$1 1879S PCGS MS64DMPL
  FROSTY!
Sold on 06/2014
A boldly cameod GEM!

Full 8" mirrors beam from all over. They are crystal clear, look like a freshly made sheet of ice, and have intense reflectivity. A few teeny ticks are scattered around-NOTHING is big at all. Both sides have a light mist of ORIGINAL gold by the peripheries only. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and are fully struck. The eye appeal is pretty awesome!

  AWESOME!
Sold on 06/2014
What a stunning GEM Proof Liberty Nickel!

Superior deep, crystal clear, super clean, and intensely reflective mirrors beam from all over. A few light scuffs-are on the holder! There is no hint of toning anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have crisp needle sharp strikes. The eye appeal is tremendous!

PCGS 13, NGC 24, CAC 8. This coin last sold for $2,350.00 03/2014 Heritage. We think in this grade, especially looking this good, these are great values.

5C 1906 PCGS PR66+ CAMEO
  KILLER MIRRORS!
Sold on 06/2014
What a terrific borderline DCameo coin!

No question the mirrors are deep, crystal clear, clean, and have intense reflectivity. They do look "icy" and have that "black" (a term) look. There is NO toning. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have thick white frost. The eye appeal is tremendous!

PCGS 22, NGC 11, CAC 11. We think its a great time to build a set of these in PR65/66 Cameo. The last auction record we found for one was for $1,990.00 07/2013 heritage. Bought this one really right and will passion the deal!

J- 878 25C 1870 PCGS PR65RB EX DENALI
  PHEOMENAL!
Sold on 06/2014
This is a low R-7 (close to 12 Minted) example of Longacres Seated design. This coin is struck in copper. It is beautiful and is HIGH END!

Outstanding mirrors are actually deep, clear, super clean, and have strong reflectivity-something you typically do NOT see on copper. Totally ORIGINAL colors of GEM chocolate brown/blue/violet swirl boldly all over. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have needle sharp strikes. Both the design and general eye appeal of this coin are PHENOMENAL!

PCGS 3, NGC 0, CAC 2. We believe this coin is at least 2 of the 3. It last sold in 08/2013 for $4,406.00 Heritage. Keep this in mind, a regular PR 1870 25C in GEM sells for slightly more! Who says Patterns are unrealistically priced?

50C 1883 PCGS MS67+
  THE FINEST GRADED 1883 50C!
Sold on 06/2014
Now this is a Legend quality coin! It is unlike any other 1883 we have ever seen. Pieces like this come along maybe once every decade or so-if even!

Incredible sensational smooth and satiny surfaces are remarkably clean. Only one teenie area of some giggles (right side obv) keeps this coin from an MS68 designation. There are NO real detraction. A full booming luster also shows off heart-pounding rings of totally ORIGINAL royal blue/deep gold that blend into light gold all over. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and have thick creamy frost. The eye appeal is magnificent!

ONLY 8000 were ever minted. PCGS 2, NGC 3, CAC 3. After 25+ years of operations, this is the ONLY MS67+ graded. This coin has never sold in auction. get this, the last PCGS MS67 of this date sold back in 2005 for $28,750.00. We can not stress enough the extreme rarity of these high grade pieces. This coin definitely belongs in a world class collection!

H.01 1848 PCGS PR65RB ORIGINAL MISSOURI
  A WONDERFUL GEM PROOF!
Sold on 06/2014
The extreme great rarity and quality of this coin can NOT be overstated. It is as rare as even an 1894S 10C, and it has VERY high end quality! In your lifetime you will see no more then a handful of ORIGINAL PROOFS offered of any date or grade.

What a marvelous and totally ORIGINAL GEM this coin is. Shallow but real mirrors are clear, clean, and do have some strong reflectivity. The color is a totally ORIGINAL mix of faded mint red and light brown. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and have light frost. Here is a partial description from Goldberg: "Mint red fading to steel brown, about half of the red remaining. The fields are nicely reflective with moderate mirrors on the obverse and slightly deeper ones on the reverse. A gem except for a few carbon spots, including one in the field left of the date and another in the field below star 10 near the hair bun." We'd like to add, the eye appeal is wonderful!

