshly formed sheet of ice. A beautiful ring of totally original blue/green colors opens into soft violet/golden brown centers on the obverse. The entire reverse is covered by the blue/green/violet colors. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have crisp full strikes. The eye appeal is like the quality: phenomenal!

ONLY 350 were minted for this rare PR ONLY date. PCGS 13, NGC 20, CAC 2. The last one to sell in auction brought $22,325.00 03/2013 Stacks. Coins like this certainly do NOT grow on trees!

10C 1861S PCGS MS66
  THE FINEST KNOWN!
Sold on 11/2014
We ask ourselves every day-how in the world does this remarkable coin even exist? Think about it, its 153 years old. It survived the Civil War and natures/human elements for that long. Last, it looks like it was made recently. You will NEVER see a better 1861S 10C!

The only things we can see that might be what are keeping this GEM from an MS67-two teenie HIDDEN flecks and a minor clash mark (which is Mint made). It also should be known this date come very "soft" and crusty. Of course this piece is anything but that. Both sides are amazingly clean and satiny smooth. A surprisingly strong luster shows off the totally original light gold/creamy white colors. Miss Liberty and the details are FULLY struck and do stand out. They also are lightly frosted. The eye appeal is refreshing and just outstanding!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. It should be noted that a nice MS64 (not an upgrade candidate) was auctioned for $41,125.00 June 2014 Heritage in heated bidding. Imagine what this coin would do if it were in auction! Fortunately, it is not and we are very reasonable in what we are asking! This coin definitely is the opportunity of a life time for anyone building a SUPERB GEM Seated Dime set.

  A NEAR MISS FULL GEM!
Sold on 11/2014
One thing Legend knows-MS Seated Dollars. We built the FINEST EVER MS Seated set (it will never be matched). So when we saw this coin, we knew it was a marvelous HIGH END piece.

Superb surfaces are have only the faintest of scuffs or ticks. You need a strong glass to see the typical (Mint made) light die polishing lines. A surprising full booming luster beams gorgeous, totally original colors of golden brown/blue/pale violet that are mostly around the peripheries. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is tremendous!

PCGS 5, NGC 6, CAC 3. Hard to believe there are at least 7-8 finer! Still, this is a rare date from our most desirable collecting period-The Civil War era. The last one of these to sell was a non CAC piece. That was waaay back in 2008. Back then it brought $20,400.00. Can't say we have seen any MS64's offered in the past year or so. Keep in mind, ANY MS65 is worth at least $45,000.00+ if PCGS CAC. Opportunity knocks as loud as ever here!

  AWESOME!!
Sold on 11/2014
WOW! This magnificent GEM is a tutorial in what an MS66 should be!

Incredible surfaces are extremely clean and smooth. The few scattered ticks there are a well hidden. A full booming luster shows off gorgeous original gold with bursts of pale pinkish gold colors. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is really great!

PCGS 64, NGC 47, CAC 5. There is a reason why only 5 are stickered! We doubt any more then 10% will ever get the bean. Do not let the pops fool you, these are impossible coins to find! The last one to sell in auction brought $10,350.00 way back FOUR years ago-07/2010 Heritage. Once this coin is sold, it will be along time before you encounter another!

  TOTALLY ORIGINAL!
Sold on 11/2014
No question this wonderful coins has never been dipped or messed with!

The surfaces are actually pristine. We double checked this coin with a strong glass. A good luster shows off the light and totally original pale shade of pewter color. There are one or two teenie toning dots. The strike is phenomenal!! You do NOT need a glass to see the FULL rivets in the shield or the crisp full head. The eye appeal is super nice!

PCGS 50, NGC 31, CAC 11. Do not be fooled by the pops, this is a very difficult date to find-see the last auction record. The last one to sell in auction brought $2,185.00 02/2012 Heritage.

WE HAVE POSTED THIS COIN AT OUR BEST PRICE!

  NEAT!
Sold on 11/2014
To us, this piece is amazing. We just melt into its great look!

The surfaces are remarkably clean and sleek. You can actually see faint hints of semi-prooflike mirrors in the right light. Only if you use a strong glass can you find a thin scattered line or two. Both sides are evenly covered in a totally original mix of golden brown/pale olive/pewter/pale blue colors. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have extra sharp strikes. As we mentioned before, the eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 17, NGC 10, CAC 7. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $3,055.00 08/2013 Heritage. Its important to note that PCGS has only graded one coin higher-an MS65. Great coin, great value!

  GLORIOUS MIRRORS!
Sold on 11/2014
WOW! What a surprisingly lively coin!

Deep and glittering mirrors have great clarity, depth, cleanliness (there is one teenie toning spot at 8:00 on the obverse), and boldly reflective. Lovely original light toning of golden brown/pale lilac is evenly spread out. This is no where near the dullish typical 1860's you normally see. The Indian and all of the details are extra frosty and have needle sharp full strikes. The eye appeal is wicked awesome!

PCGS 12, NGC 12, CAC 2. Do NOT be fooled by the pops, these are hard to find-NICE! The other PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $9,988.00 04/2014 Heritage. Opportunity knocks loud for the PR Indian Cent collector!

  VERY HIGH END!
Sold on 11/2014
We really do not see any specific reason PCGS did not designate this wonderful GEM a PR66-or even a cameo!

Deep mirrors go glitter boldly. They are also remarkably clean, clear, and boldly reflective. A delicate mix of totally original golden brown/blue/pale violet colors swirls all over. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have full stand out strikes. The eye appeal is fabulous!

ONLY 1000 were minted. Most were melted due to poor sales. PCGS 17, NGC 17, CAC 7. PCGS has graded only in PR65+. The last PR66 to sell brought $6,325.00 back in 2010. We think a coin like this is steal below $2,000.00. Its PRE Civil War and is in superb GEM. Opportunity knocks loud here!

  SUPERB COLORS!
Sold on 11/2014
What a terrific SUPERB GEM PR Barber Dime this is!

Deep and glittering mirrors beam from all over. They have great clarity, cleanliness, and bold reflectivity. The flash of the mirrors illuminates a kailedescope of vibrant original colors that include: rose/violet/gold/pearl green/blue/tangerine that swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and have light frost. The eye appeal is gorgeous!

ONLY 575 were minted. PCGS 12, NGC 17, CAC 9. The last one to sell in auction brought $3,672.00 07/2013 Heritage. These have become way too cheap (in our opinion). We most highly recommend building a PR67 set. It would seem like it could easily be done for UNDER $85,000.00-even if you have to stretch on the tougher dates. Of does opportunity ever knock here!

phenomenal satiny surfaces are ultra clean. Even using a strong glass you will be impressed. A full booming luster shows off the original crisp white color. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have full strikes. Her cheek is super clean and will please the pickiest buyer. The eye appeal is spectacular!

PCGS 92, NGC 161, CAC 35. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $6,463.00 04/2014 Heritage This is not an auction, so we'll sell this piece for the right price!
