Gold:Three Dollar
Item - 8565
$3 1862 PCGS MS65
  A 150 YEAR OLD MASTERPIECE!
Sold on 12/2012
Looking for a wicked cool gold coin to put away? Looking for just a wicked cool $3??? We are pleased to own and offer this GEM specimen for the person seeking either or!

Hard to believe this coin is 150 years old. It has survived magically. to the naked eye the surfaces have NO flaws. With a strong glass you can see some Mint made die striations (die polishing) and a few light frost breaks. Both sides have bold semi-prooflike mirrors and an intense luster. The color is a deep electric gold. There are NO spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and are really frosty. The eye appeal is totally a knock out!

ONLY 5750 were ever minted. PCGS 5, NGC 2, CAC 2. PCGS has graded possibly 2 in MS66 (at least one is locked up in major a collection). CAC has beaned NONE higher. The last one to sell in major auction was a PCGS/NON CAC. It brought $40,250.00 04/2009 Heritage.

We can not stress enough the great rarity this coin represents. We see no reason why true masterpieces like this are not selling for $75,000.00-$100,000.00. You sure do not see them offered!

5C 1913S TYI I PCGS MS66+
  NEAT LOOKING!
Sold on 12/2012
These TYI Buffaloes can be so neat looking! This coin is also VERY high end!

Both sides have that slight Matte texture. A strong luster shows off NO real problems of any size, any where. The color is a total ORIGINAL pale gold. All of the details are sharply struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 125, NGC 54, CAC 16. PCGS has graded ONLY 6 coins MS66+. None have sold in any auctions. An PCGS /CAC MS67 would cost at least $4,500.00-if you can find one!

WE HAVE POSTED THIS COIN AT OUR BEST PRICE!

50C 1877 PCGS MS66+
  BEAUTIFUL!
Sold on 12/2012
Totally ORIGINAL moderate colors of blue/green/golden brown/pale violet/tangerine/gold all swirl effortlessly over the surfaces. A full booming luster adds to the beauty. The surfaces are super clean and are smooth. We do grade the reverse a full MS67. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have an exceptional strike. The eye appeal is gorgeous!

PCGS 18, NGC 15, CAC 7. PCGS has graded only 3 (this maybe 2) MS66+'s. There are ONLY MS67's. The last MS66+ sell in major auction brought $7,475.00 7/12 Heritage. We think coins like this have been VERY over looked in this market.

$20 1926S PCGS MS64+
  VERY CHOICE!
Sold on 12/2012
This coin is more than worthy of being designated a +!

Typically this date comes dull and crusty. This coin is not. Both sides are clean and lively. There is one small line visible in the upper right obverse while the rest of the coin is super clean. A full booming luster (which is unusual) shows off an ORIGINAL deep gold color. There are NO spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 321, NGC 287, CAC 25. In MS64+ PCGS has graded ONLY 24 coins. One sold for $14,375.00 03/12 Heritage. Next step up costs $40,000.00-if you can find one!

50C 1942 PCGS PR67
  GLASS LIKE MIRRORS!
Sold on 12/2012
We're down to our last few PR67 Walkers. We do not see many being offered anymore at the lower levels. Just watch prices rebound (it may take a little while).

This coin is especially nice. Deep and glass like mirrors are pure, have great clarity, are clean, and have strong reflectivity. There is NO haze. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do have light silvery frost. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 744, NGC 854, CAC 188. our bids sure are NOT being hit on these!

  HIGH END!
Sold on 12/2012
We do not understand how PCGS decides what gets + and what do not. We have seen coins lesser than this with +. Regardless, this is a great piece!

To start, the surfaces are exceptionally clean and satiny. Only a few super teenie frost breaks and ticks are visible-if you look really hard. A full booming luster shows off heart pounding beautiful snowy white color. Miss Liberty and the details are extra sharp in strike for a notoriously weak S Mint. The eye appeal is fabulous!

PCGS 1704, NGC 1269, CAC 110. One recently sold in Heritage Long Beach for $1,360.00 (not his coin). Prior to that, one sold in the Heritage FUN 2012 sale for $1,725.00.

If you are picky, you WILL be happy with this piece!

  PERFECT!
Sold on 12/2012
This is an R-4 (76-200 minted) Copper Pattern. It was a trial for the upcoming 2C pieces. The quality is superior to most and the originality is incredible!

Sensational surfaces have light mirrors. These 1863 2C Patterns were never known to have highly polished dies. There are NO spots or discolorations anywhere. The surfaces are an even ORIGINAL moderate chocolate on the obverse and chocolate/pinkish Mint Red on the reverse. Every detail is needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 3, NGC 0, CAC 1. Only a NGC coin has sold in auction-that coin (a NON CAC) brought $3,220.00 08/07 Heritage. You can't buy a regular PR65RD or even a PR66RB for $3,500.00 anymore! This coin in our opinion definitely represents a great value!

$2.5 1896 PCGS MS66
  AWESOME!
Sold on 12/2012
No question this coin is VERY premium quality!

The ONLY imperfection we could find-was a thin line you need a glass to see. Overall, the surfaces are satiny, smooth, clean, and boldly lustrous. There are NO spots or discolorations. Both sides are a beautiful ORIGINAL yellow gold color. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 20, NGC 25, CAC 6. The last PCGS/CAC piece to sell in a major auction brought $4,025.00 1/12 Heritage. Now is a good time to buy coins like this-they are off their highs in sympathy from when gold dropped earlier this year. WE HAVE POSTED THIS COIN AT OUR BEST PRICE!

50C SESQUI PCGS MS65
  SOLID FOR THE GRADE!
Sold on 12/2012
It is nearly impossible to find these beaned. CAC is extra picky about the quality it will accept for these to be called GEM. This coin easily is a SOLID MS65!

Immediately you see a full booming luster. The surfaces do appear sleek and clean. Only with a strong glass will find a few microscopic ticks and a line or two. A natural super light hint of lilac/gold covers parts of the surfaces. All of the details are well stuck (these can come notoriously flat). The eye appeal is excellent!

PCGS 276, NGC 282, CAC 43. We are blown away at how cheap these have become (the last ones we owned sold for OVER $5,000.00 back in 2008)! The last one to sell in major auction brought $3,290.00 11/12 Stacks. If your building a GEM Commem set, this piece certainly won't bust your budget!
