$1 1902 PCGS MS67 BELLA
  FANTASTIC!
Sold on 08/2013
From the Bella Collection. This beauty is all there and then some!

Sleek yet semi satiny surfaces are a joy to behold. They are pretty much mark and line free. A surprisingly strong luster also shows off totally ORIGINAL creamy white surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and have light frost. No question this coin was never messed with. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 24, NGC 16, CAC 6. There is one MS67+ piece locked up in major collection. The last PCGS/CAC MS67 example to sell in major auction was back in 1/2011 heritage. That coin realized $9,200.00. Good luck finding another PCGS /CAC piece!

HOW DID THIS COIN REMAIN SO NICE?
Sold on 08/2013
Its not so easy to find nice post 1900 O Mint coins. This piece is really superb!

Use a strong glass and take your time examining this beauty. You will find ZERO impairments of ANY size, ANY where. The surface are also sleek as well. A super strong luster shows off totally ORIGINAL creamy white surfaces. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do appear boldly. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 42, NGC 74, CAC 12. The last PCGS/CAC piece to sell in auction brought $6,463.00 01/2013 Heritage. There are NONE graded higher than MS67+!

$20 1923 PCGS MS64+
  VERY HIGH END!
Sold on 08/2013
We handpicked this coin from a major gold dealers "PQ" box. He claims to have tried it a few times for an MS65. We agree with its current grade.

This is definitely NOT your typical 1923. It has surfaces that are way superior to most that you will ever see. There are VERY few even tiny ticks. The texture is semi satiny. No question this coin has never been dipped or messed with. The color is a deep gold. There are NO spots. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have remarkable sharp strikes. The eye appeal is really nice!

PCGS 33, NGC 20, CAC 68 (in MS64 regular-which has 5600 coins between PCGS and NGC). CAC is extremely tough on how its grades these (which is why they have beaned only 8 MS65's out of 526 graded between PCGS and NGC). The last PCGS/CAC piece to sell in major auction brought $2,585.00 09/2012 Heritage. A PCGS/CAC MS65 would cost you at least $10,000.00-if you can even find one!

$20 1914S PCGS MS66
  A TERRIFIC PIECE!
Sold on 08/2013
Calling this coin above average does not do it justice! This coin is HIGH END and is really SUPERB in every respect!

Hard to find 14S Saints this nice-even the pops say there are a few around. This coin is different. Incredibly clean and smooth surfaces dominate both sides. Only with a strong glass can you see a teenie tick or two-and NONE detract or stand out. A full booming luster shows off ORIGINAL sunny orange colors. There are NO spots. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 101, NGC 150, CAC 14. If you think about it-CAC has only beaned a mere 5.5% of the pops-and that's nothing! The last 1914S to sell in major auction brought $9,600.00 3/13 Heritage. As time goes on, it will become harder to find nice beaned gold.

3CS 1870 PCGS PR66 CAMEO
  A TOTALLY ORIGINAL SUPERB GEM!
Sold on 08/2013
We know PR 3CS Silvers better then anyone. We have built the #1 all time MS+PR 3CS sets that exist! We can tell you, this coin is a real SUPERB GEM!

Deep, crystal clear, and highly reflective mirrors beam from all over. Only with a strong glass can you see a few stray and light die polishing lines. Moderate shades of navy/pewter/pale olive swirl all over. Every detail is needle sharp in strike and does have strong frost. The eye appeal is fabulous!

PCGS 8, NGC 3, CAC 6. According to our records, teh last one of these to sell in a major public auction brought $4,313.00-10/2006 Heritage. Think these are easy to find???? The lone PR67 CAC is in the #1 all time finest Legend collection and is NOT for sale. NOT!!!

  A FIERY MINT RED!
Sold on 08/2013
WOW is this coin sweet!

Only one teenie tick keeps it from a higher designation. Overall, the surfaces are smooth and are very clean. A surprising radiant luster beams from all over. Both sides are a fresh ORIGINAL GEM Mint red color. There is one teenie dead fleck on the reverse. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have extra sharp strikes. The eye appeal is bold!

PCGS 44, NGC 31, CAC 5. The last one to sell at public auction brought $3,819.00 10/12 Heritage. Prior to that one brought $4,312.00 1/2011. Its certainly been a while since a really stunning piece like this has been offered.

