Like so many of the other coins from the great Dakota collection, this coin is a full SUPERB GEM!
An intense luster shows off super satiny surfaces. They as clean as you would expect for an MS66 to have. The color of the coin is a pure snowy white. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is great!
PCGS 490, NGC 282, CAC 26. A NON CAC coin sold in 06/2011 Heritage for $575.00.

50C 1946S PCGS MS66+ DAKOTA
ULTRA HIGH END!
Sold on
10/2011
WOW! When we sent this coin in for grading we expected an MS67. That darn + button was working that day!
No question this coin is superior to most MS66's. Practically no marks are visible. The dreaded right field has only one MICROSCOPIC tick visible ONLY with a glass. Otherwise it is smooth and clean. A full booming luster shows off beautiful snowy white surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is a major WOW factor!
PCGS 34, NGC 9, CAC 116 (ALL). In regular MS66 PCGS NON CAC the last auction result was $690.00 04/2011 Heritage. An PCGS MS67 CAC would cost you at least $2,500.00-if you can find one! This coin we have here certainly has all the bells, whistles, and is a near miss!

50C 1917 PCGS MS66 DAKOTA
The quality on this GEM is everything you would expect it to be. It is a rock solid MS66!
First we always look at the right field. It is above average in cleanliness and velvety appearance. Overall, this is a VERY clean and satiny coin. The luster is strong and shows off scattered puffs of mellow golden brown colors with hints of blue by the rims on the reverse. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is VERY pleasing!
PCGS 74, NGC 39, CAC 7. PCGS has graded only 2 coins higher. The last MS66 to sell in major auction was a NON CAC piece. It realized $1,955.00 06/11 Stacks. Opportunity knocks loud here!

$5 1911 PCGS PR66 ELIASBERG!
A SPECTACULAR GEM!
Sold on
10/2011
WOW! True GEM Matte Proof gold can be every bit as exciting as brilliant pieces are. Only PCGS (which the world knows is deathly afraid of grading matte Proofs) could come up with a reason as why this is not a PR67.
Virtually PERFECT surfaces have only a scattered line or two (which are ONLY visible with a strong glass). The Matte finish is totally GEM and is unmessed with. Deeper gold with a faint hint of olive are the colors. Of course every detail is needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is tremendous!
ONLY 139 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 3, NGC 17, CAC 1 (hard to believe PCGS has graded 5 coins higher-only one of which is beaned by CAC). In auction, PR65's are bringing $43,125.00 4/2008 while the last PCGS (NON CAC ) coin brought $36,000.00 in 2009 (as you can see, there must have been a quality issue). In PR67, these sell for $80,000.00+ with out CAC stickers.
The pedigree on this coin is the BEST-Eliasberg (the ONLY complete collection ever formed). The collection contained many US Golds that still rank today as the FINEST known! Opportunity is knocking with a sledgehammer here!

$10 1912S PCGS MS64
VERY CHOICE!
Sold on
10/2011
This is a wonderful example of a very scarce date that is hard to find nice!
Only a few teenie and hidden ticks keep this coin from full MS65 status. The surfaces are totally ORIGINAL and have full "skin" (a satiny look). A full booming luster shows off great orange gold color. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is great!
PCGS 42, NGC 44, CAC 12. Do not be fooled by the pops, this is a difficult date to find NICE in higher grades. The last one to sell at a major auction was a NON CAC piece that brought $10,925.00 12/08 Heritage. Next step up costs over $40,000.00-if you can ever find one!

H.10 1854 W/A PCGS PR65
A GLITTERING JEWEL!
Sold on
10/2011
Rarely do we see ANY denomination in the 1850's with exceptional proof mirrors-left alone a small Half Dime!
Much to our surprise, this coin is of VERY HIGH END quality. Typically, these come dull and flat. This coin is SUPERB!
Both sides exhibit crisp, clear, super clean, deep, and highly reflective mirrors. A moderate mix of olive/navy/golden brown colors evenly cover all of the surfaces (they do NOT dull the mirrors). Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and standout. The eye appeal is strong!
Less then 50 pieces were believed to have been minted. PCGS 4, NGC 4, CAC 1. PCGS has graded NONE higher, NGC has one coin a PR66. The current Collectors Universe price guide lists this coin at $16,000.00. Opportunity knocks loud here!

SUPERB IN EVERY RESPECT!
Sold on
10/2011
Amazing how CAC $20 Saints in MS67 have become as rare as a 94S 10C! You do NOT see them offered anywhere anymore. This coin was well worth the wait!
Superb and super clean surfaces have a slightly satiny texture. A booming luster shows off a beautiful gold color with a blush of pink. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is fabulous!
PCGS 67, NGC 88, CAC 15. The sightUNSEEN BID is $13,000.00 with SEVERAL bidders at that level. A NON CAC sold for $12,650.00 in 11/2010 B+M. Opportunity knocks loud for someone who wants a great example of a beautiful and highly popular Saint!

$20 1914 PCGS MS64+
VERY CHOICE!
Sold on
10/2011
Not quite a MS65, but not near average MS64 either. This is a really nice 1914 Saint!
Just a few very trivial ticks and lines are scattered around. Only with a glass can you really see them. The surfaces have a full booming luster. There are No stains or discolorations. The color is an ORIGINAL deeper orange gold. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 10, NGC 4, CAC 27 (ALL 64's). The next step up costs about $17,000.00 if you can find one of the 4 CAC has stickered. Opportunity knocks loud here!
