Gold:Double Eagles:Saint-Gaudens
Item - 4919
$20 1928 PCGS MS67
THE WINNER OF THE 2010 OSCAR FOR BEST MS67 SAINT!
Sold on 03/2010
WOW! What a classic this coin is! Legend is the undisputed MAJOR market maker of MS67 Saints. We have seen probably 75% of ALL the coins graded by PCGS+NGC. This coin just stands out at the top! Sure 2010 is young, but we doubt this Saint will be topped!

A SUPERB GEM in every respect, this coin has both superior technical qualities as well as eye appeal. The surfaces are super clean overall and have NO spots or discolorations. An intense luster shows off moderate but heart pounding two tone gold/orange gold colors. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is spectacular!

PCGS 64, NGC 83, CAC 11.

Legend really is the strongest buyer of PCGS CAC (ONLY) MS67 Saints. Call us if you have any for sale!

$10 1907 NO MOTTO PCGS MS65
THIS WILL MAKE YORU HEART POUND!
Sold on 03/2010
VERY HIGH END!

Only a HIDDEN tick on the reverse might be why back in the gold old days (yes, this coin is in a OGH) PCGS graded it an MS65 and not an MS66 (which we would not quibble with). Overall, the surfaces are satiny smooth, intensely lustrous, totally original, and have a booming luster. There are NO spots or discolorations-and this is NOT a dipped coin. The color is a bright yellow/light orange gold. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal of this GEM is fantastic!

PCGS 195, NGC 328, CAC 20. This coin will be a star in ANY high end set!

$1 1900 O/CC PCGS MS66
  A PHENEOMENAL GEM!
Sold on 03/2010
We love the drama of there being an O/CC in 1900. This has forever been one of our all time favorite dates and grades in the Morgan series! The other just happens to be the 1894 PCGS MS66 $1 we have listed in our NEWPS.

There is no question in our minds that this coin not only is SUPER HIGH END, but it ranks in the top 2% of all MS66's graded for the date!

Both sides are remarkably clean-displaying on a very minor and widely scattered tick or two here and there. A monster full booming luster enhances the gorgeous white color. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are fully struck. The O/CC is so crisp you do not need a glass to see it. The eye appeal of this coin is wonderful!

PCGS 76, NGC 10, CAC 7. PCGS has graded only 2 coins higher (one sold for $25,000.00 earlier this year). Opportunity knocks loud for the serious and pickiest Morgan Collector!

H.01 1854 PCGS MS65RB
  TOTALLY ORIGINAL!
Sold on 03/2010
Not nearly as common as you might think. We believe ANY GEM MS Half Cent is a great rarity and is undervalued! When do you ever see them in PCGS holders or with a CAC sticker? NEVER!

Originality oozes from all over on this GEM. Both sides are incredibly clean and have not been brushed. There is one teenie dot on the left obverse-NO spots. A deeper shade of brown toning mixes with generous faded mint red. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do appear boldly. The eye appeal is pleasing!

PCGS 10, NGC 14,CAC 2. PCGS has graded only one coin finer. There are NO auction records for the past few years (since 1990). Opportunity knocks loud here!

tThis is a blast SNOW WHITE GEM! There are a few MINOR ticks or white spots. Nothing detracts. Miss Liberty and the details are VERY clean, sharply struck, and thickly frosted. The eye appeal is flashy!

PCGS 14300, NGC 25399, CAC 138.

10C 1892 PCGS PR66 CAMEO
  ULTRA HIGH END!
Sold on 03/2010
How high end is this? We bought this coin from a dealer who down graded it from an NGC PR67. It sure looks better than an PR66!

PCGS will always find a reason to do what they do to coins like this. Here the ONLY thing we could find-its a touch of LIGHT irregular toning on the reverse. Otherwise, the coin is PR67 calibre. The mirrors are deep, crystal clear, clean, and have powerful flash. There is a heart pounding ring of gold/royal blue/violet that is on the obverse while just gold does the back. Miss Liberty and every detail is needle sharp in strike. ALL of the features are thickly frosted too. The eye appeal is tremendous!

PCGS 11, NGC 6, CAC 1. No one should ever argue about the grade on this killer GEM!

10C 1913 PCGS PR64
  SHOULD BE A CAMEO!
Sold on 03/2010
We have no idea why PCGS did not designate this firecracker of a coin a Cameo. It sure looks cameoed to us!

Super deep and crystal clear mirrors have NO problem anywhere. They appear silvery black. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and have bold silvery white frost. The eye appeal is tremendous! We wish all non cameoes could look like this.

ONLY 622 pieces were minted. PCGS 73, NGC 60, CAC 2.

50C 1942 PCGS PR67
  LIQUID MIRRORS!
Sold on 03/2010
Lately its been impossible to find these in PCGS holders with good mirrors. This coin is exactly what we have been seeking!

Both sides have totally "liquid" mirrors. They are deep, clean, crystal clear, and most important, have bold reflectivity. There are a few lines on the holder-NOT the coin! Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted a silver color and are sharply struck. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 689, NGC 811, CAC 52.
