Gold:Half Eagles:Indian
Item - 8974
$5 1916S PCGS MS64
  VERY HIGH END!
Sold on 06/2013
If this piece had a + on it, we would not flinch. We do agree this coin is VERY high end!

Remarkably clean and smooth surfaces highlight both sides. Even the dreaded right reverse is exceptionally clean and smooth. A strong luster shows off totally ORIGINAL deeper gold colored surfaces. There are NO spots. All of the details are frosty and have extra sharp strikes. There are NO problems on the high points. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 83, NGC 73, CAC 8. Hard to believe the last PCGS/CAC piece to sell in auction brought $12,075.00 back in 08/2010 Heritage. These are NOT easy to find-even though quite a few have been graded.

$5 1836 PCGS MS63
  GORGEOUS!
Sold on 06/2013
A highly deceptive rarity in really great condition!

No question this coin is high end. The surfaces are clean to the naked eye but do have enough tiny ticks/lines when viewed under a glass to warrant a 63 designation. Most importantly both sides radiate an intense booming luster and exhibit a beautiful totally ORIGINAL yellow gold color. There are NO spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 11, NGC 23, CAC 2. This is the coin that just sold in the Stacks sale for $16,450.00. This is the ONLY PCGS/CAC piece to have sold in auction. Even an NGC piece realized $14,950.00 (10/11 Heritage).

We cannot stress enough how rare and hard to find these are, especially in this condition. MS64s, of which CAC has only beaned one, are nonexistent. This does happen to be a beautiful coin worthy of any choice set!

WE HAVE POSTED THIS COIN AT OUR BEST PRICE!

$1 1895 PCGS PR65+
  THE REAL KING OF MORGANS!
Sold on 06/2013
An awesome totally ORIGINAL coin!

The mirrors are deep, crystal clear, clean, and have bold reflectivity. They look like a freshly formed sheet of glass. Many layers of rich and totally ORIGINAL magenta/gold/olive/navy/lime colors all blend together magically on both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are "as struck" and boldly stand out. the colors are a little darker but not dull or black. The eye appeal is really nice!

Only 880 were ever minted of this Proof ONLY date. PCGS 14, NGC 33, CAC 2. This is the ONLY PCGS PR65+ graded. It is fresh to the market also. Collectors Universe value a PR65+ at $84,000.00.

25C 1915 PCGS PR67
  SUPERB IN EVERY RESPECT!
Sold on 06/2013
Sadly, this coin has actually lingered on the market for a little while. We finally snagged it at what we feel is a terrific price and had it been at CSNS it probably would have sold for more!

Sleek, glass like mirrors are deep, crystal clear, remarkably clean, and boldly reflective. An unquestionable natural mix of ORIGINAL green/pale navy/purple/gold/blue colors all swirl on the obverse. The reverse has a little more dusky navy color. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is beautiful!

ONLY 450 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 10, NGC 14, CAC 6. This coin last sold in 8/12 for $11,750.00. We think this coin is very reasonable for all it offers!

25C 1900 PCGS PR68 CAMEO
  THE EPITOME OF PERFECTION!
Sold on 06/2013
Finally, coins like this are starting to gain some respect. In near perfect condition like this, these are RARE!

Deep, clear, ultra clean, and highly reflective mirrors are dreamy. There is a light mix of ORIGINAL pale reddish gold/golden brown splashed around. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and boldly stand out with thick creamy white frost. The eye appeal is tremendous!

ONLY 912 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 2, NGC 3, CAC 3 (we think this coin is 2x). This was the only PCGS/CAC PR68 CA to ever sell at auction. It brought $14,100.00 4/2013 Heritage. As time goes on, that price will appear to be cheap!

25C 1853 A/R PCGS MS65
  ORIGINAL AND SUPERB!
Sold on 06/2013
A nice GEM 53 A/R like this can be impossible to find. This coin is an old friend and we are glad to have been able to repurchase it.

Save for a teenie and thin line/tick or two HIDDEN in the left obverse fields (you need a glass to see), this coin is clean and smooth overall. A surprisingly strong luster shows off beautiful and totally ORIGINAL colors of dove gray/soft pale navy/gold/golden brown that swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is really wonderful!

