AMAZING AND THEN SOME!
Sold on
08/2011
If you search for perfection, then this coin is for you!
Shimmering surfaces are satiny smooth and have NO marks anywhere. This is definitely NOT a dipped out coin. A full booming cartwheel luster shows off gorgeous creamy white surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. For you tough old timers, her cheek is rounded and has NO marks. The eye appeal is a major WOW factor!
PCGS 37 , NGC 92, CAC 16. Prior to this coin bringing $9,775.00 in auction 06/2011, another sold for $12,650.00 1/2011. We know of yet another that sold for OVER $10,000.00 as well. These are NOT common 79S or 80S's!

BLAZING WHITE!
Sold on
08/2011
Above average quality.
This is such a frustrating date. You either find them with a full strike and no luster, or with luster and no strike. This coin DOES have both!
Blazing snowy white surfaces are beaming with a full cartwheel luster. There are a few very teenie ticks and lines, but nothing that is serious or hurts the eye/grade. Most important, MISS Liberty and the details are 99% fully struck and have generous frost. The eye appeal is terrific!
PCGS 79 , NGC 69, CAC 6. PCGS has graded ONE MS65+ and NONE higher. The last CAC 91O to sell in a major auction brought $7,475.00 1/2011 Heritage. These just do not appear!

OMG! ITS TERRIFIC!
Sold on
08/2011
We buy EVERY nice 96S in PCGS MS65 we can. This coin was a "no brainer" for us to buy!
Even though there is a very miniscule frost break or two, this GEM is amazingly clean overall. The surfaces are satiny and do have a strong luster ( for a 96S). The color is a creamy white with a trace of faint gold. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are 98% struck. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 53, NGC 21, CAC 3. PCGS has graded only 4 coins higher-one of them being an MS69! CAC has beaned only the MS66. This coin is housed in an older green tag holder. Prior to this coin, the last CAC PCGS MS65 to sell in auction brought $21,850.00 08/2010 Heritage. If your a picky Morgan Collector-opportunity knocks really loud here!

OUTRAGEOUS BLUE COLOR!
Sold on
08/2011
We'll call this one: Mother nature gone mad! WOW! Ultra deep, crystal clear, and remarkably clean mirrors have the most intense reflectivity possible. Both sides are evenly covered by a deep but electric mix of rose/royal blue/gold/forest green/violet colors. You do NOT have to tilt the coin to see the colors. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have full strikes. This is a totally ORIGINAL and quality oriented coin all the way. Oh yeah-the eye appeal is incredible!
PCGS 25, NGC 29, CAC 14. This coin is far superior to the average GEM!! If you seek killer color, then check this out.

J- 78 RES 50C 1838 PCGS PR65+ BN EX BASS
OUTRAGOUS!
Sold on
08/2011
This is an R-7 (4-12 minted). Apparently, these were made at a later date than 1838.
If you do not LOVE this outrageous ULTRA HIGH END GEM, then don't bother us-your totally unrealistic!
Electric mirrors are the epitome of being ultra clean, having tremendous clarity, and having the most reflective surfaces possible. Just a few light dies polishing lines can be detected. The colors are a totally ORIGINAL and fiery Brown/violet/blue/gold mix. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes that appear boldly. The eye appeal is like the quality-OUTRAGEOUS!
PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. Only the Simpson coin is finer. This was formerly in the collection of another great Ft Worth oilman-the late Harry Bass. It last sold in auction for $24,150.00 in 2009 when it was just a NON CAC'd NON + piece. We cannot stress enough what a tremendous opportunity this coin offers for the serious pattern collector.

J-1651 $1 1880 PCGS PR67 GOLOID DOLLAR
A FRIGGEN MONSTER!!!
Sold on
08/2011
This is an R-7 with close to a dozen believed minted. This coin is a real pattern designed by William Barber. In our opinion, it is THE FINEST Goloid Metric Dollar pattern that exists. It certainly is a touch finer than the Simpson specimen! These typically are found cleaned in the lower grades.
Absolutely love at first sight unbelievable GEM PLUS mirrors are perfectly clean, have amazing clarity, are deep, and have the ultimate in reflectivity. An electric almost neon like color mix of fiery ORIGINAL violet/electric royal blue/wild tangerine colors all cover both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. When you see this MONSTER, your eyes will pop out, your heart will race, and your jaw will drop and lock-just like ours did.
PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. When we first saw this we were prepared to pay far more then what we are now asking for it! We truly believe this coin is a steal. We know you will NEVER see anything equal!

A REAL NEAR MISS MS65!
Sold on
08/2011
We do not mind owning this coin again. Superb old friends are always welcomed back!
Only a few invisible frost breaks/lines keep this coin from being the 3rd MS65 certified by PCGS. To the naked the coin looks clean and satiny. An unbroken powerful luster shows off beautiful creamy white surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and appear boldly. The overall eye appeal is awesome!
PCGS 3/1, NGC 3/0, CAC 1. This is the ONLY 64S beaned by CAC in ANY grade. In 09/2010 this coin sold in a Heritage auction for $6,900.00. One this coin is gone from the market, you will not have another chance at a GEM 64S for a very long time!

Deep, crystal clear, super clean, and highly reflective mirrors cover the surfaces. They appear like glass. A moderate mix of pale golden brown/purple colors swirls around both sides.
