J-1435 $2.5 1875 PCGS PR65
  A PERFECT DIE TRIAL!
Sold on 05/2012
This is an R-7 (4-12 minted) struck in Aluminum. You can't find this date in GEM MS or even GEM PR. Here is a wonderful off metal GEM example!

Far above average mirrors are deep, clean, and have bold reflectivity. Only with a glass can you see a few light and scattered lines. The fields are light black (a term) and do contrast with thickly frosted details (this coin is a cameo). Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is tremendous!

PCGS 2, NGC 1, CAC 1. We are pleased to own and offer this wonder rarity to collectors. It is still housed in an older green tag holder (which is why it is not designated a cameo). This is the least expensive GEM 1875 $2.5 you can buy. A PR 65 would cost you $50,000.00+ and a MS65 no can do-there are NONE graded higher than MS62! Opportunity knocks super loud here!

25C 1856 PCGS PR64 PITTMAN
  A VIRTUAL GEM!
Sold on 05/2012
VERY HIGH END! This coin narrowly misses PR65 status!

Exceptionally clean mirrors have moderate reflectivity. Even with a strong glass you can not find any lines or detraction. The obverse has moderate navy/golden brown colors, while the reverse is more navy. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is very pleasing.

ONLY 40 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 8, NGC 6, CAC 3. PCGS has graded only ONE PR65 and none higher. This piece is the EX john Pittman coin. In his day, JP had one of the best collections of early proof coins that existed!

The last one of these to sell in major auction brought $11,224.00 03/11 Stacks. This is a wonderful piece of numismatic royalty and history!

5C 1880 PCGS MS63
  A 100% NO QUESTION MS!
Sold on 05/2012
Earlier this year, we purchased the PCGS MS65 and sold it immediately. We were surprised how many people are interested in this "holy grail" of Nickels date. So when we saw this coin and were impressed by its SUPER HIGH END QUALITY, we knew we had to own it! You'll feel the same after seeing it!

If all MS63 coins looked like this, they'd sell for far more money. To the naked eye, this coin if fabulously clean and smooth. Under a glass, all you can see are very light and scattered abrasions and lines. A full booming luster beams from all over. Light ORIGINAL colors of Nickel/pale purple/pale blue/gold cover all the surfaces. All of the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is great and really is of a higher grade piece!

The die breaks and other characteristics for this to be a TRUE MS piece are all there.

PCGS 4, NGC 3, CAC 1. There has never been a PCGS MS63 in auction. The last PCGS MS64 (NON CAC) sold for $54,625.00 07/2011 Heritage. The pricing guides on this coin are incorrect and CDN is just plain incompetent. Also, we feel strongly the pops are are wrong and there probably are one or two coins listed that are not really MS. Regardless, this particular coin is a FULL NO QUESTION MS. Opportunity knocks as loud as ever here!

  AWESOME!
Sold on 05/2012
VERY HIGH END! This coin really catches your eyes-even from a mile away!

Super deep and "liquid" mirrors are the type you swirl all day because you love to watch the mirrors roll. They also have amazing clarity and NO problems of ANY size ANY where (there is a little haze on the HOLDER). The reflectivity of the mirrors is off the charts stunning. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and have thick snowy white frost. The eye appeal is totally spectacular!

ONLY 731 coins were ever minted. PCGS 18, NGC 16, CAC 8.This is is NOT your typical Cameoed 1897!