$1 1876CC PCGS MS64 BATTLE BORN
  A CHERRY GEM!
Sold on 08/2013
Having built the all time #1 ever set of MS Trade Dollars, we know from searching for years world wide how these do and do NOT come. We can tell you these CC dates do NOT come so nice. We have always been huge fans of this coin. It is the second nicest 76CC we have ever seen!

HIGH END surfaces are exceptionally clean overall. Only with a strong glass can you find a few teenie ticks. There is a surprisingly strong luster which seems to show faint hints of some mirrors. A totally ORIGINAL and really pretty mix of dove gray/lilac/golden brown/blue/pale purple colors all mix together and swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have amazing extra sharp strikes. The eye appeal is really wonderful!

PCGS 2, NGC 4, CAC 1. The ONLY coin finer is in our all time FINEST EVER #1 registry set-the Legend Collection. We did buy this at the 04/2013 CSNS Auction for $44,000.00. We thought that price was steal. In our opinion, a coin like this should be an easy $75,000.00 especially since you have modern stuff selling for that amount. We did not pursue it at the Battle Born because we had our sights on several coins for important collections.

If you browse through our offerings, you'll see we have the makings of a partial Trade Dollar set with a few toughies. We can build someone a really nice MS64-MS66 set. Let us know if your game! Otherwise, this coin belongs in the FINEST CC set. You can not do any better than this!

$1 1875CC PCGS MS64 BATTLE BORN
  REALLY NICE AND HIGH END!
Sold on 08/2013
Having spent the better part of career assisting with building and constantly upgrading the FINEST EVER MS Trade Dollar set, we know better than ANYONE how these coins come. 75CC's can come not so nice most of the time. When we see a really nice like this, we buy it!

The surfaces are delight to see. Marks, ticks, lines, etc are held to a bare minimum. The coin definitely looks clean and satiny. A surprisingly strong luster shows off totally ORIGINAL deep silver color. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have extra sharp strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!

PCGS 25, NGC 19, CAC 4. PCGS has graded only TWO coins higher (a 64+ and our MS66) after 25+ years of operations. That tells you a lot about how these do NOT come! This coin sold for a cheap $9,488.00 In Battle Born this past summer. The Collectors Universe value is more appropriate at $12,000.00. Regardless, we think these are VERY undervalued.

$1 1875 S/CC PCGS MS64
  A BORDERLINE MS65!
Sold on 08/2013
Legend Numismatics built the FINEST EVER MS Trade Dollar set for a very picky collector. We looked at virtually EVERY rare TD that exists to get there. We know what these coins SHOULD look like. Unhesitatingly we pronounce this piece a VERY HIGH END coin that is a borderline MS65!

From across the room you can see this coins impressive full booming luster. The surfaces show just a few very teenie light ticks scattered about (remember it is a big coin). Nothing catches your eye. There is a thin band of deeper golden brown hugging the obverse rims. The balance of the surfaces are a crispy creamy ORIGINAL white/pale gold. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have bold strikes. The S/CC is clear-you do not need a glass to see the right C. The overall eye appeal is spectacular!

PCGS 5, NGC 4, CAC 1. There is only ONE coin graded higher by PCGS-the MS65 that's in our all time FINEST set. NO MS64 CAC has ever sold in auction. In fact the last NON CAC to sell was FIVE years ago in 2008. That coin brought $27,600.00 1/08 Heritage. We can't stress enough the extreme rarity of this magnificent coin!

J-1021 $1 1870 PCGS PR66
  PHENOMENAL QUALITY!
Sold on 08/2013
This is a high R-7 (4-6 minted). It is a die trial for the regular design of 1870. The quality is "as struck" (like it left the Mint) and everything is totally ORIGINAL!

unusual for an aluminum piece that the planchet did not crumble or split during striking. There are NO problems to be found even using a strong glass. The mirrors are deep, clear, and do have bold reflectivity. A very light mist of pale pewter like color covers both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is phenomenal!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. The Simpson coin is a NGC PR67 Cameo. There are NO auction records for this coin. The Judd book values these at $27,500.00 in PR65. We do know it has been with the Denali Collection since 1990. If you are a serious Pattern buyer, or love off metal coins, this may be your ONLY opportunity to acquire a monster GEM example.
