Item - 8866
$20 1852 PCGS AU58
  LUSTROUS!
Sold on 04/2013
Pretty neat looking for a big coin!

Of course there are the standard numerous tiny ticks, but they are just that, tiny. Traces of faint semi-prooflike mirrors can be seen. A booming luster shows off beautiful deep yellow gold colored surfaces with NO spots, satins, or dirt. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty, well struck, and display no real wear. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 86, NGC 78, CAC 14. We paid a little more than normal because this is a nicer piece. A great coin to add to any AU Early $20 set!

WE HAVE POSTED THIS COIN AT OUR BEST PRICE!

  A GREAT COIN!
Sold on 04/2013
We are pleased to have purchased a great example of an extremely popular date. If we had it out during the show it probably would have sold!

You can clearly tell this SUPERB GEM sat somewhere totally protected from the day it left the bank 106 years ago. Even using a strong glass, you can at best find a light scattered thin line, but there are NO marks, and NO real lines. This is one clean and satiny smooth piece. The surfaces emit a powerful luster and both sides are a beautiful, totally ORIGINAL yellow gold color. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is gorgeous!

PCGS 87, NGC 213, CAC 37. The last one of these (PCGS/CAC) to sell in a major auction brought $19,975.00 (1/13 Heritage). If you can find an MS67 it would easily cost you $75,000.00. We bought this coin right and can offer it right in a non auction setting!

  OVER 65% GEM RED!
Sold on 04/2013
We have not owned or handled one of these in years. There are so many bad coins in holders. Finally, this piece is one we wanted to own!

Most impressive is the color is ORIGINAL and you can easily see that over 65% of the coin is Mint Red in color. The balance is a faded brown. There are some light and pinpoint toning dots scattered all around. Not only do they not detract, they confirm the coins total ORIGINALITY. A very strong luster also shows off boldly struck details. You do not need a glass to see the overdate. The overall eye appeal is like the quality-SUPER!

PCGS 185, NGC 96, CAC 28. The last one of these to sell in a major auction brought $7,050.00 9/12 Heritage. Opportunity knocks loud here!

  A PLEASING CREAMY WHITE GEM!
Sold on 04/2013
This is a nice piece. Overall, the coin is clean and smooth. There is a light frost break in the dreaded right field-not a hack. Both sides are boldly lustrous. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is VERY nice!

PCGS 203, NGC 223, CAC 81. In the past few months these have been selling in auctions for $850.00-$1,100.00. Below $1,000.00 seems like a good value!

50C 1836 LETTERED EDGE PCGS PR66
  THIS COIN IS A MONSTER!
Sold on 04/2013
PCGS was stingy grading this MONSTER ONLY a PR66. When getting it imaged, we did resubmit it seeking at least a +. Regardless, this is the FINEST PR 1836 Lettered Edge Half in existence! ONLY 15 were ever minted!

This coin is incredible proof (pardon the pun) that when the mint wanted to make real proofs in the 1830's they certainly knew how too. The mirrors on this MONSTER will blow away any on a Proof Morgan or later Proof coin! Both sides feature mirrors that are incredibly deep, have crystal clear clarity, are remarkably clean (more lines and ticks on the holder than the coin) and of course have nearly blinding reflectivity. A MONSTER, jaw dropping, heart racing, eye popping color scheme of ORIGINAL electric royal blue/purple/pale gold colors swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have pinpoint sharp strikes. The details sort of look 3-D! The eye appeal is unbelievable!

ONLY 15 were ever minted. PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. NO PCGS/CAC PR66 have ever sold at auction. The current Collectors Universe value is $175,000.00, which seems cheap to us.

A coin like this will be a highlight of ANY collection it resides in. We consider it a full numismatic treasure! Like the 1836 RE PCGS PR64 Cameo we are offering, this coin one will also one day attain the status and correct valuation it deserves.

  SUPERB!
Sold on 04/2013
What a difference a little green bean makes! The quality of this coin IS far superior than 95% of what you'd see in MS66 holders. Sad but totally TRUE statement.

We were blown away by this coin's killer full booming luster. The surfaces have just a few scattered microscopic ticks (which are mentioned for accuracy) but are clean looking overall. There is a tiny grease spot hidden in the right field, but NO spots. A stunningly beautiful ORIGINAL orange gold color covers all of the surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have strong strikes. The eye appeal is exceptional!

PCGS 100, NGC 150, CAC 13. These are NOT easy to find in CAC. The last PCGS/CAC piece sold in auction nearly 2 year ago: 8/11 for $6,900.00. The NON CAC Duckor coin brought $10,925.00 (1/12). We bought this coin really right and will sell it fair. Remember, we were pretty much wiped out of our better gold at the show and we do not expect this coin to last long at all!

  A FABULOUS ORIGINAL GEM!
Sold on 04/2013
This coin is fabulous!

Shimmering GEMMY mirrors are ice like. They have only a few thin scattered lines you can find when using a really strong glass. All other characteristics: clarity, depth, and reflectivity are strong. An even mix of totally ORIGINAL purple/navy/deep tangerine colors are spread all over. Miss Liberty and the details have light frost and are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is great!

This is a PROOF ONLY date with just 979 minted. PCGS 15, NGC 26, CAC 5. The last PCGS/CAC piece to sell at major auction brought serious PQ money: $31,625.00 3/11 (that's along two years ago). The coin offered here is definitely priced much more reasonably.

  AWESOME!!!!
Sold on 03/2013
SUPER FLASHY AND HIGH QUALITY!

At first glance you would think 80-S PL or even DMPL. This coin is really prooflike! Deep 4" mirrors are amazingly clear and have just a few tiny spread out ticks. There is NO haze or milkiness whatsoever. Miss Liberty and the details are a thickly frosted creamy white and have needle sharp strikes and her cheek is unmessed with. This is NOT your typical 1890. We never see them prooflike like this! The eye appeal is fabulous!

PCGS 13, NGC 8, CAC 1. This coin has NEVER been in auction. Of course it's worth substantially more than any NON CAC.

  UNTONED AND STUNNING!
Sold on 03/2013
When we see PR Walkers with mirrors that are super clean, deep, crystal clear, and highly reflective, we buy them. There are NO problems anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and do have light frost. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 753, NGC 853, CAC 217. We think these are still great deals under $1,000.00!

  VERY HIGH END!
Sold on 03/2013
At one time this coin was an NGC PR67 CA. The quality is definitely VERY high end!

Deep, crystal clear, clean, and highly reflective mirrors beam from all over. A rich but beautiful mix of vivid ORIGINAL blue/green/navy/gold/rose colors swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are knife sharp in strike and have light frost. The eye appeal is fantastic!

ONLY 600 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 7, NGC 14, CAC 6. The last one of these to sell in major auction brought $2,291.00 08/12 Heritage. Certainly this coin is worth closer to PR67 then PR66!
