J-1721 1C 1884 PCGS PR68 CAMEO
  BY FAR THE FINEST KNOWN!
Sold on 04/2012
This is a R-5 (31-75 Minted). It is a HOLED center 1C Pattern made in aluminum. No question, it is the FINEST KNOWN (occasionally we let one by pass Simpson)!

This is a monster coin well worthy of status. The aluminum is brilliant and has deep mirrored reflectivity. There are more problems on the holder than the coin. You can clearly see the hand perforated centers. Every detail is crisply struck and has bold frost. The eye appeal is sensational!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. In 08/2011 this coin auctioned in Stacks for $5,750.00. If a nice PR68RB 1884 existed, it would sell for much more. We just can't see the long term downside for a coin like this. Plus, not many patterns have ever graded PR68 Cameo!!!!

1C 1909S VDB PCGS MS65RB
  A TREMENDOUS COIN!
Sold on 04/2012
Not only is this coin a high end GEM, it has beautiful eye appeal!

Technically, this coin is all there and then some. The surfaces are velvety smooth and have super cleanliness. There are NO flecks, although there is the teeniest of TONING dots in the right field. Both sides are a superb ORIGINAL color mix of brown/golden brown/pale Mint red. Lincoln and every detail is sharply struck and stands out. The eye appeal is beautiful!

PCGS 705, NGC 408, CAC 91. The last one of these to appear in major auction brought $3,680.00 Stacks 3/12. If you have been seeking a true GEM 09S VDB, then this is the coin for you!

$5 1884S PCGS MS64+
  A BORDER LINE MS65!
Sold on 04/2012
This coin not only is a borderline MS65-it is also the FINEST graded by PCGS (NGC has 2 MS65's)!

Just a few small ticks and scuffs can be seen with a strong glass. they definitely are light and you have seen worse on commoner dates. The luster is surprisingly intense. There are traces of semi-prooflike mirrors too. the color is a phenomenal totally ORIGINAL pale orange/greenish gold mix. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 8, NGC 20, CAC 4. THIS IS THE ONLY MS64+ GRADED BY PCGS-NOTHING IS HIGHER. The coin last sold in major auction 08/2011 Heritage for $5,175.00. The owner has since changed his collecting direction. We purchased this coin outright from him at the CSNS Show. he did very much sell it to us at the current market price!

  TOTALLY ORIGINAL!
Sold on 04/2012
A very pleasing and choice coin!

No question this coin is totally ORIGINAL. The surfaces are not hacked up or loaded with lines-they are clean overall. A strong luster shows off light toning and a few pale toning coppery dots (which you need a glass to see). Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is excellent!

PCGS 150, NGC 172, CAC 7. The last one of these to sell in major auction brought $5,463 03/2011 Heritage. Prior to that a CAC coin brought $5,175.00 09/2010. These are not easy coins to find in today's marketplace.

  AWESOME MIRRORS!
Sold on 04/2012
Rarely do we see this date with such powerful mirrors!

Both sides have highly reflective, clear, clean, and bold glass like mirrors. You need a glass to see the few teenie pinpoint mint made items like planchet flakes or a lint mark on the face. The color is a totally ORIGINAL pale brown/faint red/tan. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is tremendous!

PCGS 9, NGC 18, CAC 2. The last one to sell in major auction was a NON CAC piece. It brought $1,323.00 Stacks 06/2011. How time flies when you can't find any!

  PRETTY TISSUE PAPER TONING!
Sold on 04/2012
We prefer these either blazing white or colored like this-no in between or hazed up coins for us!

First, the mirrors are deep, clear, clean, and have powerful reflectivity. No question this coin developed pretty "tissue" paper toning from sitting in a box too long. There are totally ORIGINAL shades of gold/golden brown/violet/pale blue scattered all over. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted a light silvery white and have full strikes. The eye appeal is VERY pretty!

PCGS 919, NGC 916, CAC 100.

  SUPERB!
Sold on 04/2012
Superb in every respect!

These do NOT come looking like 1941P's. This coin has crisp, clean, and very lustrous surfaces. An adorable light layer of ORIGINAL pearl/golden brown brown dusky colors covers most of the obverse. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is excellent!

PCGS 25, NGC 64, CAC 5. The last PCGS/CAC piece to sell in a major auction brought $4,888.00 08/2011 Heritage. We can tell you, we have been searching along time-a very long time for one of these. They are MUCH rarer than the pops indicate!

  NEAT ORIGINAL COLORS!
Sold on 04/2012
HIGH END with lots of swirling color!

We see no real reason why this coin did earn at least a + from PCGS (there is no guarantee). The mirrors are super clean, have amazing clarity, are deep, and of course have super strong reflectivity. They do appear glass like. A wild mix of ORIGINAL blue/navy/purple/violet/gold colors swirls all over. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is terrific!

ONLY 755 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 57, NGC 55, CAC 3. Not as common as you might think. NO CAC pieces have sold at any major auctions.

  BOLDLY LUSTROUS!
Sold on 04/2012
Well worthy of being designated an MS67, this coin also looks great!

Super smooth and clean surfaces are illuminated by a powerful luster. There is a frost break in the right field, but no marks to focus on. The color is a totally ORIGINAL creamy white. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and sharply struck. You do not need a glass to see the full skirt lines. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 218, NGC 310, CAC 60. We shake our heads at how cheap these have become!

  VERY PRETTY!
Sold on 04/2012
Bought this from a collector who changed direction. Fortunately, this collector was VERY picky!

Superior mirrors look clean and "watery"overall. only with a strong glass can you detect at light line or two. The mirrors are also clear, deep, and have intense refelctivity. A pretty and moderate mix of ORIGINAL golden brown color invades mostely the peripheries. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted a silvery white. They are als fully struck. The eye appeal is VERY PRETTY!

ONLY 762 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 9, NGC 8, CAC 2. The last one of these to sell in major auction brought $2,530.00 9/10 Heritage (think about that, 2 years ago)! These are not so easy to find!

For a sneak peak, visit PCGS cert verification: 25515413.
