  PHENOMENALLY COLORED!
Sold on 12/2012
HIGH END!

Mother nature really put on a show here. Both sides have deep, clear, clean, and highly reflective mirrors. Clearly this coin has stunning ORIGINAL semi rainbow colors of violet/blue/green/gold that swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. This coin really is total eye candy!

ONLY 710 minted. PCGS 48, NGC 61, CAC 5. This coin is really NOT comparable to many others-it is that colorful! WE HAVE POSTED THIS COIN AT OUR BEST PRICE!

  VIRTUALLY MS65!
Sold on 12/2012
How cool is it to own one of the very first coins ever minted in near GEM condition? We think its awesome!

Only with a strong glass can you see some adjustment marks on the cheek and the upper left obverse. Otherwise, look as hard as you can, this coin really has perfect surfaces. No question this piece was carefully saved for its 217 years of existence. There is a strong ORIGINAL luster all over. Both sides also have very pretty and totally ORIGINAL colors of steel gray/green/gold/navy. Miss Liberty and the details have remarkable strikes that really do stand out. The eye appeal of this piece is incredible!

PCGS 25, NGC 35, CAC 5 (CAC has only stickered 2 coins finer). Next step up would easily cost $60,000.00+ if you could find one. Legend Numismatics is pleased to own and offer this magnificent GEM.

  WONDERFUL!
Sold on 12/2012
Absolutely a fantastic GEM!

Only with a strong glass can you see a few ultra light toning dots and a frost break. To the naked eye this coin is super clean. The surface are satiny and have a killer full booming luster. Both sides are nickel color. Miss Liberty and the details are amazingly struck-you do not need a glass to see the reverse corn. The eye appeal of this coin is spectacular!

PCGS 110, NGC 77, CAC 8. PCGS has graded only 18 coins higher (which sell for $6,000.00+). Sadly, this date (as is most of the series) suffers from gradeflation. There is no way a true GEM 1887 MS65 should be worth LESS than $1,000.00. That's just insanity (in our opinion). NO PCGS/CAC MS65's have sold in any major auction.

Our advice: If you are a contrarian collector, you should buy up all the coins like this you can (make sure they are PCGS/CAC)!

  BOLDLY SEMI-PROOFLIKE!
Sold on 12/2012
Going through a box of generics, this coin didn't just stand out-it jumped out! There are real mirrors on this coin!

While not a full prooflike, it sure is close. With a strong glass you can see the light die polishing lines. Both sides do have an intense headlight luster. The colors are stunning ORIGINAL deep yellow/pale orange gold. There are two teenie copper stains at 4:00-which proves this coin is not messed with. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is phenomenal!

PCGS 409, NGC 412, CAC 66. Silly us, we did not know in 2009 these were $2,200.00 coins. With gold at a record high and these having fallen, we KNOW these are a pretty good deal! The current WHOLESALE sightUNSEEN BID is $1,400.00 for any CAC.

  A NEAR GEM!
Sold on 12/2012
We know our 25S Peace Dollars-having handled and owned the FINEST examples of this date! We will ONLY buy these when they are really nice.

For an MS64, this coin is exceptionally clean. only one small tick can be seen. The surfaces do exhibit the typical 25S satiny "orange peel" texture. A surprisingly strong luster beams from all over. There is NO toning anywhere. Most impressive, are the well struck details. Miss Liberty also is bold and has lots of frost. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 1770, NGC 1641, CAC 92. Keep in mind, next step up costs $25,000.00 (if you can ever find one)!

  OUTRAGEOUS BLAST!
Sold on 11/2012
OK picky Morganites this is definitely the epitome of what a MS68 should look like!

Outrageous surfaces are nearly flawless and look like a newly made sheet of aluminum. Slight traces of semi-prooflike mirrors can be seen. Both sides have a monster full booming luster that will almost blind you. There is no toning-the color is an intense silvery white. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have full strikes. Her cheek defies the odds and is problem free. The eye appeal is tremendous and will blow you away!

PCGS 95, CAC 212, CAC 47. The last 81S PCGS MS68 CAC to sell in a major auction brought $5,875.00 10/12 Heritage. We promise, this coin is as good-and is most likely better-much better!

  SUPERB!
Sold on 11/2012
We LOVE FH 25C!. Would you believe its been 2 years since we last handled a 29 in PCGS MS66FH!!! Can't find coins that fit our quality standards.

Even using a really strong glass there are NO imperfections of ANY size, ANY where. Both sides have a full booming luster. There is NO toning and the color is a bold white. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. Only one rivet is slightly MIA. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 90, NGC 59, CAC 23. The last PCGS/CAC piece to sell in major auction brought $1,610.00 6/12 heritage. Opportunity knocks loud here!

  A SUPERB GEM!
Sold on 11/2012
We have actually pursued this coin for a few months. It had been owned buy a part time dealer. We just can't get really nice coins out of our heads!

There are NO major problems anywhere on this coin. You can see some light lines and a teenie tick, that's it. The surfaces do offer traces of ORIGINAL luster. Both sides are a GEM ORIGINAL deep gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations on the high points (this is NOT a dipped coin either). Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The wear is very light. We do consider this a GEM AU58. The eye appeal is great-and even better than a few MS61's we have seen!

PCGS 34, NGC 123, CAC 11. Do NOT be fooled by the pops, these are incredibly rare when they are properly graded. So far, the ONLY CAC coin to have sold in major auction has been an NGC. It brought $9,200.00 08/2011 Heritage. We paid much more for this one! Keep in mind, a real MS61 would cost well over $25,000.00. If you seek a great coin to start a $20 Gold collection with or need one for type, you will NOT be disappointed here!

No question this coin is a real MS66+. The surfaces only have a few minor frost breaks visible. There are NO cuts or problems. A strong luster shows off totally ORIGINAL even gold colors. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have strong strikes. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 106, NGC 126, CAC 235 (all including NON +). Keep in mind, there is a sightUNSEEN WHOLESALE BID of $3,850.00 for any +.

  INTENSELY LUSTROUS!
Sold on 11/2012
What a death defying amazing borderline GEM! When was the last time you saw or heard of one of these in MS63 or higher?

This coin is housed in a package generation one holder. It is HIGH END. The surfaces have a few light and scattered ticks-nothing deep or obvious. Incredibly, both sides beam with a full booming luster. An totally ORIGINAL mix of blue/golden brown colors evenly swirl over all of the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is spectacular!

PCGS 4, NGC 2, CAC 2. The last one of these to appear in a major public auction was just about 3 years ago! That coin realized $16,100.00 1/2010 Heritage. The ONLY coin graded finer is a NGC MS66-there are NO MS65's anywhere. We can not stress enough the extreme rarity of this spectacular coin!