ONL:Y 15 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. The only other piece graded 65-is the other PR65+ from the Missouri cabinet. That coin sold for $94,875.00. If that coin had not been first, we would not have been able to buy this. There was a new collector who no question was determined to buy a complete PR set from the sale. Most likely this will be the ONLY ORIGINAL PR 1848 for sale for years. NO PR65's have ever sold in auction. The last PR 64RB that sold was back in 2003-that coin brought $10,350.00 heritage. We can't stress enough how much we feel these are UNDERvalued -still!

Legend Numismatics is proud to own and offer this extreme rarity to our collecting friends.

H.01 1849 ORIGINAL SM DATE PCGS PR65 BN MISSOURI
  OUTSTANDING!
Sold on 06/2014
This coin in our opinion is a SUPER HIGH END! We also think its one of the neatest PR Half Cents from the sale.

Surprisingly shimmering and deep, crystal clear, clean, and highly reflective mirrors beam from all over. We looked hard for any real imperfections-and found NONE! This is NOT your typical shallow barely mirrors Half Cent Proof. The colors are totally ORIGINAL and include chocolate brown/faded blue/gold that swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and have light frost. The eye appeal is spectacular! here is a partial description from Goldberg: "Light brown with iridescent rose and blue steel overtones plus faded mint red in protected areas of the reverse. The fields are nicely reflective with moderately deep mirrors on both sides. Kept from gem status by a tiny spot of planchet impurity struck into the field left of star 11 and a microscopic chip on the coronet over the I in LIBERTY. As a point of interest, the 8 in the date on all the Small Date Proofs is weaker than the other three digits. The weakness appears to have been caused by a clog in the die that went uncorrected during its use on both the Originals and First Restrikes." Interesting how the copper weenie describe coins!

ONLY 12 coins were ever minted. That's as rare as ANY major classic rarity! PCGS 2, NGC 1, CAC 2. The other PCGS CAC piece was also in the auction and it brought $48,300.00. Until now, NO 1849's have sold at auction (while you have had 5 1913 5C, a few 1804 $1, and several 1838O halves sell in the past 3 years)! We KNOW this coin is grossly UNDERvalued. You can't put a price on coins that simply never trade. We think ANY PR 65 or better ORIGINAL should be $100,000.00. Opportunity knocks loud here!

50C 1940S PCGS MS67
  ULTRA HIGH END!
Sold on 06/2014
Yes, you read that title correct, we firmly grade this coin a MS67+ (sorry, we can NOT guarantee it will regrade that). We do NOT think PCGS was grading + coins when this was initially graded. In our opinion, this coin looks more like a 41P then 40S as well!

There are more imperfections on the holder then the coin. The surfaces are amazingly clean and have a satin smooth texture. Even the dreaded right field is clean and smooth. A full booming luster shows off crisp ORIGINAL white surfaces. The strike is superior to most 40S we have seen. You do NOT need a glass to see the skirt lines, full head, or split thumb. The eye appeal is jaw dropping phenomenal!

PCGS 9, NGC 9, CAC 7. This particular coin last sold on 09/2011 for $27,600.00. It has been off the market ever since with a collector who has a tremendous eye for high end Walkers. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $35,250.00 04/2013 Heritage. We're positive this coin would meet or exceed that price in auction! Be glad its being offered privately!

$10 1869S PCGS AU50
  FLASHY!
Sold on 06/2014
This is a wonderful example of a tremendously undervalued and difficult to find date. The quality is VERY high end!

Bold semi-prooflike mirrors dazzle from across the room. There are a few very light hits-but NO numerous ticks. A light luster also shows off the even deeper gold color. We do not believe this coin has ever been dipped or was messed with. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have extra sharp strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 10, NGC 4, CAC 3. The only auction record we could find for an AU50 was from 08/2010 Stacks. That coin brought $6,325.00. We think the pop of 10 is wrong. You never ever see this date in AU (the last PCGS AU 55 sold back in 2010 as well)! Opportunity knocks loud for any $10 Lib collector!