PCGS 16, NGC 27, CAC 4. PCGS has graded possibly six coins higher (and we have only ever seen one). The last one to sell in major auction brought $18,400.00 03/2012 Heritage. Again, these are extremely rare coins-do not be fooled by the pops!

3CS 1857 PCGS MS66 EX SIMPSON
  A TERRIFIC GEM!
Sold on 06/2013
A duplicate from the all time FINEST MS Set! This particular coin had been purchased for the set back in the 1990s. Legend wouldn't buy just any coin for the #1 set it was building, the coin had to be the finest, and until now it was (we replaced it with a wildly colored PCGS/CAC MS67).

Absolutely FLAWLESS surfaces have no hidden ticks or giggles, and the smooth surfaces emit a strong luster. This coin is untoned and we do NOT think it has ever been dipped. We still see lots of ORIGINAL skin. Every detail has a pinpoint sharp strike and the eye appeal is fabulous!

PCGS 6, NGC 13, CAC 3. When was the last time you remember seeing ANY 1857 MS66s for sale, let alone ANY TYIIs that were CAC stickered? The only auction record we show is for one selling way back in 2004. We cannot stress enough how extremely RARE these SUPERB GEM TYII pieces are. If you collect GEM 3CS, you are not going to find a better opportunity to acquire a coin like this! It has been vetted by the only dealer in the world capable of building the ALL TIME FINEST SET EVER and for over a dozen years, it WAS the finest of the set!

$3 1867 PCGS MS62
  SUPER HIGH END!
Sold on 06/2013
We have actually resubmitted this coin TWICE seeking an MS63. Not even a +. We surrender! While it may never 62+ or 63, it is one heck of a coin!

Boldly semi-prooflike surfaces are surprisingly clean overall. You can see some MINT MADE die striations, but there are NO big hits. An intense luster also shows off gorgeous ORIGINAL two tone bright yellow/orange gold colors. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is spectacular!

ONLY 2600 were ever minted. This is a VERY underrated date! PCGS 9, NGC 9, CAC 3 (we think this coin is 2 of the beans). PCGS has only graded 7 coins higher (possibly). The last one to sell in major auction was a PCGS NON CAC piece. That brought $8,050.00 12/2011-a long time ago! if your looking for a "different" kind of gold coin, you should check this out!

3CS 1855 PCGS PR64
  ULTRA HIGH END!
Sold on 06/2013
Having built the top TWO all time FINEST EVER MS+PR 3CS sets, we are fully capable of grading these! It is our strong opinion that at the very least, this coin is a PR64.9+ (we did try it for a PR65-no luck-and we make NO promises). We think PCGS wanted a bit light toning (1855's come this way).

Using a strong glass all we can find is one small line-which may even be a die break. Overall, the mirrors are clean, clear, and have strong reflectivity. Both sides are evenly coated in a totally ORIGINAL moderate mix of navy/pale gold/purple colors. Every detail is needles sharp in strike and does stand out. The eye appeal is VERY pleasing!

It is believed LESS then 50 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 4, NGC 9, CAC 1. The last auction record we have for one of these selling was back in 10/2008 when a NON CAC PCGS piece brought $9,775.00. If you collect PR 3CS, we can't stress what a tremendous opportunity this coin offers.

$5 1800 PCGS MS64
  VERY CHOICE!
Sold on 06/2013
WOW what a neat coin! This piece is totally ORIGINAL and has great looks!

The surfaces are above average. There are some ultra light ticks and giggles (a few light lines). However overall this is a real solid MS64 piece. Some light die clashing is visible too. The luster is surprisingly intense. It shows off totally ORIGINAL shades of deep gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have extra sharp strikes. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 6, NGC 7, CAC 5. Prior to this coin recent sale, the last one of these to hit the market was waaaay back in 2005. That coin realized $57,500.00 Heritage. Even an NGC MS64 sold for $80,500.00 2011 Heritage. You can tell these are rare coins that the market understands. This is the first 1800 PCGS MS64 we have ever owned. We can tell you they are extremely scarce. This coin will thrill any early gold enthusiast!
