J- 615 3CN 1868 PCGS PR65CAMEO DENALI COLLECTION
  SOLID FOR THE GRADE!
Sold on 11/2010
This coin is a R-5 (3-76 minted). No question it is a PR65 all day long!

Both sides have a light even original layer of pale pewter toning. The mirrors are clearly visible and have a decent amount of reflectivity. Under a strong glass you can see a minor planchet imperfection on the left obverse. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have bold strikes. The eye appeal is very nice!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. Next to the NGC PR66 Cameo Simpson coin, this is the second finest known for J-615 (its the finest PCGS has graded). We have it priced ridiculously right!

J- 558 3CN 1867 PCGS PR64RB DENALI COLLECTION
  OVER 80% GEM RED!
Sold on 11/2010
This is a R-7 (7-12 pieces minted). We believe this coin is the second finest known example of a J-558 (the finest example is in our Simpson Collection of patterns).

PCGS showed no mercy on this GEM! Mostly ORIGINAL MINT RD surfaces are super clean and smooth. A surprisingly strong luster also shows off fully struck details. Its really hard to see why it is only a PR64. The eye appeal is gorgeous!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. There are NO auction records for ANY PCGS pieces. An NGC piece last sold in 1997 for $2,645.00! Everything about this coin is cool!

J- 414 3CN 1865 PCGS PR64 DENALI COLLECTION
  MADE FROM ORIDE!
Sold on 11/2010
This coin is an R-7 (only 7-12 minted). Needless to say, we have not seen many coins minted (even as patterns) that were stuck from oroide. The Mint was testing everything to make the best coin.

Both sides are lightly toned and do have teenie toning dots scattered about (they are NOT numerous or detracting). Surprisingly, there is a strong original luster remaining. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is actually nice!

PCGS 1, NGC 1, CAC 1. PCGS has ONLY ONE coin graded higher. We have only seen one other of these offered (its now in the Simpson pattern collection)! The last auction record for a 64 was back in 2003 where it sold for $5,980.00. Opportunity knocks loud here!

J- 410 3CN 1865 PCGS PR66 DENALI COLLECTION
  LIGHT PASTEL COLORS!
Sold on 11/2010
This piece is an R-6 (24-30 minted). It is made from Nickel and is nearly identical to the design used (just minor differences). It also have pretty light colors.

Both sides are perfect. Use the strongest glass you can, there are no flecks, marks, nothing to distract. The mirrors are decent and shows off the sandy pastel shades that circle both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal of this piece is very pretty.

PCGS 3, NGC 1, CAC 1. Back in 2008, a PR65 SOLD for $9,200.00 in a Heritage sale 02/08. Here is an important tip bit: a REGULAR PR66 1865 has a pop of 14 and costs about $7,500.00! This coin has serious fundamental value (along with historical greatness of being a pattern).

J- 312 2C 1863 PCGS PR64BN EX DENALI COLLECTION
  SUPERB MIRRORS!
Sold on 11/2010
This is a R-4 (76-200 minted). It looks virtually the same as the regular issue-except on the reverse!

Surprisingly strong mirrors are crystal clear and offer bold reflectivity. There are NO spots. A pretty mix of pale purple/deep golden brown/pale violet cover most of the surfaces. There is a teenie hint of red. Every detail is needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 25, NGC 1. Priced the same as any 1864 would be! What a cool addition to a PR 2C Set!

1C 1944D STEEL CENT NGC AU55
  LOOKS BETTER THAN JUST AU55!
Sold on 11/2010
Even in worn down, choppy, low circ. condition (about good) these coins are so rare and in demand they trade for $12,000.00! This is a killer AU55 and is the ONLY 1944D Cent stickered by CAC!

This is one of the few Steel cents we have ever seen without planchet issues. Typically they come rough and looking chewed up. The surfaces are smooth and original. They do offer a little luster. Lincoln and all of the details are well struck. These were made from leftover blanks from 1943. While there is no exact mintage known, it is estimated that for 44D less than a dozen pieces exist.

PCGS 0, NGC 1, CAC 1. Here is your chance to own are very rare and historic piece.

1C 1850 PCGS MS65RD
  A TRUE ORIGINAL RED GEM!
Sold on 11/2010
It boggles our minds how this coin could stay so original and in GEM condition for 160 years. After all, it is copper. Unless you live in a smoke zone, if you store this coin right it will remain an important piece of well preserved numismatic history forever!

The surfaces are super clean and have a full booming luster. Totally original MINT RED color with hints of light toning covers both sides (do not worry, this coin is definitely NOT turning color). There are NO spots anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is really fabulous!

PCGS 20, NGC 5, CAC 2. These are not as easy to find as the pops may let you think. PCGS and NGC each have only graded one coin higher! Opportunity knocks loud here.

1C 1840 LARGE DATE PCGS MS65 RB NAFTZGER
  UNREAL!
Sold on 11/2010
This is a typical Naftzger coin, UNBELIEVABLE! How on earth did this copper coin survive 170 years untouched?

No exaggeration, our knees are shaking as we examine this monster. BOTH sides have a full booming and unbroken cartwheel type luster. Even if you don't tilt the coin, the coin will dazzle you by radiating itself! The surfaces are ultra clean and have just a few trivial and teenie toning dots. There are ZERO impairments. The color is a totally ORIGINAL GEM 65% Mint Red. The brown color is light and mixes with some blue. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. They are as sharp as we have seen on some proofs. The eye appeal is nothing less than spectacular!

PCGS 6, NGC 0, CAC 2. PCGS has graded only ONE coin higher. The last one of these to sell in major auction brought $11,500.00 09/09 Goldberg. We can not stress enough what a tremendous opportunity this coin represents. When these few Naftzger coins are gone, there will NEVER be quality like this offered in the marketplace again. In a few years, the prices will seem like bargains (which they really are).

If you are a Large Cent Collector or are building a GEM Type set, do NOT pass this monster coin up!

1C 1909 LINCOLN PCGS PR66RB
  VIRTUALLY PERFECT!
Sold on 11/2010
If you dissected this coin with a powerful atomic microscope, you might find an invisible toning speck and that's it. Overall, the GEM is amazingly clean. The surfaces are a smooth matte finish. There actually is good luster. The color is a faded red by the peripheries and a mellow brown in the centers. Both colors are totally ORIGINAL. Lincoln and all the details are needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is super!

PCGS 22, NGC 23, CAC 3. This coin is housed in an older green tag holder. The last one to sell at a major auction brought $5,175.00 02/10 Heritage. Prior to that one sold in auction in 2008 for $5,750.00 12/08 Heritage.

We can not stress enough what an important opportunity this coin presents for any picky Lincoln Cent Proof Collector!

10C 1874 W/A PCGS PR64 CAMEO
  GREAT MIRRORS!
Sold on 11/2010
We were shocked to find we have not owned or handled one of these in at least 5 years! These are much scarcer than the pops indicate!

The wait was well worth it. Both sides are covered by deep, clear, clean (there are only a few light stray lines), and highly reflective mirrors. The contrast is vivid and there is NO toning anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are boldly frosted and are fully struck. The eye appeal is extremely flashy!

ONLY 700 pieces were minted. PCGS 9, NGC 4, CAC 2 (no other grades have been beaned). Also, much to our surprise, PCGS has graded NONE higher in cameo. Opportunity definitely knocks loud here.

WE HAVE POSTED THIS COIN AT OUR BEST PRICE!
