5C 1910 PCGS MS66
WOW, WOW, WOW!
Sold on
02/2013
Did we say WOW? When we were going through a box this coin made us immediately stop and drool. After checking under the hood for the technical qualities-it was ours. Now it can be yours!
A FULL booming headlight type luster greets you from across the room. When you look at the coin with the naked eye you see NO imperfections. The surfaces look sleek and clean. Even with a strong glass, all you can find is a microscopic line or two. Awesome colors of gold/pale violet/amber/faded pearl green swirl all over the peripheries. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. You do NOT need a glass to see the pinpoint strike on the corn. The eye appeal is a total WOW factor!
PCGS 11, NGC 12, CAC 6. We'd bet this is the most gonzo of the 1910's.. The last one to sell in major auction brought $6,325.00 111/12 Stacks and it was NOT CAC'd! Opportunity couldn't knock any louder here!

10C 1844 PCGS MS65
ONE OF THE FINEST!
Sold on
02/2013
An amazing example of this extremely rare and desirable date. Why PCGS did not at least + this coin is unknown to us.
No question this coin has been sitting in either tissue paper or cardboard holder for a very long time. The toning is ORIGINAL. A lively royal blue/pale purple color evenly covers both sides. The colors are vibrant. You can clearly see the surfaces which are super clean and have a decent luster. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and stand out. This coin tends to remind you more of an 1880's piece than a 1844! The eye appeal is terrific!
PCGS 4, NGC 1, CAC 3 (this coin is 2 of them). PCGS has graded only ONE coin finer (which is locked away in major collection). In 1/11 an NGC (NON CAC) sold for $34,500.00 Stacks.
Legend Numismatics is pleased to own and offer this VERY RARE numismatic treasure.

10C 1878 PCGS MS67
This is a near perfect SUPERB GEM!
You have to look long and hard to see any flaws (which are extremely minor). The surfaces are satiny smooth. Some traces of semi-prooflike mirrors can be seen. The luster is strong. both sides have a light hint of gold with the reverse appearing slight deeper and more sandy looking. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 3, NGC 2, CAC 1. There is one PCGS/CAC coin higher (which we just bought for $23,000.00). The last one of these to sell in major auction brought $8,338.00 Heritage. This coin has been away for a few years. In its last auction appearance, it brought $7,763.00 11/2005 Heritage. We are pleased to re offer this great "old friend"!

50C 1939 OREGON SET PCGS MS67
A SUPERB MATCHED TOTALLY ORIGINAL SET!
Sold on
02/2013
What a tremendous set! No question these have stayed together since the day they left the Mint!
Each coin has amazing cleanliness. We looked really hard for any defects-of any size, there are NONE. The surfaces do display some mild luster. The luster shows off the ORIGINAL golden brown colors that cover 1/3 of each coin. Every detail is sharply struck (for an Oregon). The eye appeal of the entire set is awesome!
Only 3000 sets were ever minted. Most have been broken up. At most maybe a few hundred sets survived in gradable condition. There are NO real price guides for a set like this. We do not understand why its not worth $10,000.00. How many will you ever see in this lofty state of preservation-looking this nice?
WE HAVE POSTED THIS SET AT OUR BEST PRICE!

$2.5 1911D PCGS MS65 STRONG D
A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF THIS KEY DATE!
Sold on
02/2013
This coin is real no question MS65 GEM! CAC certainly won't allow anything marginal with its bean on better gold.
First and most impressive, we can't see any lines. Even using a strong glass this coin is super clean. That's highly unusual. A full blazing luster also shows off pretty and ORIGINAL two tone orange/yellow gold colors. There are NO spots or discolorations. Every detail is frosty and has a super sharp strike. The eye appeal is a major WOW factor!
PCGS 17, NGC 83, CAC 6. NO PCGS/CAC pieces have sold in auction. These certainly are NOT yet back to their 2006-2008 highs of $85,000.00-$126,500.00. Also, keep in mind CC has beaned NO MS66's.
If you are building handpicked GEM Set, then is is a coin you see. The quality is all there and then some.

10C 1874 W/A PCGS MS68+
UNBELIEVABLE!
Sold on
02/2013
Without a doubt, this is the FINEST WA 10C on the planet. There is a MS68, but it lacks the color or eye appeal to be close to this monster!
Remarkable surfaces are the epitome of perfection all over. They are super satiny and beam with a strong luster. Both sides are a mix of ORIGINAL frosty white with bursts of vibrant navy/magenta/gold from around the rim areas. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have pinpoint sharp strikes. Your eye balls will pop out when they see this spectacular GEM!
THIS IS A PCGS POP 1 AND A CAC POP 1 (in MS68+). There is no such thing as an equal or finer coin! In a major auction a coin like this would sell for a crazy number. Fortunately, this is not an auction.

$1 1925 PCGS MS67
AN AMAZING HIGH END SUPERB GEM!
Sold on
02/2013
We just had a really nice 1925 in MS67. Amazingly, this coin is NICER! We actually purchased it from a major crackout dealer who thought it was at least a 67+ and shot MS68. It IS close, but no cigar here!
Drop dead PHENOMENALLY gorgeous surfaces are pristine in every respect. Look as hard and as long as you can, there are NO problems of any size, anywhere. The surface are also smooth and satiny. A booming luster shows off superb totally ORIGINAL light shades of gold/pale sea foam green. This is NOT a dull or drab looking coin. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is like the quality-sensational!
PCGS 76, NGC 66, CAC 16. A PCGS NON CAC piece sold for $6,463.00 1/13 Heritage. We could easily see this coin bringing the same kind of money in major auction (not guaranteed). Even if you are the worlds pickiest buyer, this piece WILL more than please you!

$2.5 1856 PCGS MS64
A MS64.8+++!
Sold on
02/2013
We like to think our standards are much tougher than the grading services. But, there are times when we think a coin should be a+ and they don't. This is one!
Only a few teenie thin lines keep this coin from an MS65 designation. Overall, the surfaces are clean and satiny. A strong unbroken luster shows off beautiful ORIGINAL yellow gold on the obverse and a mix of yellow/orange gold on the reverse. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have strong strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 17, NGC 28, CAC 3. This is NOT a commoner date. The last PCGS/CAC to sell at auction brought $2,938.00 1/13 Heritage. We strongly feel coins like this represent tremendous opportunity!
